Light painting in P8 Lite

Hey,
I've got a question - has somebody port the camera app from Chinese firmware? I have android 6.0 on my P8 lite, but light painting was not included. I've tested this option on P8 and i want to have it on my phone

I guess hypotheticaly you would loose your warranty but you can almost always recover your phone from software issues and only have to send it in for hardware stuff and they most likely wont even realize that youre using chinese software so it doesnt actually matter, but its at your own risk.

Hi;
Do you know how can we install the chinese firmware on our P8 lite?
I have B565 EU Sim only version but i wouldnt mind installing the chinese version if its going to give me the light painting and call recording functions.
Help would be appreciated.

Went through the whole general section but could not find the thread.
I think the reason being, he removed most of the threads hence they are no longer available
I very rarely ask questions and only if i really cannot find the answer. But i think someone has gotten on Sokkoban's nerves. So they are no longer accessible...

This ROM is rooted and therefore Snapchat won't allow you to log in. I have seen some solutions to this issue a while back, do a search and I'm sure you'll find a way around this issue.

Use Linux. I have the Same Problems. Just use a virtual machine.

Can honor 4c users flash this rom with twrp, both phones use same rom with some modifications

you need to authorize your pc to use your phone. you should had received a message with authorization on your phone the moment you plugged your phone into pc ... it's your usb debugging activated?

the zip will flash, but the system wont be installed, and if you made it to install, the phone wont boot
but if you want, try, i tested on Honor 4x (che2)

How to fix snapchat

is this rom stable? is it good for daily use?

Note 8 N9500 root and tarp possible?

I bought the blue version. Could someone confirm if root and twrp is possible for Snapdragon N9500 version?
Also any decent ROMs for this phone

This is what me2151 answered to my question if the N9500 is supported or not and it is not supported and no plans to support it. Only US based Qualcomm devices are supported by SamFAIL root method.

It's possible. I unlocked my BL with this file. Currently waiting for people to make 3rd party roms for it.

Knox was tripped to 0x1 as expected... Magisc is running pretty good except the know issue that it sometimes disappear and i have to restart so it is "rooted" again. Only thing that im not happy about is that i have a badge notification on the settings icon because device is rooted and i dont know how to remove it without disabling the badge app, here are my screenshots

Thanks that helped a little but it is only for the settings icon and the notification bar and those are there again after a restart :/ is there any app i can freeze that report the device status?

Hi there, I rooted using the same method but unfotunately every time I have done it when I login into my google account the phone sofbricks with the FRP lock and nothing else can be done, just reinstall the stock rom and start again all the process. Can somebody help me to understand whats happening and how to avoid it? The device is the Note 8 N9500

it doesnt work!!! i booted to twrp for oreo & tried flashing it, but it gave error. Can you please upload the file to some other server or website the current one that being used didnt auto download the file. had to change server & all.

Do i need to downgrade to nougat before flashing this?

1 st Custom rom in XDA for Mi A1
Awesome great work devs, hope you guys make this rom stable.

Still doesnt work.. i flashed nougat 7.1.2, booted to twrp using 3.1.1.1 which didnt recognise my internal storage space. I again flashed oreo & booted via twrp 3.2.1 which is for oreo & my laptop detected the internal storage which wasnt happening in 3.1.1.1

Upgrading Redmi 9 questions

Hello peeps,
I recently purchased a Redmi 9, it came with MiUI Global 11.0.7 Stable (QJCLMCR). I've been trying to update it through the phone butI haven't been able. Some friends that already have MiUI 12 told me thatsince I purchased it through the phone compnay they modify the ROM to add their apps and stuff anf that may be what's preventing me from updating and I'd have to update it manually if I didn't weant to wait.
I googled how to do it manually and it involded downloading the ROM but they seem to have a different version than mine (QJCLMCR) I don't know if this would work with mine or if I should check anything before installing it. I seriously don't want to mess up my phone so I'd appreciate any help with this. Does this would work with my version or do I have to look somewhere else?

Bro , from which country do you come from? it seems you are from Colombia . You have an operator modified version of miui, in your case I think it's Claro. You cannot update manually, nor use one of those roms in the image since you can hard brick your phone. You have two options: Wait for your carrier to release the update (which usually never happens) or change to the Global Rom, you must unlock the bootloader and flash via MiTool.
And you can remove the Preinstalled apps with ADB ! (you must be careful!). Cheers!!!

Yes, you're correct, I'm in Colombia with a Claro phone. I guess it's a good thing I asked beforehand. I'd try to change to the Global Rom, thank you for your the information!
