where do i find the OTA files to flash nougat with flashfire? - Galaxy Tab S2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

...subject says it all. I want to flash nougat onto my Tab S2 8.0 (SM-T719), with flashfire to keep root. Where do i get the OTA as download?

I got mine from here
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-tab-s2-80/SM-T719/

That one I know... arent those the full flash images? I am looking for OTAs to flash with flashfire w/o loosing root... and on the same thought: for the S6 Edge, too.

[Q] Unlocked AT&T device. Will it get the Lollipop Update?

Hello. I have a Galaxy S5 from AT&T, but it's unlocked and I'm using it with another carrier (I'm in Argentina). Will I get the update? I didn't get it so far and when I try to manually update from System Update and Kies. I'm worried that I won't get it because it's an unlocked phone.
Do I just have to wait or there is a different procedure for unlocked devices? Thanks in advance!
Same here I have carrier unlocked s5 active g870a at&t and no at&t support here in India .....still on 4.4.2 Stock and didn't get OTA update 4.4.4 and I am sure will not get 5.0 lollipop either. ..kies is not updating my device.....so where can I download 5.0 official at&t update flashable ZIP folder....wherever it's available. .....because I couldn't find 4.4.4 official at&t flashable ZIP folder update till now....thanks in advance

Either way, the 5.0 update is not out yet for the S5 Active....we're still waiting.
I don't know what is S5 Active. My phone is SM-G900A and I've read that it got the update this week (sorry, I can't add a link because I'm a new user).
If I won't get the update because I'm not using AT&T, what can I do? I don't want to root and flash a rom.
bump
Using an unlocked AT&T S5 in Canada.
Can't get 4.4.4 or 5.0 OTA (says no update available). Been using stock firmware ever since I got it.
Any Odin useable firmware I can use?
(is the firmware here safe to use with Odin? : http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s5/general/ota-update-5-0-t3076449)
Edit: Also, why doesn't SAMMOBILE have the 4.4.4 update? : http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G900A/
Attached proof that Kies is complete BS.
(screenshot taken today... two official firmwares after the "latest" one in Kies)
Search for OA1 & OC4 stock zips, there are both on a thread. You can flash them via stock recovery.
where can i download official 4.4.4. Updated (zip and flashable) for samsung s5 active g870a ....it's not available on sammobile.....no at&t OTA Support here in India. ...because before getting 5.0 I should be on 4.4.4 . please help...

Does anyone knows if you keep "the sim unlocked" thing after you have updated? because in this link (reddit dot com) /galaxys5/comments/3qgvom/android_511_lollipop_g900aucu4coi5_firmware/ this guy provides the update file for 5.1.1 to install it from the SD via the recovery, but I haven't done it because I don't know if I will keep my "sim unlock" status... Hey guys!
I'm in Russia, have an unlocked G900A, I was on 5.0 OC4 and now I'm on 5.1.1. Just flashed ZIP-files through stock recovery. But after update it was factory reset, but it doesn't matter for me. And, I'm unlocked! It doesn't lock to AT&T again!
Just flash zip files from here
RENAME FILE TO UPDATE.ZIP AND PLACE IT TO EXTERNAL STORAGE!

Do you know if the same happens if you downgrade to KitKat (4.4.2 or 4.4.4) because I've found a tutorial to downgrade (mine is in 5.0) to get better battery life and root capabilities.
thanks in advance:good:
No, you can't downgrade anyway. I'm afraid, you can get a brick. So, I highly don't recommend you to try downgrade. Or wait for the guide, how-to downgrade.
I'm on 5.1.1 and I don't like it, because it works slower then 5.0. But I don't want to get a brick if I try to downgrade.

Using Flashfire to Flash new OTA update

Hi everyone,
Is it possible to use flashfire on a pingpong rooted S6 to update to the new OTA without tripping Knox? Or do I have to ODIN back and do it the old fashioned way?
Thanks.

been out of the loop, is it safe to flash newest dok2 baseband/bootloader?

Hey guys. I've been out of the loop. Is it safe to flash the DOK2 baseband/bootloader? Or should i just stay on COG2? Does it still have problems with root? You cant downgrade to 5.0.1 or 4.4.4 after flashing right ?

If you wish to stay on 5.0.1 or 4.4.4, then its not safe. Correct, you cannot downgrade. I tried going back to Darthstalker (5.0.1) and it bootlooped after going to DOK2 baseband/bootloader. I heard there is a way to downgrade the bootloader, but its not a very straight forward way
Plus, to add to that, there isn't a regular root method i do not believe. It's Systemless Root with means you don't have full root capabilities
Just upgrade baseband only like i did. Its fine then.

[help?] Updating from AOE2 to 6.0.1 PC2?

How can I upgrade from Android 5.0.2 AOE2?
I tried to search and couldn't find anything that made me confident enough.
It sounds like I would need to flash back to stock (am on custom ROM) and then flash the updates one at the time using Odin or adb. I'm not sure what update to start with and/or if I can do it in a way that maintains root access.
These are the only two threads I found but neither mention coming from AOE2 or custom ROMs.

I would start with the first link you have odin to oj7. If you are on at&t you can do updates on the network after that to get to marshmallow.
I just updated from rooted 5.02 OE2 all the way to 6.0.1. Yes, you have to flash back to stock and then you can update OTA to 5.1.1 then to 6.0.1. I used the odin files here to flash to stock.

//SM-G920A\\ Looking for Stock G920AUCS5DPJ1

Looking for the latest stock rom G920AUCS5DPJ1 released on October 26, 2016 by AT&T for security update and fixes.
Thanks for your help.
+1 to this request
I just got an update today, but it only took me to G920AUCS5DPI1 and no update is available. AT&T's support page says the latest version is G920AUCS5DPJ1. I'm bone stock, so I have no idea what the delay is...

I don't believe there's ever been a way to root MM at all on the S6.
If you really need root then you must go back to Lollipop.
Hi! How can we go back to lollipop? so easy as flash lollipop stock ATT version with odin?
PD: I did more reading and I realized that I may be stuck :....( Having this G920AUCS5DPJ1 S6 6.0.1 version I am unable to even flash TWRP. ... so I guess right now this phone is unrooteable and un TWRPable???
I confirm: once you get the phone on a newer version, you can't downgrade it. I tried to go from 6.0.1 to 5.1.1 flashing with ODIN. The ODIN process went well, but after the phone took the older load, it got stuck in the ANDROID screen
To get it back to life i had to flash again its original stock version at 6..0.1
