It might be Official because the leak version came with build number .131, but this is .295 so i think its official. First i thought the same as you!

I just tried! Error!
On my SXTX i have flashed stock 4.1.2, rooted, CWM. Entered to CWM, did wipes then started to flash this 295.zip and the flashing process goes well until they said: "permission corrections....failed... status 7"

u go to Flashtool\drivers then install file Flashtool-drivers => ok

it's a error of installing root, just flash a root pack and everything fine

I done this and no effect This screen is after install drivers. I can't open CWM

Sorry but i dont know what im doing wrong but its not working for me on my SXTX.
To solve error "status 7" (permission corrections) we need install root package and i did it but nothing happened!
I flashed a JB 4.3 295.ftf then, boot up the phone, then flashed via fastboot a kernel (JB 4.3) with CWM, entered to CWM and installed SU 1.93, bootup the phone, then entered to CWM again did all wipes (dalvik, data and part. cache) and flashed your Deodexed ROM, and i got again "status 7" error!
Whats wrong????

Flashed this from TWRP, booted, went through setup, updated all "default" apps from the app store, rebooted to recovery, installed SuperSu 2.68, rebooted, got root access, now restoring Titanium Backup for my apps.
Simple. (for once!)

Wondering what is the difference between MMB29X and MOB30D, considering both got release almost at the same time.

Given the choice, why would you ever choose the older build?

Damn, didn't see that the bootloader was updated and I generally never flash it. Anyway, I would like to report that the combination without the bootloader works just fine for now... Don't know if I should flash it now or wait for the next month's update.
EDIT: Flashed the new bootloader just now. Everything still fine! Didn't need to do anything else, recovery and root stayed.

I flashed the MMB29X build just the day before MOB30D came out. I was thinking whether to flash this or it's better to wait till next update comes.

I have used it for almost 4hrs now and not found any other bug than which are mentioned....BTW TO DISABLE DOUBLE TWIST AND DOUBLE CHOP, YOU CAN USE ACTIVITY LAUNCHER (an app available on ps). Anyway its a great rom ?

How is the battery?

i tried to flash it,first with the zip you provided,then after by replacing the boot.img
but both times it stay on boot animation screen for 30-40 mins.still not booted up.please help.

So here is what happened,
In order to change boot.img I did this:
1. Unzip ROM.zip
2. Paste boot.img in 1(overwrite)
4. Create zip with result
When I flashed, it says wrong zip format

Noob Question - Update Firmware Tutorial?

Hi.
I had a problem wit this rom [ROM][7.1.2_r29][OFFICIAL] AospExtended ROM V4.6 [OMS/DUI] the rom works perfect but i couldnt rotate screen.
I found the solution update from MM to NG firmware but...
I cant find where/how to update firmware, i have bootloader opened, i dont want to return miui, im happy with my actual rom.

The best option will be flashing miui 9 with fastboot using mi flash tool ...the flash twrp and then flash custom ROM ......all ROM works perfectly ....no such issues for me

....but if after flashing custom ROM ....it shows encrypted in security settings ....you will need format data (not wipe) ...from twrp ........which will wipe your internal storage.and then flash custom rom

If you face any network issues air rotation ....I will prefer you to flash miui 9 with flash all .....you will not face any issues the ....it's the best way ....

Oxygen OS Beta 25 (Android 8.0 Oreo) image without firmware, without troubles ;)

After browsing through the new Oreo threads, there were again a lot of users with issues related to new bootlaoder and firmware.
So to avoid that I tried installing the new Beta 25 without any firmware files only updating system and boot, and that seam to work just fine.
It was the same with back than fron android MM to N.
To install the image you need the new TWRP linked here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74154185&postcount=37
But its enough to boot the new TWRP with fastboot it does nto have to be flashed.

Anyone tried this? It's just simple install oreo twrp over my standard twrp, and then just install the cooked oreo zip??

as you haven't flashed Oreo Firmware is Fingerprint, Cellular Data, wifi etc working properly?

Yea I havn't noticed any issues till now, seams just fine.
