Anyone knows that is there any custom roms available for honor 5c that supports VoLTE?
It would be great if our device grabs any devs attention. It's a good device but sadly lacks development.
There are Meticulus' ROM, the latest build has VoLTE support but you have to be a sponsor to download them.

I am one of his sponsors. But the problem is before we can install meticulus rom we need to revert back to Emui 4, but the VoLTE update for our device came with Emui 5.
So is there any way we can install it over Emui 5?
No.
So the VoLTE feature of meticulus rom is of no use. Since VoLTE feature in not there in Emui 4 of honor 5c.
Why don't you just try, the feature is here in his ROMs.

Will VoLTE work in his roms? Since we didn't had VoLTE in emui 4.

If on EMUI 5 it works, then it should.

But his roms can't be installed in emui 5. We need to revert to emui 4, and reverting will disable the volte feature. And if it disabled then it won't work in his roms too. This what i am trying to say.
Listen, it's a different ROM. Meticulus enabled it in all his latest build.

Hello, Redmi 2 users

Android version: 6.0.1 based
Recommended gapps: arm pico 6.0 (you may need to remove some system apps to free up space)

Can anyone give screen shot of flyme 6 of redmi 2
i installed it with twrp 3.0 no issues while flashing
1. themes doesnt work. force closes
2. couldn,t make data work. couldnt add apn settings for jio. keyboard was acting weird. and connectivity app was force closing.
3. camera works (7mp) max
4. video recording works too.
5. tried calling with jio. didnt work for me.
i guess its still in the early stages. we should wait for a better build in the future.

Bro, Not only volte..
Also, We're not able to run 4G internet.
The preferred network type includes only Auto/3G/2G..
No 4G.. that is the reason, internet and voLTE isn't working.
And we'll not get stable release, as this is ported by third party meizu devs, and they always release beta builds.
Earlier, I flashed Flyme 5.
In that version, I wasn't able to boot.
Whenever, I tried to setup my language/country.. it reboots.
These flyme os builds aren't much usable.
They're just for experiencing FlymeOs

the rom is goood but volte and data are not working
Data and 4g working for me
I got data working but no VoLTE. Besides, I am unable to flash any GApps. I removed a lot of bloatware from the system partition and tried a GApps package with 38 MB size but that too is not installing. Guess we need a 10 or even maybe 5 MB GApps package for this ROM lol. Apart from that, the Theme app crashes (can't even change wallpaper) and the stock keyboard is not good at all after coming from Gboard.
As for the UX, I must say MIUI is a whole lot better. This ROM is cramped with all sorts of bloatware which even MIUI doesn't have. No wonder the size is 735 MB even without GApps. It is best to avoid this ROM. This ROM is only usable if you don't use a Google account. On the plus side, animations are quite good.

Better remove imei information from the screen shot.
I live in a market where Band12 and VoLTE are required to be able to reliably call\text. All the Nougat ROMs don't support VoLTE and I can't find any information on MM based custom roms.
Does Lineage 13 MM support VoLTE? Are there modified stock roms that support it? The LG Crapware is starting to annoy me.

I flashed the universal patch zip file and no modem at all. Not even bluetooth or wifi.
It's going to need some tweaking to get it on the G4 but it could be done.

I'm about to throw this at my phone to try it out. We'll see what happens. Going to test using SlimRoms 7.x for 811.
Edit: broke LTE. 3G, Bluetooth, Wifi, etc work still. This is an improvement. Unfortunately since this is my daily use device I cant do any more testing. Maybe I'll buy a 2nd H811 in the future.

the honor 9 lite have same hi6250 of p8 ite 2017 but with newer kernel
phh's 8.0 gsi works as a daily driver. check it out in the treble forum. i used the version a-only rooted with gapps. the overlay for adaptive brightness, night mode and ambient display works as well. cant install the ported huawei camera since /system is full. maybe i try a resize.
one thing to note: it took me several atempts of reflashing and factory resetting to get it working. working means no acore or phone fc every 2 secs during setup. after some attempts it just worked. no problem for 3 days so far.
pure aosp goodness without emui but with substratum on a 210€ phone yay.

So as I understand, the stock, clean oreo 8.0 could be flashed with the same method?
I do not like to experiment too much.
Just wanted to get rid of Emui.
Is there an img of stock on xda?

I have flashed with LineageOS to check, works good but I miss some functionality and want to go back to stock.
Can I just reset/wpie via bootloader and stock rom should be downloaded automatically ?

Hi!
Can I use Substratum without root?
No and it would not work completely because EMUI has his own engine. But what stops you from trying?
Substratum is working on android 8+ without root with Andromeda addon, but on stock EMUI it doesn't work at all. You could install RR ROM for Treble devices, it has built in substratum, and it works good, I have tried.
