P9 Firmware issues - Huawei P9 Questions & Answers

Hi all,
I'm afraid this is a plea for help!
My P9 (EVA-L09) was working fine with the factory image and i rooted it and it worked fine.
I then attempted to follow the debrand guide to get Android 7 and this worked OK except i was missing the EMUI apps (camera, clock etc). So i updated to another Android 7 image (B822?) at which point i was left with no keyboard.
I then tried to flash the old firmware back on and my phone wouldn't boot.
I followed all of the DC phoenix instructions and it still wouldn't boot so i then used DC phoenix to install the factory image and this worked.
From this point i was able to install B136 and then numerous other versions upto the Android 7 one again but no keyboard once again.
The strange thing is that at this point i can no longer lock or unlock the bootloader it says wrong key, and whenever i do a factory restore i don't get the 'out of box experience' where it asks you to connect to the wifi etc.
I just want i working up to date phone, preferably on Android 7 but if not that is no problem.
Would someone that knows a bit more about android be kind enough to teamveiwer on and help me please?
Thanks
Ben

Also, i have just tried to install the current firmware from the Huawei site and this also fails, sits at 5% installing update and goes nowhere...

Sorry, to correct myself the error when trying to unlock bootloader is "remote: command not allowed"

P9(EVA-L09)-Settings missing: Huawei ID, Update Phone

Hi guys,
I've bought an P9 and wanted to get rid of the booting screen with the resellers logo.
So I thought I'd be smart, unlocked the device, flashed TWRP 3.1.1-1-eva.img onto it. Got an SuperSu-file and tried to install it...
I never got to experience the rooted version. Got stuck in a bootloop, somehow got out of it. Logged in, saw an green SuperSu-app, opend it and it saidthe device has to be rooted to use the device, ergo i failed to root it. [Forgot some steps here] and I found myself in another bootloop. A friendly guy suggested to flash these 2 files
[Link-Removed]update.zip
[Link-Removed]update_data_full_hw_eu.zip
which I did with dload. After that, I was still in a bootloop, but with WipeCache I was able to get myself back into my phone [hooraay].
The happyness-phase was a short, because i soon found out, that it doesn't have an keyboard (only googleVoice, should be fun to type in a wifi-password). Huawei-ID tab is also missing (usually located below Accounts), Update Phone, which was between Advanced Settings and About Phone is also missing, and bluetooth doesn't seem to work. That's when I noticed that I'm on NRD90M test-keys build.
After reading some threads here i downloaded rollback from huawei (for west-europe). Now I'm on C900B300 but all settings still missing.
Now I'm here crying for help.
Any suggestions? Please?
Ryan

do you mean, that i have to put the bootlogo back into it?
could be a meanie to do, because it's a swiss brand and I don't think that there's a version here for me to use.
//or do an OEM-Flash, which worked

Soft Bricked P9 L09 C150

UPDATE 2: Some things can not be fixed without proper tool. All i am left is to send it to service.
Which i did. Talked with a guy, explained and he told me he need to see it and test it with some tools. If can be fixed COOL if not i will sell it for parts and **** myself. Apperently some things need to be left to proffesionals.
PS. Will never get Huawei again
UPDATE: After trial and error i have TWRP instaled. Problem is i can't flash any rom because i got failed to mount /cust ,/vendor/ product (invalind argument) error. Also can't find stock flash rom for L09C150
Hello, i have problem with my phone, and this is 2nd night i spend working on it. Would appreciate any help!
Phone before trying to do anything: L09C150B367, Phone is from Hungary on Telekom (Pink T logo).
Tried to follow debranding guide (https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/how-to/guide-debranding-to-c432-updating-to-t3551523) because i am sick of not having updated and unlocked global version. It's been long since i did anything with android and root so i tried and found guides on XDA.
Steps i did: found code for bootloaded, unlocked bootloader with SRK tool and instaled TWRP. Downloaded C432 and placed to SD. Trying to force update with Vol+,-, and power combo but update stop after 5% and say invalid software version. Somewhere i read that root is needed. Tried to root with SRK (Couple of times and different guides), not working for some reason. Phone is still unlocked with TWRP. Read somewhere (it was 3/4 am this night) that full wipe might solve it (note, i could boot into old OS). Did full wipe on TWRP and voila, not working. Can't even log on because no OS detected. Tried to find stock firmware to flash from SD card, no luck. All links i found either don't work or my recovery have ,,not correct version" error.
Now i have unlocked bootloader, custom TWRP recovery and no OS..essencially highteck-flashy brick.
What i want: Stock unbranded EU firmware.
Ps. Only phone, i refuse to burn 250e
If you are kind and free and KNOW how to do this, you can contact me via Discord and talk me trought this!

[Bricked P9 Plus] - VIE-L29 Possible soft brick, please advise

Most of the time I am the guy helping people out. This time I think I did something pretty dumb.
I have an old "beater" P9 plus that I was using as a casual gaming device. Most of the apps I was using were beginning to no longer be supported because for some reason the device NEVER updated. Any time I check for a possible update the phone stated it was up to date. After much searching I discovered that this device SHOULD have updated quite a few times.
I used firmware finder to find a supported update and the first one went somewhat unexpected. The firmware was downloaded and put in the correct folders but kept failing after 5%. I decided that the next thing to do was to find a cool rom and go through the process of unlocking and installing TWRP. I usually try to install the latest TWRP. This turned out not working at all so I went for an older version and it booted into TWRP, however it found the update and installed it!
I kind of wanted to keep it stock, but updated stock so I went for a bigger upgrade to Android 7 firmware. This only worked partially and (stupid and I know better) forgot to do a backup. I did not know that TWRP was gone and root was gone. The battery died and I rebooted like normal and there was a much improved interface. However, a good bit of stuff stopped working like bluetooth and the boot screen was in red stating the device can't be verified and ended up in something like a NOR905 test keys build. I did a backup, selected a downgrade package that was checked and "updated" to the downgraded firmware through Project Menu. It successfully stated it was 100% complete.
Now it is stuck on the boot screen for an unlocked device.
What works (or is possibly a good thing):
The hardware keys can get me to the bootloader (fastboot)
ADB recognizes the device is in fastboot
Phone is Unlocked
FRP is unlock
What doesn't work:
Everything else. All I have is fastboot and an unlocked bootloader. I can try to flash recovery but that never boots, it just stays suck on the recovery boot screen. The system will not boot at all.
UPDATE:
I broke down and spent the money to use the DC-Phoenix software to unbrick the phone. Several of the options for firmware did NOT work. The one file set that did work was to use this firmware:
VIE-L29_C900B101_Firmware_countryValue_Nonspecific_Android_6.0_EMUI4.1
Then use this as the customization:
update_data_C900B101_hw_default
The phone originally started out as VIE-L29C636B130. This changed it to VIE-L29C900B101 and is on EMUI 4.1 android version 6.
Now the fun part is going to see if I can find a version of TWRP that will work and see if I can root it. Maybe even try a custom ROM. We'll see though. The device is just an old beater for fun. But at least, she's not broken anymore. Guess I'll grab a beer and celebrate my "unbricked" device.

Phone without OS, bricked

Hi everyone, I tried looking all over the internet for my problem and can't see to find any solution.
The thing is, and I'm going to explain from the beginning. Several month's ago I upgraded mi p9 from android 7 to android 8 via the guide that's here on XDA, everything worked out just fine. But a couple of weeks ago I was gonna restore my phone to stock, so that that I can use it as "new" as my second phone because I bought another one. The thing is, that I think I make a factory reset the wrong way, because I did it from TWRP instead in the options menu. And since then the phone just won't work. I tried flashing tru TWRP LineaneOS but it just get bootloop in the animation and then restart. I tried installing stock Oreo and stock Nougat via the dload process and it just give me error's or it doesn't even pass 5% installation and then gives errors. I tried flashing rom via fastboot mode with Hwota, ADBToolkit, and others method that I found and nothing, anything seens to work. And I really want to restore the phone so that I can use as my second phone (for work).
If anybody can help I would gladly appreciated. If I can have stock Oreo again that's fine, if I can have another rom with Oreo that would be nice too, and if the only option is to have stock nougat again, that wouldn't be a problem either. I just want my phone back xD
Thanks!

My friend you're a life saver, I didn't find that B550 you said, but I flash B520 i think, and at first I tought it didn't work because it got stuck on huawei logo, after some time, and after doing something on erecovery that I don't know what I did because it was in chinese, the phone finally boot just fine.
So once again, thanks!

Huawei 20 mate lite soft bricked

Hi , soft bricked my Huawei Mate 20 lite. Model is SNE-LX1 HW/EU. Did a firmware upgrade to frp unlock Since then get black screen with yellow text saying a new OS has been installed and device reboots in recovery. Reinstalled already different firmware versions via sload SD card upgrade + use fastboot to unlock FRP code. Fastboot unlock command completes successfully and device does automatically a low level format to then come back to "different os installed message. Anyone advice ?
Hi phitilip, I can't help you on the bricked part (yet). I assume you tried to use Huawei Hisuite software to restore the original firmware so you could possible start over?
I recently got my Mate 20 Lite and haven't messed with it too much (yet!). I do have a question for you though. How did you get the bootloader unlocked? The only way I have found is to pay some random person/company for an unlock code. Trying to avoid that. By the way, I'm in the USA and also on SNE-LX1 with a 'global' designation.

Hi , the unlock code I purchased was for the FRP unlock because I was told would solve my problem and although the code is correct and allows to do a factory reset it will not solve the "you installed a new software ..." message. When looking online I found that I probably installed the wrong region code firmware but tried everything and cannot get the phone to boot normally. Any advise would be very appreciated.
Can you get to recovery or download?
I'm much more familiar with Samsung devices so my frame of reference is there. How did you flash the new rom? What tool? Where did you get the rom from?
Since you can reset to factory, but that still gives you the error, the only way I can think of so far, with the very little experience I have with Huawei devices, is to find two things if you can. First try to find a 3rd party recovery like TWRP or CWM or possibly use the tool you used to flash the ROM. Flash that if possible to the recovery partition. Then find the original factory firmware for your device and region, even if you have to go beck to Android 9. Then from recovery, or the tool you used to flash new rom, flash that. I'll do some research and see if I can find anything you haven't. From my limited searching for my own Mate 20 Lite, there doesn't seem to be much out there. What's your objective in all of this? Are you just looking to root? Did Hisuite play any role in this? The good news is I have the exact same device as you so I can try some things while it's not bricked
