Hi everyone,
I see the new TWRP has been released:

There are other Huawei devices compatible with TWRP, do you know if we have an available version for p9 plus device? The main problem with existing version is that we cannot mount /data and other partitions, therefore, I cannot install the 2nd file ( update_data_full_hw_la.zip ) and many apps are missing from the original ROM.
I just heard my version is from El Salvador and there are no ROMs for VIE-L29C605B354. This version does not have bluetooth working.
Any help is welcome!

I just tried the new TWRP v3.1.0 on my MM build on the P9+ (VIE-L29C636B202). The new TWRP is still unable to mount /data or recognize he P9+ internal storage; only the external SD is visible, the same experience with Nougat. I reverted to TWRP 3.0.2, which works fine with Android 6.x. Has anyone tried the new TWRP with any Nougat build on the P9+?

Twrp mount all, data....etc without erase data. Best ! Tested by me ! Unfortunately i cannot make root because supersu binaries is not compatible yet with emui 5.
I have rooted my VIE-L29, that's easy to do. On your URL, which file contains the TWRP? The one named twrp.img does not seem to mount data partition.

Hello, I have root with SuperSu running on my P9+.
Just use the P9 recovery from this link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/twrp-t3565703
and for root flash the SuperSU zip from here (post #40): https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/twrp-t3565703/page4

I have installed TWRP 3.1.0-0, but when I try to flash "twrp_full_root_superSU_systemless.zip", I got "Invalid zip file format!" error. I have downloaded it twice. It may be a download error? Another download site? Thanks

Haven't tried exposed yet. But yes, root and TWRP are working perfectly on nougat. Just follow the guides exactly

I unlocked the bootloader and installed twrp and SU as your instructions but there's a question , is ti normal to can not lock Frp again as shown in attached picture??

Plz unlock bootloader first by grabbing unlock code. Later u can do amazing things out on xda
Hi,
I am trying to install twrp recovery on my Honor 5C using fastboot method. The Bootloader was successfully unlocked a couple of weeks back. Today got the twrp from the official site. The twrp flashing process is successful every time without any errors but when I reboot to recovery I am getting the stock recovery and not twrp.
Tried all three versions available on the official twrp website:
twrp-3.0.2-0-nemo.img
twrp-3.1.0-0-nemo.img
twrp-3.1.1-0-nemo.img
Tried 3-4 times with the same result. Phone's running on Nougat.
Honor 5C (India)
Stock ROM: NEM-L22C675B330
Android Version: Nougat
Any suggestions or ideas would be helpful.

Hi, for nougat on honor 5c you need a special openkirin version of twrp. Also, are you sure that you're using the right keys in the right way? I had a lot of trouble because I got that wrong.

The openkirin recovery is in the file depot on the roms page.

I had no idea about the openkirin version until now. Thanks.
And yes, I am using the right key combinations to get to the recovery because I'm able to boot into Stock Recovery.
Your help is appreciated. Will go check out the openkirin twrp.
There's an e-recovery that looks similar and boots via a similar key combination but I'm sure you're right.

Wow! I flashed the openkirin twrp and it went successfully. I'm able to boot to twrp recovery now.
And yes, the e-recovery is where I was ending up previously when I tried to flash the normal twrp. It was simply not working. After installing the openkirin version the stock e-recovery is now replaced by twrp. Both use the same key combinations.

Check there are 2 roms given in 5C repository thread. Try anyone of them.
I flashed arsenik rom and it was smooth.

I've seen the roms but I was wondering if there are any more for the p9 lite which aren't on honor 5c. Also do I need to change anything to be able to use them?

No change. Just flash it. Have flashed arsenik rom and worked perfectly fine.
Don't forget to have backup backup

Nope it won't. Nothing will change apart from new rom but you wont get updater in setting as you will get manual update from rom version

There is one.
Just check the honor 5C repository, in my signature, and grab one from that thread.

Restore the stock ROM, do a factory reset, then go into fastboot and run "fastboot relock xxxxxxxxxxxx".
NO way to receive unlock code from EU country
Hi, guys the is some big changes on EMUI site. When you try to register there are missing all EU countries and in phone number prefixes too ! So this mean there is no fu.. way to receive unlock code. Go guys find a real hack to unlock our phones!
You can still get the code using DC-Unlocker, it just costs you 4 euros to get it.. still, better than not at all.

And I don't think there is any other methode than that one
