Can it be done? Is it even possible?
Really? We want a normal bootable custom ROM, but not Nougat. At least we need to first run Cyanogen Mod 12.0
@lambdadroid just made LineageOS 14.1 (android 7.1.2) for our device, it is glitchy tho

Hi!
So I tried the unofficial Resurrection Remix a couple of weeks ago and it was pretty neat, until the phone started lagging, so I reverted to OOS (Didn't go smoothly, managed to brick the phone).
How is the official RR? Is it good enough for a stable driver & how is it with TWRP nowdays? My issue was that I locked myself out of the encrypted drive when wiping to flash back to OOS and stuff, all hell broke.
Thanks!
No, every CM14.1 based ROM (including RR and Lineage) is unstable and buggy.

I agree, OOS 4.0 is way more stable for now and I can live without all the little tweaks brought by custom roms. If you really want to flash one, in my opinion, Tuga is the best one
i've been using the unofficial resurrection remix with oms and it is far from unstable and buggy. I much prefer it to the stock rom. Even using govtuner, sound mods etc and its been running sweet.
I don't have any problem with RR official.. It's smooth and using it from 23 dec
So I downgraded to 3.5.3 marshmallow 6.01, because of xposed. I am currently using Sultans CM 13 rom i believe, and I do like it. I was wondering if there are any better roms? Main things Im looking for is good battery life, dash charging and customization. I got Resurrection remix working before but now it fails when I try installing it. I forgot which version I used, If someone can tell me one that supports oxygen os 3.5.3 that would be awesome.
Thanks for any help c:
That is, is that firmware package suitable for Android v7.1.2 or is it for v8.x?
No. Lineage 14.1 is Android 7.1 and OOS 5.0 is Android 8.

If the ROM is built to support on 5.0 FW, I'd thinl that all would go well.
Hello! It may sound silly but can anyone please confirm whether official "twrp 3.2" supports nougat roms like RR official final build, vortex os 3.6 etc?
Thanx in advance.
it should, as I have installed oreo blu spark recovery to install nougat ROM like sultan 14.1. So, it should support.
I don't think it "should" support. It has to support all Android versions that are flashed. And obviously it does.
Thanx guys! Now I can safely flash without risking(fear/hassle)!
I havent tested new 3.2.1-0 yet
Last time i used 3.2.0-0, magisk cant be installed
It says completed but no root access at all
So i reverted to 3.1.1-0 again and it works like a charm
i was browsing through XDA and discovered we got Pie Builds!! after looking into the threads for the 3 roms as of 10/2/18, i read about a lot of people having a multitude of problems with them, from them not booting to fingerprint and encryption problems.
so, are these builds really buggy? should i stick with my oreo rom? whats up with these pie roms?
--edit--
also, for liquidremix, would i install the oreo or the nougat FW base?? whats the difference and does it really matter which version i do?
you just wait until all the bugs are fixed. or you can install it and support the developer by reporting the bugs you face.
everything works fine here, you have to see the version of your bootloader version c2.12 works everything standard, otherwise upgrade your stock rom to the latest oreo to update your bootloader or you can only install rom based on nougat
I'm not on a stock rom, I actually use havocOS I haven't used stock for a while now.. but when it was stock it was 7.1 nougat not Oreo, did Sanders xt1806 finally get the Oreo update?
