[Q] Swype Storage

Does anyone know where swype vocabulary is stored? cause i have added ALOT of words into my swype dictionary and it would be a waste if it all got erased when updating a new firmware.
Moreover, can anybody show how one can put the stored swype vocab into the new flashed firmware?
THANKS IN ADVANCE!
I'm pretty sure that if you use Titanium Backup to back up your Swype, it will back up the dictionary and so on, as Titanium backs up the app data along with the app itself.
are you sure??? if thats the case then thanks a lot!

[Q] app tapntap ui on tnt lite 3.1

Hi guys
I m new on android but I like my gtablet better than the Ipad.
I don't like the tapntap ui but I like all the apps.
I tried to install app from tapntap ui on tnt lite but I failed.
I success for ( all ok) :
weather, clock, to do list.
I failed for :
calendar : it's working but when I restart the tablet, after I have the old calendar. (tnt)
Email: not working
news, grocery list : not working :/
if someone can help me for these apps ?
I installed the apps by the ifilemanager with the apk. ( system/app) and I copy/ past the framework (tapntap).
Thank you guys
sorry for my bad english
You could try installing the ViewSonic 3389 update and the v2 performance pack. That would give you the option of switching between the stock TnT and a standard android look. You would have all the apps you want and still have the Market. Install Clockwork recovery and make a backup first so if you don't like it you can switch back. You have to wipe data/cache but if you backup your apps/data with titanium backup it only takes a few minutes to reinstall.

thank you very much.
I'm thinking also to multiboot between two roms installed on the sdcard.
Is it possible ?
thanks
Not that I've seen but with clockwork recovery installed you could switch between several roms in a matter of minutes by setting up each rom the way you want and then backing it up. You could then switch between backups without having to completely reinstall everything

[Q] About Customizing Stock ROM

Hello. I am using Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000, N7000ZSLR1, Android 4.1.2 Hong Kong version. There are something I am not quite satisfied with the ROM, I have rooted my device with Chinese one key root app so I wonder if there are some ways to customize the ROM.
1. The first thing is Notification screen. In this Android 4.1.2, when you pull it down, the shortcuts at the top will first display the tiles in picture 1, then it will automatically swipe to picture 2:
Picture 1:
Picture 2:
Is there any method that can modify / remove tiles at the top? Or at least make it like picture 2 in default when I pull down, no swiping.
2. In this ROM, the Task Manager no longer display in app drawer like Android 2.3.6, instead I need to long press Home button to go to "Recent App" screen and tap the pie chart icon at the lower left corner to open Task Manager. I'm curious, the system app is in \system\app, and it IS an .apk. So I wonder if I can at least make a shortcut from it and add to "Home Screen", I always need to use it and I don't want to download third party app for this shortcut.
Recent Apps screen:
View in ES File Explorer:
3. The default Launcher in the stock ROM is TouchWizHome, and by default there are no indication when you tap an icon to open the app. So I wonder if I can add some "effect" to notify me when I open an app, like dim the icon or glow at the edge of icon.
4. If you are a Titanium Backup user, please tell me that should I wipe system apps' data first before uninstall it. Because it always gives me a feeling of "unclean" if I don't wipe the data before uninstall it. I always uninstall system app to keep my phone slimmer and faster.
Thank you in advance.
first, to change anything with the user interface aka UI your rom must be deodexed, so you need to create a deodexed rom from this rom or look for it in a chinease android forum (defnitely you will find it).
once your rom is deodexed, you can flash one of AryaMod or Sweet rom mods to change the interface, i think most of them will work because of the same framework but make a full backup because they might not work.
if you only need to change the order of quick toggles in the notification panel i think you can do it from settings >> display
or you can make your own mods following one of the awesome guides in this forum but that will take you time and you may face bootloops

How about question 2 and 4?
2/ i think there is a resizable widget of the task manager, all you have to do is place it in your home screen and when you click on it it will open the task manager. i have no idea about how to make the task manager appear in the app drawer but sure there is a way to do it.
4/ yes i always use titanium backup to backup and restore my non-cloud-based apps but not from and to different android version. never restore for example apps that were backed up on jellybean to kitkat or any other android version cuz this will cause force-close and other problems. whenever you are going to install new rom just wipe /preload and /system (/data partition will be wiped automatically when you make wipe data - factory reset) this way you will leave no trace of old system apps data, config, cache or anything.
don't uninstall system apps just freeze them using titanium backup or directly from app settings if you are on ics or above. if you removed an important system app like google contact sync that you may think not important you may get force-close, unmounted storage, ui crash all the time and similar problems.
Hope i helped you

2/ ...Yes you think, but there is not, if it has then I'll place it at home screen from the start... I just want to know how to make that system app have a shortcut icon...
4/ But won't uninstall create more space for my system? I mean frezzing them will still occupy some space right?

It is just a safety procedure. Freeze the app and use your phone for a few days. If nothing funny happens go ahead and uninstall it to reclaim the space.
If you are absolutely sure the particular app you want to uninstall will not be needed anymore just uninstall it without going thru the freeze time.

Keyboard messup

I tried to uninstall chinese keyboard but after that my keyboard just crashes when i try to type something, I restored chinese keyboard but when i switch to international one xperia keyboard app just crashes, I have root so I replaced sys apps that i thpught that have something with keyboard (i copyied sys apps before i started to remove unnessery apps), I dont have recovery so flashing something is out, is there any way to fix it beside repairing rom via companion?

Google keyboard issues. Latinimegoogle folder missing.

Hello everyone.
Lately, I wanted to make some space on my phone, because I`ve trouble`s with newest Xposed install and activate . So I deleted all this unnecessary keyboards like Chinese, Japanese, Korean... etc. Unfortunately I also deleted main keyboard which is Latin Google keyboard. After reboot I can`t unlock my phone, because keybord didn`t show. That wasn`t a big problem, because I got OTG usb cable. So I connected simple keyboard through OTG cable, and type password to unlock my N6. Strange is that google keyboard after log in shows (unlocking sim lock, in textra, in gmail...). But on unlocking (decrypting) phone isn`t showing up. Google Play show me Google keyboard installed, but it doesn`t work fine.
I`ve tried many things to repair it, including reinstalling Google keyboard in Google Play. Still nothing... I read somewhere that in system/app there should be Latinimegoogle folder, but I haven`t got it. If i could take from somewhere this Latinimegoogle folder with files, and copy it to my N6 system/app, I think it could solve the problem. Can someone upload this folder... and also another two files: libjni_keyboarddecoder.so and libjni_latinimegoogle.so on system/lib?
Or maybe is there any other options to repair google keyboard?
I`ve got unlocked, rooted N6, on stock rom.
Thank`s for any advice`s.
Regards!

Thanks for quick response.
Is it safe? I mean, Will I loose any of my data, or my applications and system settings? I don`t want to play with all this settings in all app`s again. It`s quiet time consuming...

It is a slimmed down prerooted stock rom.
When you have recent stock now and Twrp-recovery installed you can download the rom (zip file) to the internal memory. My method is:
- Reboot Twrp-recovery ;
- Wipe system and caches (not data);
- Still TWRP: Install the downloaded zip;
Reboot - data kept - root access.
When you have a different custom rom / kernel a complete reinstall is needed (factory reset).

What about my applications settings? Will the stay? Or should I set them from new?
Yes`, I`ve got stock rom, there shouldn`t be any problems, as I see. Glad to hear that.
Thank you very much for help. Again

If you have the recent stock rom and you're rooted and Twrp-recovery is installed. You're data will be untouched.
But......the rom of Danvdh is slimmed down; you could miss some Google bloat. In that case you need to reinstall the missing G-apps from the Play store.
