I'm loogin for info about LCD replacemente for Xiaomi Mi5,
I know for sure that all those LCD sold on Aliexpress around 20-30$ they have no Gorilla Glass 4 but what I'm trying to understand is if the LCD panel is the same JDI or LGD mounted on the Mi5.
If you replaced the whole screen with one of those found on Aliexpress you can easily check from the terminal running the command

AFAIK none of those on Aliexpress are OEM. A manufacturer isn't required to sell replacement parts directly to customers, and as such they don't. There are a few sites that are authorised resellers that do stock OEM replacements, but they are around $80 per screen.

Then you are best off trying to contact a service centre close to you (that would be India in your case) and seeing if there are import options.
If you are really stuck, and only want an OEM screen, the only other possibility I can think of is maybe asking in one of the threads if someone can purchase it and mail it to you. That would be a massive leap of faith, though.
Edit: I e-mailed the local Xiaomi service centre in my country to see if they would sell the displays separately. I'll let you know if it's possible, that way you'd know what your options are.

I just got this phone as a gift a month and a half ago, and somehow, just somehow the screen got cracked in my pocket. Everything still works fine, phone works great as always, but the screen is all messed up.
I went to a local Telus store, and they said they don't do repairs on physical damage which is stupid IMO. And I think the warranty my brother paid for might be up, he's not sure. And even so, I'm almost positive they'll say the warranty doesn't cover physical damage. The guy said my only hope would be to look for a 3rd party company online that can do repairs.
I tried looking around for a Screen/Digitizer Repair Kit for telus online, but they only had some for the sprint model of the phone. I know they're the same, but the screen shapes are clearly different.

Replacement LCD
Hi. Have a look on ebay. I would recommend you buy a complete LCD and digitiser pre-assembled in one unit... These typically cost around £35 UK pounds when bought from sellers in Hong Kong. You will need a set of jewellers screw drivers (mini torx drivers), and a set of tweezers. Also, would recommend downloading a Service Manual for the Diamond if you have never taken one apart before (you can find this with Google). You need to be very careful though, because there are two small black coaxial cables inside the device that carry the GPS, bluetooth/wifi signals from the upper antenna board to the lower motherboard. These are very easily damaged and it is difficult to locate replacements. I've changed a few LCDs in the past and it is relatively easy if you are careful and methodic about taking the device apart. If you are unsure, I would recommend finding a third party replacement service on the internet to do it for you....

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this post but I saw nothing similar anywhere else and I figured it was an "Accessory" Anyway my question is...I recently dropped my LG Thrill and cracked the screen or glass park which would be the LCD right? Fact is I'm a noob when it comes to new phones and don't exactly know every part of them specially when it comes to touch screen as this is my first one. I looked online specially ebay and I am confused as to what I am suppose to be looking for exactly. Some say "Digitizer" and some say "LCD display screen" a some say "Touch Glass Lens Screen Digitizer" Basically I just want to replace the cracked glass part which would be the screen? LCD? Everything else works as far as the touchscreen part its just the glass thats cracked. Any clarification and help would be great..Thank you!

If you still can see the boot screen everytime you boot up the phone than I think you need a Digitizer or the touch screen. This part is seperated from the lcd which show us the pictures.
I had changed my touch screen once before, and my "Digitizer" is ~ $40:

I am a Google Nexus 7 user, who accidently dropped the gadget and now the screen is broken. I can see the function inside working all well, no discolouration or tilt or anything else, but the touch is not working anymore. Anyone can suggest a fix ? Because I got it imported in India, so the warranty probably is not applicable in India, besides I don't think hardware damage is covered under warranty.
Any help would be appreciated.
I already miss this amazing device, an ebook reader, a gaming console, a perfect friend.

I do have a screen guard and a small cover for the tablet. But obviously when it fell, nothing could save it from cracking
Guys i already own a Nexus 6 but i am sad about a 'defected screen issue' black bar appears on the screen on darkish grey backgrounds , i really love this phone alot and im thinking of ordering another one to get rid of this screen issue..
so i want to know what is the best place to buy it ? i order them online cause we dont have Nexus phones where i live (middle east).
i had mine (32gig edition) purchased off amazon for 349, 400$ in total with shipping.
here is the picture of the actual problem, would you guys suggest me to keep it ..? but its difficult for me to deal with , to be limited to white and pitch black themes only really kills it for me :/ (cause on white and pitch black, i dont notice the bar at all)

( To all those that use the CM/Layer theme engines , could you please try using a grey theme and closely focus your eyes on the screen and look if you can see some darkish gradient patches?! ) Appreciated. going abit too much OCD on this problem of mine, sorry for the hassle guys !

I've never priced it but do you have phone repair shops there? probably cheaper than a replacement phone. If not Amazon is fine just make sure it's from a reputable seller with good feedback.

well we do have phone repair shops here, but i dont know if they would be able to fix it, i am afraid they would completely destroy the screen xD but i dunno, i will ask around i guess.. we do have some pros. but im not sure if they can fix this kind of issue.

Unfortunately my phone dropped and the back glass cover and primary camera glass are shattered.
I can change it by myself (from years i can repair my phones without sending it and wait days and days) but now i cannot find any replacement parts on the net.

You sadly will need to go through samsung or see if you can still add protection plan to carrier and then do claim few days after since you damaged it so early into launch. All the parts are going into devices still and nobody is parting out phones yet. Cant even get replacement sim trays etc from china yet.

Thank you so much for the reply. The only thing to do now is turn off the phone, turn on my note20u, and using it until in my supplier sites show on stock the replacement

ItsTek on Amazon store I have found to be very good before with genuine Samsung parts. Bought two S20 and S20 Ultra rear glass from them before. I think you'll struggle for parts though on the S21 until at least a few more months.
