Hello everyone, here is the latest G900AUCS4DQD1 full Odin update. With this, you may update from ANY version you currently have such as 4.4.4, 5.0, 5.1.1, or 6.0.1. Simply flash all 4 files after you extract using Odin and you will be on the latest and newest update. This WILL wipe your phone so make sure you backup your phone.
G900AUCS4DQD1 (6.0.1) - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=529152257862725335
If for any reason you wish to downgrade, you can safely flash any of the following full Odin firmware's without any issue. Phone will hang after flashing on startup at AT&T logo. Simply boot into recovery and perform factory wipe/reset and it will boot up fine after that. After wiping data/resetting phone, it will look like it got stuck again on AT&T logo but give it a few minutes and it will eventually pass this time.
G900AUCS4DQC1 (6.0.1) - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=745425885120723808
G900AUCS4DPH4 (6.0.1) - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=312968873555011029
G900AUCS4CPA6 (5.1.1) - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24723757092307204
G900AUCU4COI5 (5.1.1) - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24438995911970945
G900AUCU4BOF3 (5.0) - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=529152257862696776
Thank you again for the files, appreciated!
So, what am I doing incorrectly?
Used S5 900A on OI5
Downloaded the full Odin QC1 file.
flashed with Odin 3.11
No error messages, flashed all 4 files.
Got immediately dumped to recovery after an error screen saying the phone couldn't access knox.
Reboot, and the phone shows stuck on 5.1.1, with a baseband of QC1. It appears to be still the 5.1.1 software/ui.
tried a factory reset from recovery, no joy.
Currently downloading QD1 Odin file, I will report back.
edit: after a second full flash of all 4 files, it worked. wierd. Now running QC1. will updated to QD1 via odin shortly.
disregard this post in it's entirety. :silly:
and the QD1 Odin package flashed perfectly first time!
awesome work. thanks.
I just downloaded the 2.1Gb QD1 file, and the CRC check on the AP tar file says failed. Should I go ahead and flash my phone, is there any risk?
Downloaded the QD1 update without problems...now I wonder, how necessary is it ? since the phone is working fine.

That's funny, I've been thinking the same thing. I will admit battery life is really good as well, but I'm thinking the new battery and the factory data reset played a role as well. Haha...

Installed flawlessly, I guess it's all about security that can't be seen nor noticed.
Many thanks to sharing.
Worked great! Dug the old s5 out of the bin, put this on, worked like a charm, thanks!
Trying to download but getting "failed network error" for every mirror link.
Edit: Nevermind. Found the thread that allowed me to root it from OF3 which I didn't know was possible. Went that route instead.
Can I use this file and method to update from my Galaxy S5 G900A running 4.4.2? My device in not rooted and the bootloader is locked. It is in it's original factory state.
No more update?
QE1 ?
It seems that Samsung will not be providing any further updates, so my question is, will AT&T release Noughat for Samsung Galaxy 5 G900A or is that pipe dream at this point? I didn't want to create a new thread for just this question.
Does this Update maintain root?
Thank you very much for this. After trying to root my device and failing, I couldn't get it back to normal. Hours of trying later and nothing worked, not even custom ROMs. I gave up and decided to go nuclear but still couldn't get it to work. Finally I found this, and it worked. Saved my bacon.
Guys,
I was on Android 4.4.2 which was the way the phone came. I jumped from 4.4.2 straight to this update, and installed it via Odin. No issues with the update, everything works fine.
However, There is a lot of free space on the ROM "missing", and I don't know where it is and how I can release it.
The phone is a 16gB model. What is available is 11.4 gB (the remaining probably being the firmware and OS), but of that 11.4gB, I only have about 7.5 gB to use. What gives? Is it because Odin made some kind of backup on the ROM itself? I really really would appreciate some information on this.
Thanks,
Mir
Oldies Gratitude...
Hi, I just thought you might like to know that thanks to your post and clear instructions (i.e. not assuming the reader has an encyclopedic knowledge of the S5...) I have been able to update my AT&T S5, here in the UK from Android 5 to marshmallow with everything going very smoothly. The reason I thought to write this little note is because I was born in 1947, which makes me 70 years old, and when I was growing up, the idea of a mobile phone was science fiction, so if I can do it...!
So Thank you again for sharing your expertise....
Plz upload new link with mediafire or any other, this link giving error and give message error binary md5...
waiting....

Ashiq Noor.

Hi.
I'm just wondering if anybody can help me please?
I have a UK Huawei P9 EVA-L09 with Marshmallow currently on it (B166) build I think. It is unlocked and has TWRP 3.0.2.0 Recovery installed on it.
I would like to upgrade to Nougat 7.0 and EMUI 5.0, but most of my attempts have failed and I have had to use the rollback method to get back to Marshmallow.
I have tried to do it by flashing an Update.zip and subsequent EU_Apps package.zip through TWRP to no avail.
I have also tried the 'Dload' folder method, also to no avail. The closest I've gotten is to build no B378, but it shows up as NRD90M Test-Keys on the Build No in the phone settings instead and all apps such as camera, NFC, Bluetooth are missing / not working etc. Trying to then flash the EU_Apps package through 'Dload' method doesn't alleviate the problem of missing apps.
Does anybody have any tips for what I could try to get it onto a working Nougat build with apps please?
Also, if anybody has any links to any relevant firmware etc, then that would be very helpful too.
I'm pulling my hair our trying to get this to work. Surely it's can't be that hard can it??
Many thanks, Bill.
Is your phone branded? For a particular UK network I mean? And if so are you flashing ROMs for that network?
I don't know if that's the problem but I was on Vodafone UK B137 (which is Marshmallow) and flashed the 2 update zips for a Vodafone Nougat ROM thru TWRP and it was successful. I then flashed an updated zip using the "dload method" and that was successful too.
When you say you flashed the zips in TWRP "to no avail", what exactly was the end result?
Also might help if you give the full version of your starting ROM, and what zips you were trying to flash, ie full names and sources.
I'm kinda new to this device forum but seems like people get varying results with different flashing methods, for no particular reason either!
Peace.

Hi. Thanks for your reply.
When I tried to flash .Zips through TWRP it kept coming up with errors and didn't flash them (something about being umnable to mount /System).
I was on EE UK, but found a method yesterday for debranding my phone and setting it to C432. I also managed to successfully flash C432B182 firmware on it.
I have since attempted to flash Nougat B360 using the 'Dload' method and now my phone keeps asking me to enter my password to decrypt storage. Multiple attempts to reset my phone and wipe cache partitian don't seem to be working. Do you have any idea how I can get around this?
It's so hard and it's so annoying how other people seem to be getting it right and mine is proving to be a swine. Makes me want to get rid of it to be honest and get something easier.
Thanks again, Bill.
I'm concerned that this may be bricked right now. No amount of using eRecovery to reset the phone will stop it from going onto the dreaded 'enter password to decrypt storage' screen! I will see if I can re flash it using Fastboot, but I'm a bit concerned right now...
I have an O2 Branded one. I'm too chicken to mess with it in case I brick it!
Just waiting for the official UK O2 OTA update to arrive &

Probably advisable unless you absolutely know what you're doing and don't mind taking the risk. I'm a bit annoyed with Huawei and my carrier, they are always so slow with providing updates and Hmui 5.0 is only what Hmui 4.0 should have been in the first place. I'm done with these manufacturer's stupid over bloated overlays and will be going to an official Google phone in future!
If you can get it into fastboot mode, flash TWRP, then you should be able to progress from there, hopefully by at least formatting data to get rid of the encryption! Sounds like.a royal pita tho to be honest.
When I flashed to Nougat from MM using TWRP I got a bunch of error messages too, but it (eventually) booted up ok....

Hi again all.
Success! I finally managed to crack it.
I downloaded MM Firmware version C432B136 and used Huawei Extractor to extract the Boot.img, Recovery.img and System.img files and was able to boot into Fastboot mode fortunately. I used a Command Prompt to unlock the Bootloader again and flashed each .img file in line.
The phone booted up into the B136 firmware and I was then able to update OTA to B166, but not B182 strangely. So I downloaded a B182 version firmware and placed it in the 'dload' folder of the phone's S.D Card, before forcibly flashing it by holding volume up, volume down and the power button on boot up.
I subsequently used the below link, which showed me how to use Huawei Updater and HiSuite to update to B361 firmware.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70594380&postcount=2
Once on Nougat B361 firmware, my phone's update setting prompted me to update to the latest B378 firmware OTA.
Finally, to achieve Root status I followed the below guide and am now running root with SuperUser and BusyBox installed. I'm happy to report that both Nougat 7.0 and HMUI 5.0 are running smoothly on my phone and all features are working (i.e. Bluetooth, Camera and NFC) and performance and battery life are all noticeably better than ever.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70927601&postcount=456
Be aware that my phone is EVA-L09, so I followed all guides and downloaded all firmware that related to my specific phone model.
Phew! Thanks for all of your help and good luck to those who are attempting to get this working.
Bill.
Peace All...
I am currently on Minotauras ROM (MM) and would like to update my Note 5 920G to the latest Nougat firmware---so I can download a Nougat custom ROM (i know one is not dependent on the other, but I was always taught that if the base changes, its best to update the firmware to avoid any potential problems). However, I'm unclear as to what steps should be taken to update the firmware--I'm relatively new to SamSung devices. I know Odin is the update utility, but unclear whether I should first flash a "stock" Marshmallow Recovery and stock ROM--then take OTA...or can I just flash the Nougat firmware and then flash TWRP? What happens to my data & apps? Will all settings be erased?
Please advise.....

1)You are on stock Marshmallow 6.0.1 right as i guess so? Then you have MM bootloader(But if you are on 5.0.1 lollipop bootloader then you need atleast upgrade you bootloader to 6.0.1, you can find MM bootloaders at Samsung galaxy note 5 android development thread anywhere mostly at Dr.ketan Rom N8 S8+ port/You can also find Nougat bootloaders there only)
2)Don't worry then if you want to upgrade to any custom nougat rom then you can simply download prefer one and install through TWRP as you installed Minotorus Rom(Assuming You are on Marshmallow Bootloader and Oem unlocking/Usb debugging options are enabled from Developers option)
3)Or if you want to update your stock firmware to official Nougat for updated model and bootloader after that want to try Custom nougat rom, then you can download official Stock 7.0 firmware for your device N920G and specific country if available from websites like sammobile.com or samsungupdates.com etc (I am unknown about your country afaik samsung released 7.0 for N920G for some specific countries atm, like for asian countries not for latin american countries)
4)Further Odin flashing guides you can find also here within forum only, if you have any query related to odin flashing you can ask me i will provide you Odin flashing guide also(Kindly don't forget to enable Oem unlocking and Usb debugging option from developers option before flashing anything using Odin or you may brick your device)
5)You can also flash official stock 6.0.1 and update through OTA to 7.0 but above mentioned method is easy to directly update to nougat(Only if official Stock 7.0 nougat firmware available for your device model no and country)
6)While updating to stock firmware using odin, all your user data stored on internal storage will be lost(If you directly flash custom nougat rom on minotorus rom then user data stored on internal storage will be there) so i will suggest you take backup of your current data
Peace!!
First off--THANK YOU DroidHackeR for your response. I was out of town so I coulnt respond sooner. But Yes...I'm on MM 6.01 and I would prefer to upgrade to the offical 7.0 firmware. My model number is 920G, which I think is an International model.I am in the Unite States and using Tmobile's bands. I looked on sammobile and saw that they did have the official firmware (but for Bangladesh, India--I didnt see anything that said International...and thats where I kinda got stuck, cause I dont know if that firmware would be compatible). With that being said--I guess my best option would be to flash an official stock 6.01 firmware and then take the update? I have OEM unlocking and USB debugging enabled.
Could you please walk me through flashing via Odin? Like where would I find the stock 6.01 firmware? Sammobile as well? I know I will loose my data..I've backed up most of my files.
Thank you again for help!

Well you can always flash the MM firmware in odin then take the OTA but ive always just flashed the new firmware via odin just because it easy.
And flashing firmware via odin will not wipe your device unless you change your CSC.ive used odin literally 100s of time across numerous devices over the years and it never has wiped my device...common misconception for some reason.
But of course first you need to find the correct firmware for your device on sammobile.
Then once downloaded un zip it and load the tar in the AP slot in odin.
Occasionally a factory reset is needed for the device to boot and that will wipe your storage.
There are tons of tutorials on how to use odin...hit that search button, use Google or even hit you tube for videos (which are useful if your a total n00b since you can see how it runs so no surprises).
If you do it once after that it will seem so easy.

Hi,
Thanks for your inputs. I tried same steps for my N9208 dual SIM with stock 6.0.1 firmware from sammobile.
After Odin flash, boots to stock recovery and throws dm-verify check failed error.
Please share your suggestions.

I would suggest that next time you use the search function to try and help your self first as learning is key here.
That said i did a quick search for you which led to many results but this is an excellent read.

Well.. I searched YouTube video tutorials, GooGle searched and went to SamFirmware and downloaded a 6.01 stock firmware. However, the file I downloaded was for Bangladesh (I have a 920G model) and it failed when trying to flash it via Odin. So I downloaded another 6.01 firmware--this time for Brazil (as all tutorials have stated that as long as the model number is the same its ok to flash). At first the green loading bar was working and it got all the way through to radio image and then it failed---but now my system has been wiped and now my phone is bricked. Do you or any other member know of a 920G 6.01 firmware that is compatible for the USA? It appears the radios are not compatible causing it to FAIL in flashing it in Odin.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

1)Did you try to put 4files firmware that comes with BL,AP,Modem,CL separately?
2)As You can get into download mode successfully kindly install samsung smartswitch on your phone>connect your device to pc while in download mode>open smartswitch>select emergency software recovery so that it will recognise your device as well as actual latest firmware for your device to be installed
3)If smartswitch doesn't help anymore, try with full firmware(4 files firmwate of any of Latin American countries as you stated for USA, may be the country's that lies near to you by region) but this time you need to uninstall smartswitch or Samsung kies in case installed as it could possibly mess up with Odin flashing

Thank you for ur response. This is my first SamSung phone---I came from HTC and was familiar with their process of rooting and updating (which was a pain)--but I'm totally unfamiliar with Odin.
When you say put the files in separately---i'm not sure what you mean, cause when I extract the Update zip, I only get a a tar file---should I unzip in a folder?
Thanks again!!!
Use flash fire
Hi guys, I am only a very junior user who randomly flash his phone but most of the time I want my phone to be stable for work. I have had the situation since the recent OTA available, suffered a lot, would like to seek any help or advice.
I have a L09C635B361, Japan version. I updated to Android 7 via OTA, then unlocked / rooted under the instructions in this forum, forgot which exact thread though. Never thought of flashing any customized rom so I haven't realized the update problem until the recent OTA update (from B361 to B382) released. I got the push, downloaded B382 OTA package, restart to TWRP, then the flash was failed in TWRP screen. Restart again, the system notified there was a recent update failure. Then I installed Firmware Finder, downloaded the 3 update zip files, restart back to TWRP, still failed installing. Please refer to the failure screenshot for detailed reson. I have no idea what it said and how I should do differently.
No other way to go, I backed up my system, then wiped my phone, reset to factory mode, but brand new system was very strange: only voice input, no keyboard, missing several key functions such as camera. So I have to restore to my previous system, everything worked well except I can't open "clock".
Right now I am looking at system notification of B382 all the time, but I can't figure out how to get it updated, I don't mind if there's a way enables me go back to stock rom, but it's really hard to find the stock firmware for C635......
Thanks, appreciate your help in advance.
Hey man, try follow this guide to debrand your phone (get onto C432). It will probably unroot you and get you back to stock firmware as well.

Might want to check around first though, I dont want you bricking your phone on my account.

Thanks bro. I will try the entire process when I have a backup phone.
One more thing is when I first tried to wipe phone, failed for several times. Plus the TWRP flashing error, I have suspect that there's something wrong with my partition information or format error. Can anyone help me to eliminate the possibility by the screenshot please?
On the other hand, I found 3 zip files on Firmware for same version update. Which one should I flash? If I need to flash all of the 3, is there a sequence?

You flash those in the order they appear. Except the last one, don't flash that (I think). From what I know it's always been update.zip and then update_hw.zip.
I see you're going to flash hw_jp which is the Japanese cust, so ignore the advice above about debranding to c432 as that's essentially the same thing as what you are about to do with those files. (C432 is the European version, which is called update_hw_eu.zip)
Also the voice input only bug is well known. You need to rollback to marshmallow (I forget which firmware but there's a thread on it here somewhere) and then OTA back to nougat and it should fix it.

Well, it ended up with paying 20USD to some "pro"s on taobao.com to unbrick my P9...sigh...am I too old to do this :crying:
Hi guys, I have a OP3 which is running on 3.1.2 Marshmallow.
I always get a notification for system update to 4.5.1. I've tried downloading and installing the update but after the first boot my OP crashes/gets bricked. There is only a Linux penguin logo that appears no matter what button you press.
From there I always have to follow the mega unbrick guide and get my phone back to working with stock recovery and 3.1.2.
I've tried side loading the downloaded file as well.
Then I've tried installing .zip file of 5.0.1 via TWRP, still no luck. it still bricks my phone.
Am comfortable rooting my phone, my bootloader is unlocked. I don't care too much about keeping root after updating my phone to the latest version, I would be grateful to anyone who can point me towards the proper full ROM files of 5.0.1 along with any firmware files that may be required.
And the exact process of when to flash the firmware and with/without which version of TWRP. I am ready to completely wipe and clear data.
in simple words I just want to update from 3.1.2 to 5.0.1. The simple downloading and updateing from the OTA update doesn't work.

I read something about wrong batteries causing this problem. Do you use the original battery?

I though of running a diagnosis check by dialing *#808# and looked up Charger option, it shows the battery as "itech_3000mah"
is that original?
I had given the phone to repair for water damage to a professional service chain (Not OnePlus, some company here called Yaantra). I've heard from talking to an official repair person of OnePlus that fake batteries are not possible for OnePlus.
The battery works absolutely alright, charges up nicely and I get decent SOT. Can't complain at all.
Alirghty so i bought a used samsung note 8 duos. it says it on the back, in the software, in smart switch, heck even the AP and CSC files are infact for a SM-N950F
Here is where the problem is as far as I've figured out, I'll explain what the firmware files are on the device taken from dialing *#12580*369#:
BL:N950NKSU5DSK1
AP:N950FXXS7DSH1
CP:N950NKOU5DSH1
CSC:N950FOXM7DSG1
The phone runs fine honestly but its bugs me that there two different binaries mixed in my phone from what i can tell the BL and CP are from a Korean level 5 Binary (also can someone tell me why security levels matter now?) and the AP and CSC are from F model level 7 Binary
I cant flash anything stock cause its the only thing ive tried and it just wont let me. I am downloading a level 5 binary in *hopes* that it doesnt see an issue with the security levels between firmwares as i always get the fricken PIT error or secure download error orrrr the magic string invaild
All i need is a way to get my dualsims back up and running ive got two imeis on this phone which ive checked online and theyre working also id love it if i could just get all 4 files to be from the same firmware zip
FYI the only thing ive been able to flash is TWRP after which i got to installing no-verity and magisk, Ive been using twrp backups as a failsafe to revert back to the 'original' state my phone was in and thats the only thing working for me so far and i may or may not be a noob in flashing samsung devices

The reason for that is because the phone has obviously been repaired using different hardware from different devices. It's never going to be able to flash normal firmware being that there's different hardware in it. If you want to upgrade that you'll need to use the different versions of firmware for each different hardware.. I'd just send it back if I bought it from somewhere like that.
Revert to Stock
I owns one Galaxy Note 8 SN950-F Indian version,
I have installed one custom ROM for my mobile last month and now i need to revert back to stock.
How can i do it ? Once i installed stock OS using Odin but Knox looks crashed and apps like secure folder not working !
Can i get it done through service center ? When i contacted them they said its impossible as you have rooted once.

Once Knox is tripped it takes a motherboard replacement to revert it.
If SF (Secure Folder) is that important to you, stay on a custom rom that has patched SF patched already.
Literally all TWRP/Rom threads warn you of this, always read the whole OP of any thread in the future.
Yeah. Thats what im doing now. Running on doctor ketans rom.
but im little worried now. Because haven't used any custom roms and worried about security issues.
Can we still go back to stock os ? With genuine updates?

Just follow the steps in the thread below. At the bottom of post #2 you can download "samfirm" for you Pc, it will let you download the latest filmware at a decent speed. (once back on stock you should disable OEM lock so your bank app, Netflix etc will work)

Like I said to you above, once Knox is tripped SF won't work, if SF is that important to you stay on a custom rom that has patched SF. If you're worried about security updates use DeluxeRom which has last months security patch.

I am having this same problem.....my phone got bricked so i was looking for my stock rom but the only stock rom that works with my Samsung note 8 is the korean version which supports one 1 sim but my device is dual sim
