[Q] MIUI 2.1.13 released

I am new here, and have recently installed MIUI on my 2X
Here are the bugs I have found in this latest build, may also post your bugs and solution here as well.
1) phone got frozen after unplugging usb connection from pc
temporary solution make sure the screen is on while unplug from usb
we can use a app to alleviate this problem, just try"Multi Mount SD-card" By gsws666
2) phone got frozen after using torch for few mins
3) phone turn off itself (sleep dead) at night once/twice a week when charging
4) when going into a place with no signal reception (eg lift/underground), when you go back to open space it will fail to search any signal at all until you restart the phone.
just try the app "GET RIL", maybe the ril of your phone isn't matching the baseband. By gsws666
Also, does anyone try using HDMI out with this rom?

here's the solution:
as we know the USB bug is a permanent bug of MIUI for optimus 2X, we can use a app to alleviate this problem, just try"Multi Mount SD-card", this is the only software-based way.
I don't know the details of the second problem and there is not any discussion about it in Chinese MIUI forum .
When it comes to your 3rd question, I have to say, there are many reasons that could cause your 2X "sleep-dead", the solution is to turn on the screen when you are charging your phone.
You could connect your phone with other devices directly if you wanna use HDMI, it will work without any extra set.

I don't have usb unplugging problem, but the torch app is caused FC after turned on for awhile, the phone didn't freeze though. Also tried HDMI output, it works fine.
I have found another bug when I tried to import contacts from a vcf file, process aborted with message '...android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly...', and the progress bar remained in notification screen forever. I have to restart the phone to get rid of it.

not able to overclock this kernel guys , i use a SE neo V , can I get an over clockable one? , the one created by Jason Stein is it compatible

wrong....effin....forum...mate. and the ability to OC/UV depends on the kernel you are using, not the rom

Thanks for your solution, will add this to the top post for other users. Just added point 4 I found today as well about signal drop problem.

just try the app "GET RIL", maybe the ril of your phone isn't matching the baseband.

Should I also try delete stk.apk from system/app? have anyone try this work to solve #4?

yeah, maybe it a way to alleviate #4, but I'm not sure it will be effective, just try to remove it from your system apps. There are many reasons for this problem, such as unmatching ril and SIM card.

BTW, you could try another version of baseband, such as 20110725, it will be compatible with MIUI.

What version of MIUI do you use?
I am using China official MIUI rom. For fixing the bugs, I am temped to try different rom such as Scotland MIUI (this solved SD card issue/better battery usage).
or user custom rom such as MIUI for YeZaizhu.Q8. (more custom of MUMI with v4 layout).

official MIUI 2.1.13. I just tried Scotland, but if failed to solve SD card crash on my P990.

Try Vadonka's Kernels .. You can find normal or powersaver kernel with ram hacks. You can more info in the thread.

These are BETA test versions! With some bugs. Some FC-s. High battery consuption. Etc-etc…
Works.
Full clean install recommended.
It is very fast but has some bugs ofcourse. It is BETA Test version.
GPS, Data (DUAL SIM 3G!), WiFi working.
Unfortunately, the call function is incorrect
I can hear the other person but calling people can not hear me.
Chrome FC again-and-again for me.
Battery consumption higher than V5.
4.4.2 gapps recomennded or you have to use MARKET.app (built-in)

That is build with lot of bugs. Many of things don't work at all other don't wotk proper. It not suitable for daily use.

A modded Version from MIUI forum:

I am flashed.
Works good.
GPS, Data, WiFi, Call works.
Full cleaned. No file manager, no browser.
Pico-GAPPS included.
Google Play Store works normally.
Battery consumption higher than v5.
Dual 3G enabled.
Thats all what I am tested.

I do not found critical bug. All of my apps are working. But I am not tested everything. For example Chrome browser and Phone Call does not worked on MIUI Beta ROM, but works normally on this ROM. If you want I will try something what you want… Camera & Video OK.

Button backlight don't work, In SIM 2 you can use ONLY SIM without pin, because pin don't work, if you try to put apn phone is restart, big battery drain!

Tried that rom and my phone was displaying 1% battery the entire day. Will test tethering later

Turn off phone, make full charge. After this battery percentange will roughly correct...

Sometimes, a touch appears on the screen continously after screen turn on.
It doesn't appear always. It appears sometimes.
Once it apppears, it remains for hours.
Could it be a hardware or rom issue?

Probably a ROM issue. A custom ROM is a massive hack that runs on unofficial drivers - it's not surprising that something like this happens.

Color calibration MIUI 9

Hello everyone. I have a mi5 with burn-in problem. I changed the rom to Lineageos and managed to set the colors blue, green and red to 95%, this solved the problem, but I would like to continue in the MIUI 9. Is there any configuration I can do to stay the same? I know custom kernel is required but there's not any single custom kernel... yet, so anyone can help me? Maybe some file to flash throw TWRP?

Thanks for solving my burn in problem! On that note, I'd like to mention that it doesn't happen on MIUI probably because it is properly calibrated for the Mi5 from the beginning (unlike LOS).

Actually it happens to me on MIUI 9 so yes, still happens on MIUI roms

I tried this rom, it's very buggy, and battery drains too fast.

I install the DX3.0. This version works on my 928f ok. No Reboots an no battery drain

Ok, i must say...it's a fantastic rom.
Installed DX5.0 and testing, but till now i'm amazed with this piece of art.

Had to change the kernel too, it was rebooting each time i need to do something with the phone. Reboots only 2 times, then started working ok.
Last night, discharged around 3% in 7-8 hours..seems acceptable to me...

This is why I even gotten to rooting. Any 7.0 and 7.1.1 rom, restarts my phone. My only solution is going back to 6.0.1.

That was the first thing I did. Now I'm struggling with battery drain.

Yes, it seems root was causing the reboots...i've installed the rom again, without root, and no reboots till now

If the problem it's the kernel, wipe caches will not do anything.....

Reinstall the rom again this way:
- Wipe system, data and caches, in TWRP
- Isstall the rom but don't reboot
- Install the kernel, then reboot
I've install without SuperSu or Magisk, and all seems to be good.
I'll check the battery consumption tonight.

I froze anything related to Bigsby with Titanium Backup, and turned off the AOD. Battery seems better. The reboots stopped.
LE: Batttery is definetely better

This is my second day with the rom and to say something about battery I will wait one week at least.
About the rom features and rom appearance, thius rom is flawless. Bixby vision works perfectly.
I suggest to install with no fear.

From 11.00 PM to 7.30 AM only discharged 3%...
2 -3 hours with wi-fi on, maybe 1/2 hour with data on, and 2 or 3 phone calls, at the end of the day it discharged about 45-50%, so i guess its not bad

Yeah, not bad. I also experienced something bad. I cannot pair my Gear S3 Frontier. I tried even with a new fresh install. I guess I'm staying on Pure ExtraLite.

Bluetooth does not work

After reinstalling i can activate Bluetooth but now Same Problem with my s3 frontier. Can someone Help pleeeaaaase. Such a nice Rom, thx to dev. IT says "Kopplung läuft" for hours..
