Phone died while playing radio, RUU required - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
I have a stock One M7, that was playing the radio. The radio went off and the phone gets stuck on the white htc screen. I have tried factory reset and it stays the same. Can anyone point me in the direction of a suitable stock ruu file. Details below:-

You'll need to follow instructions at the end of post #2 to downgrade your version-main (because your phone is s-on)
Then follow instructions at post #1 to flash the ruu

Hi Alray
I did that, and downloaded the file you stated, but it fails. Either the phone's stuffed or I am doing something wrong. I can't get back into recovery either now. The phone says
"TAMPERED"
"RELOCKED"
Then when trying to access recovery, it tries an another line appears underneath those 2 warnings **Security Warning**

See above comments in blue, you are doing a lots of mistakes in your commands.
It's "fastboot" not "fast"
it's "rebootRUU" not "reboot ruu"
And remember that you must use the fastboot version linked at post #1

Active cmdline overflow?

I've had a look around and read other topics on this, but none have seemed to help me. I was in the middle of returning my HTC One back to stock, all was good until I did an OTA update. Now I keep getting "active cmdline overflow! (1090 bytes)"

Remove your serial number and your IMEI number from your original post like it did in the quote above, its dangerous to post it.
then see here for your problem and a fix http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2739126
copy and paste the dd commands to be safe, if you make a mistake with the command or code then its bye bye phone.
ah thanks for that.
I've tried to flash a new recovery, but I still can't boot into it.

you HAVE TO flash that modified recovery in the thread I linked, its the only one that will work.
Sorry if I didn't make it clear, but that was the recovery I flashed. Yet it still reboots to the bootloader instead.

Oh sorry, my bad, reading through the thread, its states you need to downgrade your HBOOT, but ill just double check that, you are s-off so shouldn't be a problem.
it's proving tricky.
I've downloaded the hboot, when I get an error.. FAILED <remote: not allowed>
yup, seems the problem is with HBOOT 1.55 and upwards, a lot of people on there are just downgrading there HBOOT to 1.44 then the recovery works, however, if you decided to do this you need to be aware that windows 8 upwards will no longer detect your phone, you must use windows 7 or Ubuntu.
I'm using Window 7 Professional 64-bit.
Can you point me in the right direction on how to correctly downgrade? I tried to dowgrade to 1.44 and got this.
C:\Users\Ricky\Downloads>fastboot flash zip h144.zip

excellent, glad it worked, you have to be very careful with HBOOTs, the wrong one will lead to an instant brick, you don't want to be seeing any error's :crying:
Sorry for the slightly necro post.

[Q] Need Help Returning to Stock

Hey guys,
I'm usually not too bad at this, but after many attempts, I could not return back to the TMOBILE stock 5.0.2 for my M7.
My first attempt:
Run the RUU_M7_UL_L50_SENSE60_MR_TMOUS_7.18.531.2_Radio_4T.35.3218.16_10.33Q.1718.01L_release_421697_signed_2.exe, when it boots into fastboot and RUU mode, htc_fastboot.exe crashes and stops working. I have attached a picture of the firmware upgrade screen.
Second attempt:
Download the ruu zip from http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one/general/lollipop-ruu-zip-small-collection-t3053944 for tmobile US, ran htc_fastboot oem rebootRUU, htc_fastboot flash zip ruu.zip

In addition to having the correct CID and MID, 7.xx.531.x RUU needs 2 things to be flashed:
hboot version must be at least 1.57
firmware version must be at least 6.xx.531.x
So flash the firmware first, if you can't find it then flash an older RUU.zip (Downgrade)
Is there any way i can RUU so that the hboot stays at 1.54 or 1.55 so i can s-off in the future?

Thanks for the help buddy.
You can go all the way back to 1.44 hboot, and s-on there, so you can soff using revone when it comes back. Then send it over for warranty. However if they change the motherboard, you may not get back the same firmware level

You should know that currently you are not on T-Mobile firmware, you are on wwe world wide English, and although your mid and cod say your on T-Mobile, your version main says your on wwe 401 not 531, if you send it back like that, they will know for sure that you messed with it, locked and a-on or not.
Thanks for all the help! I ended up flashing the 3.24.531.3 fw via fastboot, then flashing the 3.24.531.3 RUU.zip. I'm S-on now with no tamper and locked boot loader. Hboot 1.55 is able to be s-off'ed, so just in case they send me back the phone with only a replaced camera module and the same motherboard, I will be able to s-off again.

relock your bootloader to flash a ruu. Also remove your IMEI/SN from your above post.

Your phone must be booted in ruu mode to flash a ruu
you must use htc_fastboot.exe to flash a ruu, not fastboot.exe
Code:
htc_fastboot oem rebootRUU
htc_fastboot flash zip PN07IMG_M7_UL_L50_SENSE60_MR_HTC_Europe_7.19.401.22_Radio_4T.35.3218.16_10.33Q.1718.01L_release_430964_signed.zip
htc_fastboot reboot

Can´t find correct HTC One (m7) ROM

I need help! I have a HTC One (m7) Unlocked/Developer 32GB. By the moment it was rebooting from Android Lollipop 5.0 Update, the screen froze on HTC logo. It seemed to be Half Bricked. I tryed to FACTORY RESET, but it didn´t work. My last chance is recoverying by Stock ROM. I know how to do it, but I can´t find the correct RUU.
Please help me find It, I need my phone back.
OBS:
- I have all HTC drivers installed.
-I have found the correct version of kernel on HTCdev only.

I will upload a RUU that should work: 6.15.599.101 which is the 4.4.3 ruu, I'll contact you back tomorrow when its ready with link to download and instructions how to flash.
@yurielkadi
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347843559
download this ruu and save it in t he same folder where you have adb and fastboot installed on your computer.
Connect the phone with the original usb cable (or any other usb cable already known to be correctly working with adb/fastboot)
reboot in boorloader mode by holding power and volume down
In the bootloader mode, select the 'fastboot' mode and make sure ''fastboot usb' is shown in red
open a terminal window from your adb/fastboot folder
Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip PN07IMG_M7_U_K443_SENSE60_MR_HTC_LA_SPA_6.15.599.101_Radio_4T.28.3218.04_10.33E.1718.01D_release_388532_signed.zip
fastboot flash zip PN07IMG_M7_U_K443_SENSE60_MR_HTC_LA_SPA_6.15.599.101_Radio_4T.28.3218.04_10.33E.1718.01D_release_388532_signed.zip
fastboot reboot
If your phone is S-ON, you must make sure that your bootloader is locked or relocked before flashing the ruu. If its unlocked, relock it using
Code:
fastboot oem lock
