Fail at boot, the common boot images are 32mb there are 17mb
That's original boot images and they are 17mb. Never saw a boot image with 32mb.
They work for me.
I can prepare them for unpacking if you want. Maybe they work then for you.
Thank You , Working on my P10 VTR-L09C432B113
You are the best
High five
Man, I was struggeling with V4A for the last two days. This worked out perfectly on my VTR-L09C432B113. Virtual high five to you!
Lol [emoji106]
If someone wanna test another nice feature please pm me.
Just TWRP needed.
Test is finished now.

@Blackball, thx for your work. I have VTR-L29, B130. When I use 2.81 Supersu Viper works but my phone goes crazy. It loses contact with sim card and I'm losing network. After a while it asks me about sim card pin but freezes on authentication. When I try the older Supersu 2.79, phone works but of course not Viper (abnormal driver status).
Then use 2.79 and set Kernel to permissive with terminal (setenforce 0)
But after reboot you need to set to permissive again.

Thanks for your advice, I've realized that 2.79 https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10-plus/development/root-huawei-p10-plus-vky-y-dm-verity-t360 does not root my device properly (Titanium can not freeze apps), so commands in terminal are not working. Strange...
Try another twrp. I had the same problem.

Do you remember which one worked for you? I've tested a few with negative result.

Sadly, it doesn't work with 2.79 for me only with 2.81(but it brakes my sim card recognition) and twrp n3.1.1 setting does not persist reboot
That's strange. I could give u an untested 2.82. But on your own risk. If you want pm me.

Hello Chainfire,
I have smartphone LG G3 32GB (D855), as custom rom I just installed the CM13. I tried to flash through recovery TWRP SuperSU-v2.62-3-20151211162651.zip, but when I restarted the device went into boot loop.
Can you tell me if I should try another version, or you have to wait ??
I have the same question
...
Currently the replacement kernel needs to be bumped (searching the beta thread will give you the instructions for this). I may have a different (easier) solution in a few days, though.

Same problem here with my ONEPLUS One... Updated to the latest CM 13.0 nightly everything was perfect. Installed SuperSU "UPDATE -SuperSU v2.46. System hang at the Android character during logon. I have reloaded the CM13.0 and Gapps, reflashed those two to restore system operation. Found SU v2.62-3 I'll hold off on flashing that SuperSU until a ".. different (easier) solution..." is available. Thanks Chainfire!!!
Happy to wait!

Yeah i've got it running with root access and also permissions to /system
Just use the SuperSU 2.52. What i think is that SuperSU 2.52 doesn't patches the boot.img. And thats the point of why 2.52 works.
Our LG G3 hates it when somebody touches the boot.img

the problem is that with cm13 root, some apps like Leandroid doesn't work, cause it wants only supersu.
for example, my friend with Nexus 5 cm13, has installed supersu 2.62 and he enjoys Leandroid perfectly.
nothing? :crying:
The way I got SuperSU to work on my phone was to use the SharpeningMod zip, which bumps the sytem img back for you. Just tried it on latest Cyanogenmod nightly and BETA-SuperSU-v2.66.zip.
Download the mod from http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/orig-development/fix-sharpening-mod-script-1-0-beta-t2957648
Latest version is 3.5
Boot into TWRP perform a back up of your curent system just incase,
flash the latest supersu zip then flash the sharpening modzip, I selected disabled in the list and then let it do its thing.
Rebooted and Cyanogen booted with no loops.
Hope this helps anyone who wants an easy way to install.

Awesome!!! That was so painless...lol. Thank You! NOTE: I downloaded and installed a nightly update afterwards and ran into binary update problem again. I simply opened SuperSu settings, hit the cleanup option for new install, reboot to recovery, repeated flash of both and all went smooth. I now have SuperSu 2.62 on CM 13 NIGHTLY 01-19-16. Thanks again :cyclops:

You also can manually install update from TWRP, after than reinstall xposed Framework (if have it), supersu 2.66 and last reinstall "Sharpening-Mod-3.5".. now reboot.

I used SuperSU included in TWRP from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67791618&postcount=10 to root my device. In this thread, it is said that only this modified version of SuperSU is working.
Is it possible to flash the included SuperSU systemless and then flash suhide from http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/suhide-t3450396?
Just in case someone else also wants to try this - I got SuperSU + suhide working.
What I did:
- Unrooted from SuperSU app
- Rebooted system (happened automatically)
- Rebooted into TWRP and systemless flashed SuperSU 2.78-SR1 from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/2014-09-02-supersu-v2-05-t2868133
- Rebooted system
- Rebooted into TWRP and flashed suhide
-> SuperSU is working, Pokemon Go 0.39.1 is also working
Hi zendertrick,
thanks for the heads up!
It worked fine so far, but now I have a major issue with vibration: a few seconds after I unlock my SIM, my phone doesn‘t vibrate anymore.
Is this also happening to you?
Thanks and best regards

How To Play Pokemon Go with Superuser (Root enabled)
Note:
IT MIGHT CAUSE BOOTLOOP OR MIGHT BRICK YOUR DEVICE. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A BACKUP.
Requirement:
Fresh Installation of Rom or Dirty Flash of your current rom (I tested it on CM and RR- Fresh. It might work on other custom roms.)
TWRP Recovery
Magisk: http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
unSU Script : http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3931994&d=1478779893
Steps:
1. Reboot into Recovery
2. Flash unSU Script and Magisk in order.
3. Reboot into System. (Mobile should boot without bootloop, otherwise you have to reinstall the ROM and try again)
4. Install Phh Superuser from here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.phh.superuser&hl=en.
4. Open Magisk Manager ( Update it,if it is asked) and it will ask you for SU permission. Allow it.
6. Go to Settings and Tick " Enable Magisk Hide " and Reboot your phone.
7. Once again Magisk Manager and it will show status of SafetyNet at 3rd row and It should Passed.
Install PokemonGo and Enjoy

I'm not sure. I didn't test it.
But you can install the Xposed Framework module through Magisk Manager.
In CM builds you don't need all this you just need this simple app:

I'm gonna assume this doesn't work with CM12.1 right?

Thanks for your tutorial.
Does this mean that CM14.1 passes safetynet now? I don't exactly need root but when I tried it a few weeks ago PKMN Go told me that the OS I had was not supported.

Yes, cm 14.1 could pass safety net with this.
This works for sure. But if you're running a secondary ROM using MultiROM the modified boot.img will cause safetynet to indeed fail. I hope they do bring an update soon to fix this though.
Daft question, but i'm unable to use an online banking app, due to being rooted. I know this relates to PokemonGo, but wondering if this could fool the banking app?
I am using H2OS beta (Nougat) and I followed the below steps, but safety net is failing.
1. Dirty flash current ROM
2. Flash UnSU.zip
3. Flash magisk and phh zips
4. Reboot
5. Install Magisk Manager and Phh superuser
6. check safety net
Is there anything which I'm doing wrong? Can you help me please. Thank you
Edit: A reboot and everything worked fine. Thank you so much

Hello, I am currently rooted on stock oos 4.0.3, with latest TWRP and super su free v2.79, can anyone help me out and tell me how to switch to magisk please, thank you!

If you use the unSU script the process is:
unSU
stock boot image
Magisk
This method did not work for me.
I am on KETAN n10 and initially, viper did not work. I installed magisk but that didn't fix it. nor the meefik busy box. So i decided to uninstall magisk and go back to superSU and it magically worked...
I unrooted from SuperSU itself like shown on the app's forum I believe. It rebooted my phone, I went into recovery first and then just flashed the latest magisk and made the switch

So you just went into the SuperSU app and used the built in Unroot option, and when the phone rebooted, you went back into recovery and flashed the latest Magisk and did NOT flash a boot.img and everything worked fine? you have root with Magisk now instead of SU and you didnt get a bootloop at all??? (i really want to swap out SU for magisk in my sons LG G2, so he can play PoGo again lol) (His G2 is running CRdroid custom rom, I wonder if that effects the steps I'll need to take)

If there's a proper backup of the boot image for the SuperSU app's full unroot option to restore, then that process should work perfectly (I've done it on a few devices myself). It's when it can't properly restore the boot image you might have issues and you'll have to do it yourself.
Take a look in the Magisk Troubleshooting guide, under "Moving from another systemless root solution to MagiskSU".
The nuclear method might be, to just flash the full stock OOS zip (can flash in TWRP) which will unroot and restore the boot.img (and everything else!). Then immediately flash Magisk before rebooting (so have the Magisk zip on the phone before updating). This should fully remove SuperSU, install Magisk, and keep TWRP on the phone.
Seeing as the original poster is still on OOS 4.0.3, you may want to update, anyway!

There are two options given in the SuperSU app, one is clean up to switch to a different SU app and the other is to permanently unroot. Which option is better?

I chose the Full Unroot option. Then flashed magisk. Worked perfectly.
Use the full unroot option. Catch here is that you might get dm-verity warning. It won't affect the phone in anyway but Android Pay might not work and you will see the warning for 5 seconds, everytime you restart the phone.
Thanks so much for ths thread. I am on Resurrection Remix OS and inititally installed SuperSU over Magisk (which came with the ROM). I decided that I wanted to use Magisk instead and followed the instructions in this thread and it worked a treat.

So for you that don't know already: "SuHide" is a application which hides root from other apps that detect it (Snapchat, Hulu, banking apps, etc.) And will allow you to use these apps while rooted.
In other words you pass safetynet
PLEASE READ THIS:
AFTER YOU INSTALL "SUHIDE" DO NOT INSTALL XPOSED IT WILL CAUSE A BOOT LOOP WHICH IS UNRECOVERABLE WITH OUT THE STOCK FIRMWARE FLASH
DO NOT INSTALL SYSTEM TWEAKS (PERFORMANCE TWEAKS FLASHED THROUGH TWRP) THEY WILL ALSO CAUSE I BOOTLOOP

2. Download the latest SuperSU. http://download.chainfire.eu/1220/SuperSU/SR5-SuperSU-v2.82-SR5-20171001224502.zip
3.Download the latest suhide. http://download.chainfire.eu/1219/suhide/UPDATE-suhide-v1.09-20171001222116.zip
FLASHING
4a. Boot into TWRP
4b. Flash the configure file and chose these options.
1st page= Last option should say 8.0 sbin mode
2nd page=Choose the second option on all sections.
3rd page= leave everything defaulted
5. now after that's done flash SuperSU the suhide. Then boot and it should reboot a few times but it will boot and you will have suhide
6. Open up the new app in your app drawer named "SuHide" and Grant superuser permission
Have Fun
