Its nothing to think about... reflash and my gutt feeling say that the reboots disapear.
If not, via odin make a flash to stock.
If that didnt help.. it may be a hardware issue..
No worrys i think.

Hi.
Yes.. if you dont wipe you could inheret the fault.
Factory wipe and then install rom.
Your other hang problem could be fixed to i think. Who knows in the end?

Maybe I just found another possible cause for this long lasting problem. Sorry for bothering this old thread again.
I reactivate old but gold Samsungs with 4G by flashing the most recent stable cfw available. So I did with some SGS3 LTE and I was wondering, why every phone had problems with it. One just curiously lost EFS wich led to continously booting (could be fixed by restore), one had a sudden problem with the powerbutton (could be fixed by soldering a new switch), one just didn't like the SoC-standby (setting kernel to min. 800MHz fixed that) and finally today I found the last one to have a problem with the screen. When the screen blacks out due to energysavings primarly the system loses the connection to the digitizer wich is not the main issue. But 30 seconds after the display shuts off, the standby comes in not so handy and the screen gets a short circuit wich leds to a reboot. So I tried to exchange with a shattered display with broken touch and, oh wonder, everything is working fine. I then connected the suspected display to another mainboard and guess what? Yes, it rebooted exactly 30 secs after the screen blacked out.
Is anyone here still on this device and can replicate my sightings? I'd love to use /e/ on all of these cute little thingies and maybe someone else could do this also by just replacing the display?
...a few facts to add: I tried "keep display active during charging" (development options) over night connected to a powerbank and it stayed on. Just locking the phone made it go nuts and reboot 30 secs after...
Hi,
I have been struggling with an issue this last week and I am lost. I updated my phone to JB from ICS 10 days ago.
I have flashed several JB 4.2.1 and 4.2.2 ROMs (slimbean, hellybean, c-rom mix, CM10.1...) after complete factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik. The phone works perfectly ok the whole day (no FC, no reboots, nothing)... except when I am home. At home the telephone reboots every 10-15 minutes. It doesn't when I am running some App (eg: when I am listening to music or podcast, texting, calling, wakevoice night mode on...). The reboots do not occur either when I am in plane mode. However it happens when I have wifi off, data off, bluetooth off. I have tried different combinations of kernels with the ROMs above: semaphore (reboots to recovery), devil (reboots or telephone turns off) and Mackay (reboots). I have also tried different governors and increasing the minimum CPU freq. deep idle off and I have tried different modems: JVU, JVT, JW4... Nothing works! I never had this kind of problem before and have been using custom ROMs since Froyo. I also have an HTC desire which works ok!
Any clues? I will appreciate any advice.
Have noticed the same problem. An using the Mackay ROM.
Left it on the table and suddenly it restarted on is own. Has happened twice within the hour. But no more since then.
Just upgraded to Mackay yesterday.

I guess my problem might be due to the SIM card as I have no reboots when using a sim card from another provider. Weird it just happens at home, though.

Maybe it is coincident that it reboots only at home.

No, it has been going on like that for 10 days. When I am home it reboots every 20 minutes or so and not a single reboot when I am away!

Im thinking that maybe it is a radio/kernel issue. It is possible that the signal at your house is not great or mixed up somehow. And that forces your phone to scan all the time and causes the. reboot. Signal is only the variable that i could think of as it is different from ur house and your work.

Thanks for your comment. You are right. Actually I live just a couple of km from my provider's head offices and their main signal tower. I guess the SIM card is malfunctioning because the problem started suddenly two weeks ago. Now I have been abroad for three days and my telephone was working great (BTW the vanilla rootbox rom is excellent!) I just come back home and my phone start rebooting itself again. The problem disappears if I use a SIM card from another carrier
Hi,
Like the topic says my Galaxy S1 keeps freezing when the screen turns out. I can press any buttons there will be no sign of a working phone. I always have to remove the battery and plug it in again. Then I have to restart the phone to be able to use it again.
I have cm10.1 nightly. I used the build of 27.02 since yesterday. Always worked since 1 or 2 weeks. Now I tried it with an update to the build of yesterday. Still no change.
Does somebody has a clue what to do?

I'm getting a lot of dropped calls on my G2, I've re flashed it a few times but still the calls drop. I've also edited the mobile network settings and changed the preferred network type and it still drops after about 5 minutes. I even put in a replacement sim card as well as gotten a replacement phone. Anyone have any ideas?
I have problems with the proximity sensor, maybe you're hitting the hang up button with your cheek

I doubt it I've tried holding it at just about every angle and it still happens :/
Tried some more stuff
Okay so now I'm absolutely 100% sure it's the rom. I've tried flashing on the nightlies which to my surprise were a lot more stable than the milestone release I was on. I tried using google voice and voice+ in order to voip the calls, which worked but still dropped like a fly. I held the phone at every angle possible so the proximity sensor is definitely ruled out. I have a fairly good connection in my area and was able to call on stock without any issues. It also appears that I am the only one experiencing this type of problem. Is there somebody out there that can help me troubleshoot it?
Make sure you leave your lock screen in place as your ear may be hang your phone up. :good:
Fixed It

I figured it out, just said screw it and moved to another rom. Now the calls no longer drop.
Hi there, ever since I upgraded my simfree Z1 C6903 to Kit Kat, my phone spontaneously switches off its wifi and sporadically drops the brightness down to its lowest.
This happens a few times an hour when I'm using my phone for browsing and chatting on text apps.
Every time I have to push my brightness back up and switch wifi back on.
They both change at the same time....
Anybody else encountered this problem?

I don't have any problem. How did you upgraded?
