I have HD voice enabled and can't initiate wifi calling. It spins for a while and then an error appears.
I have a few ore installed Verizon apps disabled.
Anyone know a workaround or why it is failing to engage?

I couldn't get it to work until I reenabled My Verizon Services. Once I got it set up I haven't tried to disable the My Verizon Services. Wifi calling is definitely working OK for me.
I had same issue and a factory reset fixed it fort me

It's not unique to your S8; I've had the same issue with my S7 - it's worse at home than it is when using hotspots (which tells me that my router is the issue). Since it's switchable, I swithc off VoLTE at home, but switch it ON when traveling.

Thanks I figured it out I had Automation Test and AuthService disabled which was causing the problem since they are enabled everything is working fine.

Can you tell me how did you figure it out and how did you rectify it ?
Just updated my Note 9 to pie last night. I can no longer turn on WiFi Calling. I know the setting moved to the Settings when the phone app, but when I go to switch it on, it says that it is unable to. I also have this persistent WiFi calling notification on all the time too.
Anyone else having this issue and found a solution yet?

I have no such problem with my Verizon note.
Attached are screenshots of my issues. When I switch WiFi calling on, it says to wait a few minutes then gives a message that it is unable to enable WiFi calling and to try again later.
Go into your settings app and Search for "My Verizon Services" in the search bar. Make sure this is enabled

I have VoLTE enabled, but I don't seem to be able to enable HD calling. ATT says it's enabled on my account. Their call protect program says I don't have it enabled.
In addition, under dialer/settings, I don't see the wifi calling option that I see on some websites.
Any ideas?

Have you fixed your problem with HD voice calls?
I have the same problem.
I have this SMG 7810 variant of S20 FE. The problem I noticed now is that whenever I am in call for more than few minutes, then the Wi-Fi seems to not working.. what may be the cause for this? I tried to manipulate some settings here and there, but nothing seems to solve the problem. Is anyone else having the same problem?
As in the wifi disconnect's you mean? I have been having WiFi randomly but regularly disconnect on my SM-G781B (Uk) 'just' using wifi. I know data (3/4/5-G) wont work if you are on a voice call, but afaik Wifi should not be effected.
Thinking out of the box, you might have toi disable the calling over wifi if its enabled on your particular model and see if that helps.

I don't have any option named calling over WiFi..The Wi-Fi remains connected but can't do anything. that's a weird problem that I'm having

I installed an app called "Wifi calling" which allowed me to change the setting and wi-fi calling worked, however, following an upgrade to Android 11, this app no longer works.
Does anyone know of any way that I can enable wi-fi calling on this phone? I was thinking of maybe a shortcut to an Intent.

I sorted this out by getting Vodafone to remove wi-fi calling from my account and then to add it back in. This refreshed the settings menu.
