Same issue with me on my old note 3.
Google likely banned it because of the hide function.
its romeved. wqs there 2 days ago
Yes, this has already been reported a number of times in the Magisk support thread. Like @Strephon Alkhalikoi says, it's most likely because of Magisk Hide and what it can do. No surprise really...
It's still available in the release thread.
Yes, I received a notice that my app is banned from Play Store
For more info, check out my new post in the main thread.

F-Droid, XDA's storefront, hell even /r/Android operates an app store.

F-Droid is NOT an app store for open source apps but for FLOSS apps.
Magisk Manager is NOT a FLOSS app (Play Services dependencies for instance) so it can't be added to the F-Droid repo.
ok, if magisk removed from playstore, how to use it (because open it alway show a popup goto playstore)

It's obvious that a new version with Play Store fixes will be uploaded very soon.

I'm not so sure about that... Of course, it's up to @topjohnwu, but that would mean removing the Magisk repo and also probably Magisk Hides ability to mess with SafetyNet and SELinux (a very much used feature). He claims himself he prefers to keep the Manager as it is and just distribute it through other channels.

Nope, I just wanted to say that he will (I guess ) release a new version without Google Play Store dependencies. Actually when flashing Magisk zip and the apk file of Magisk Manager, we have a pop-up message saying that we have to go to the Play Store to update the app. This will be fixed in the next update. From now on, I expect another pop-up saying 'update Magisk Manager from XDA/AFH/MediaFire...'

Yes I know; that was what I was talking about as well. :good: A simple misunderstanding where I thought @Primokorn was talking about making the Manager Play store compatible again, when in reality he was talking about removing all Play store dependencies...

Actually, it can be added it will just have the "promotes non-free network services" anti-feature. There are lots of non-FLOSS apps on F-Droid and they are marked as such.

Check the submission pages of F-Droid and let me know if you find a lot of new apps that have anti-features... Did you already see an app which has Play Services dependencies? We are not talking about non-free assets here or the app promotes non-free networks...
where is the link for manager since no link in release thread works, mirror will just open github with no binary/APK to download
EDIT: that tiny.cc link close itself without launching download in Chrome Dev if open as new tab link, you have to manually paste it in new tab to launch download, odd

What's good everyone!
I use the AirAudio app and pretty much enjoy streaming my music from services (such as Spotify) to any capable device at home, work or at my friend's house.
Now the module itself hasn't been updated and isn't compatible with the latest version of Magisk (v16), so I went ahead and made it compatible with it.
It'll be attached to this thread, simply download and install it manually.
I'll also try and upload it to the repository.
Note:
I am NOT affiliated with AirAudio.
I'm simply a user like you. I just noticed it's outdated and updated it.
Note for Moderators:
In case the actual AirAudio dev reaches out to you, let me know and feel free to close this thread.
In the meantime, I'd like users to use my updated module to use their app to the full extent.

you have to use both together. This module allows the app to use the "system mode" from the app and get the sound directly internally to send it over the wlan. The other mode from air audio is much worse as it is has to play the sound over the speaker and record it over the microphone.
For me this Magisk package is working wonderful: just installing this module. Afterwards the app from the Playstore and voila: I am able to play music from my phone to most every wifi-based receivers. The app is worth every cent!

There's no UI to it, it just enables the system-mode in AirAudio, yoiu'll have to check the app to see the option.
This module basically re-enables it.
Not working for me
Hello
I have a oneplus 6 running magisk 17.1
The module does not work for me. Airaudio never requests root privileges, is that the problem
Nope, that's why you use this module!
In the AirAudio app > Settings > System Audio button must be green.
Sent with much love & Android. OnePlus 5T
v3 breaks the app. Only microphone mode available. Had to revert v2 to get back system mode. Running Magisk v16 and MM 5.8.3.

The module should already be up to date now but I can't check it right now because my current device isn't rooted.
One user is reporting it's still not working but this might be related to another issue with Magisk.
Please check if v4+ is available inside Magisk Manager and contact me at [email protected] if you face any issues
I have same issuewith v4: reverting to v2 works.
I use multiple apps systemized via Magisk, for example microG, and all apps loose their data (granted permissions, app data etc) after a reboot. I created a test module with a test priv-app and it looses also all data in reboot. What's happening here? It's very annoying.
Found a workaround: Install the apps as user app before installing it as system app.
You and Vieu Van published a microG installer magisk module. I'm ready to test, but I can't find a channel for giving feedback. I see no issue in module's github either. (https://github.com/Magisk-Modules-Repo/microg_installer) What is your prefered way of communication?
Do you use EdXposed? I have the same issue and that module being enabled seems to be the cause.

I'm looking to get an Android phone but I don't want any google apps or services on it including the play store. Is there a Magisk module that can remove all the google apps and services and play store from a phone? I did a search for "remove google apps" and other such searches but could not find what I'm looking for. I see that the Aurora app store is an alternative play store. Is it safe to use?
Thank you for your advice!
Easiest would be to just flash a custom ROM and don't bother with installing Gapps. Voilà, free of Google apps and services.

Thank you for the reply. I agree but from my research I could not find custom ROMs available for the Pixel 3 that are officially supported and stable. Please recommend one if there is one that is officially supported and stable. If there is not I would like to know the steps after I root a phone to remove all the google apps and services.
https://f-droid.org/app/org.droidtr.deletegapps
But its very likely to experience bugs and problems (like force closes). The best option is to use a custom Rom
Or you can try the Nanodroid Module (to install microG), probably better than just remove GApps.
AuroraDroid/-store works as it should. I don't know what you mean by 'safe'.

Thank you for the reply. Ok I really would rather use a custom ROM. LineageOS to be precise but there is no official support for the Pixel 3. That's why I'm asking if there is a way, after rooting the phone, to remove all the google apps and services. You mentioned MicroG but does that actually remove all the google apps and services? I looked up MicroG and it looks to be for people who still want to use google apps and services but securely. I don't use anything google apps or services. There are some Microsoft apps I need for work so that's why I asked about Aurora. When I asked if Aurora is safe I meant does Aurora track or do anything unsecure.
Is there a LineageOS custom ROM that does work with the Pixel 3? If not then do I use MicroG to remove all the google stuff?
Sorry to ask so many questions. I've spent hours researching this stuff and there is so much info I read up on that I just need some clarity. Thanks for your patience.

"Official" and "unofficial" are quite often just terms to clarify, if the builder is part of the dev-team and/or if the Rom/Code is reviewed by one of the dev-team. It is possible, that an unofficial Rom isn't working as good as an official would, but I experienced this quite rarely.
BUT: unofficials usually don't have the possibility to OTA update.
But in the end, "official" and "unofficial" doesn't have to mean much
So my tip: Install and try some Roms, unofficial ones too ^_^

MicroG is an open source and privacy focused Google Services Framework. Its goal is to let apps work, which rely on GApps. I suggested it to grant a bit more stability to your un-googled stock Rom. Because the GApps are most likely deep buried into your (Stock)System, which can lead to severe instability and crashes if you just forcibly rip them out.
At least that's my experience. I never had a usable system with a blank removal of GApps
On a custom Rom its not necessary, if all apps you use work without GApps

I can try to check later. An "official" Lineage is quite unlikely, but maybe I find smth else
But yes, if you can't find a fitting Rom, you'll have to try with manually debloating/microG.
You can try to debloat your phone slowly with "Terminal Debloater" like someone already suggested.
One App/Service after another. If smth breaks, you can simply revert it, because this works systemless
No problem, just ask XDA is a forum and I'm here to help
Lineage is available for Pixel 3. It is unofficial, but built by someone on the Lineage team. Check the Pixel 3xl forum. Most custom roms are posted there, but are actually for both devices. The thing is, most custom roms for the device come with GAPPs included (Including Lineage), so not useful for you. This is getting OT though.

Thank you for the very detailed reply. Very helpful. I decided to get a Oneplus 7T and not a Pixel 3. I did research and found that most custom ROMs for the Oneplus 7T do not officially support Android 10 as well as MicroG and TWRP. The unofficial custom ROMs note that there are bugs and some instability currently. Being a newbie and needing my Oneplus 7T to be reliable as it's my only phone I rather have an officially supported LineageOS with MicroG custom ROM when it's released. Until then I need help figuring out the best method to remove all gapps and services. I don't use any google apps. I do use Microsoft apps so I need those to not only work but be able to send notifications. I also need to have location services work for a non-google maps app and weather app. I would like to keep Oxygen OS as it has some customizations features I like. Am I asking too much? Lol. However, since microG is not supported I don't think I can do what I'm looking for since MicroG removes all gapps and services and replaces them including location services ability and notifications. Does Magisk have a module that can do what I'm looking for?
You'll likely find better help in the OP7T forums:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7t
There is a debloater module you could use for this purpose, you'll find it on the Manager downloads section. Keep in mind that anything you do with a Magisk module is a systemless modification and the files will still be on your device (just masked by Magisk) and will return if you every disable/uninstall the module or remove Magisk. If you want a more permanent solution you'll need to use other means.

The "Manager downloads" is in the Magisk Manager, the app.
What I meant was that it will likely be easier for you to find help with debloating the device in its own forum.

Here is your place.
We will try to help you.
Keep attention, this is just a help thread, nothing is guaranteed.
Be patient and cordial.
If there is acceptance of the community on the subject, certainly the thread will grow.
Before posting your reply, please describe some questions:
- What is the version of Android ?
- What is the name of the app, the package of the app and where can we download the app ?
- When does exactly the app crash ?
- Are you using a custom/modded ROM or a stock ROM ?
- Which magisk modules are enabled ?
- Which xposed modules are enabled ?

okay. did so, loaded initRcHider as well - no luck. Denylist seems working, Momo does not mention magisk or zygisk or lsposed. Maybe SELinux permissive is the culprit? Seems that banking apps have got too strict - LOS 17 and pure old magisk hide did the job. Broken TEE, Seccomp???

Custom ROMs will always shown as abnormal because they are abnormal.
If they were not abnormal, they could not work.
About seliux permissive, this will always be a big red alert.
Hi @VD171
Thanks for creating this thread!

If banking app is too intrusive then you can simply access your online banking website through browser app and do your transactions from there
Browser app will never check if you got root or if your selinux is permissive or other things! Because it's none of its business!

You're right- I can access the online banking via browser. But to do transaction, I need apps - that's why I complain 🫠

We need ways for distinguishing unexperienced users and users who assume full responsibility for their own use.
Apps delivers many new possibilities and services, banking through browser app isn't enough actually.

Yeah, that is true. i hoped there are ways to disguise the complaints of MOMo (for example such a thing like renaming addon.d in /system to disguise "running custom rom"). And LOS 17 did run the banking apps, so I wanted to understand the difference.

Are you having problem with any specific app?

It's true - doing your financial transactions through the web browser feels a little bit prehistoric to say the least but it works and you don't need to waste your precious time trying to hide your root and other customizations from some intrusive apps that shouldn't be intruding on your privacy like that in the first place
I know it's not the perfect solution but the more solutions we have to avoid this annoying safetynet 'feature' altogether the better. I am so happy that I don't need to bother with this useless safetynet 'feature'

Any type of detection can be bypassed.
Even native methods can be bypassed, because Android app's run on java.
So, at sometime and somewhere, results are given to/from java.

Yes, those banking apps BestSign (it detects root immediatly but can be used), S-PushTAN and VR-SecureGo. these three worked on rooted 'unnormal' LOS 17.1 but don't work now in 19.1. Momo said magisk and LSPosed were hidden butcomplains about that unnormal enviroment.

When does exactly the app crash?
May you attach some screenshots?
I've tried all them.
All them are working fine for me.

It's possible you downloaded the wrong version of the app. If you look at various apps on APKMirror, such as Google Photos, there are many different variants available. You want to use an arm64-v8a version, preferably "nodpi" as that should work with all devices.

For some reason Google made an absurd last minute decision to make 32bit arm apps incompatible with the Pixel 7 at the software level. There is a workaround which I can confirm does work, as I am using it, but to get it to work if you have already rooted your phone with magisk you will have to backup your data and then do a wipe of the device.
The workaround is at this thread

There's a new restriction with Android 13 for sideloaded apps not from Play Store, F-Droid and maybe other stores. I ran into it with an apk from Github. Your error doesn't relate but installing from a file manager is a symptom. In any case, if you think this restriction could be part of your problem search ACCESS_RESTRICTED_SETTINGS for a possible workaround.
@Nnik345 here you can find an answer and imo you should ask related questions better here instead of opening a new thread.
