Hey,
first of all - i know there are plenty of topics, videos etc. about this. But I really dont want to screw up anything and dont know where to start. So I would really appreciate some information from somebody who know lot about unlocking HTC One M7 now in 2017.
I bought one - because my previous one died. And its like the best smartphone ever, right?
Seller told me that he get it from Spain. And I cant use my SIM card (obviously) here in Czech Republic. But I noticed somebody was trying to unlock it before - because its rooted. So its running 4.4.2 android and its rooted.
Another maybe useful informations: HTC SDK API level: 6.20, PRL verison: 55015, Software number: 5.11.661.8, Kernel: 3.4.10-xiaoxiang8002-soul1.0, SMP PREEMPT, Baseband version: 2.03.30.0109, Build number: 5.11.661.8 CL334166
So anybody can help me and tell me if its possible to do it for free, how and where to start or which guide to use?
Thanks for any informations.
// EDIT: okay, so another information - i tried sunshine and it said im already - S-OFF (m7_wls pvt ship s-off rh) and i tried SIMLOCK but it gives me some error "sd init fail" .. so what do i need to do now? im really confused.
// EDIT2: Okay, so it seems like the previous guy (seller) did all of the things, but didnt switch to GSM in settings, lolz. Its working.
So please delete or lock.

Hello,
due to unforeseen circumstances I have to return my G1 to T-Mobile tomorrow so I unrooted from Hero MghtyMax. I flashed a unrooted 1.0 UK DREAIMG.nbh and waited for a OTA update from T-Mobile Germany.
When I got up this morning my G1 asked me to update and I let it do it's thing, however the firmware I have now seems very strange:
Firmware version: 1.6
Baseband version: 62.50S.20.17H_2.22.19.26I
Kernel version: v2.6.29-00479-g3c7df37 [email protected] #19
Build number: DRC83
the only languages I have available are English and Spanish...
Is there any way to get German back in there? I fear I will get problems if the guys boot the phone up and possible try to set it to German but simply can't.
Thanks for help in advance!
AFAIK the SDK comes with many Locales and Languages..You can try searching for that. If your still having problems...pm me
Greetings!
I have a HTC T9295 HD7S device that I would like to try out since i have never used a windows mobile device. However, it appears to need a retail ROM as is continually enters DEMO mode. Is there an easy fix for this? When I say easy, I mean easy for a noob. I am not real good at this stuff. I tried updating thru Zune but I just kept getting an error. Here is the info:
OS version 7.0.7390.0
Firmware revision number: 2250.21.30306.502
Hardware revision number: 0002
Bootloader version: 3.4.2250.0(122650)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1295068
after finally completing this tutorial search for a custom rom in the forums and just flash it
My apologies if this question has been posted already, I have however searched/read here as well as the internet and my eyes are ready to pop out!
I am in Canada on the Bell network with an unlocked HTC One phone purchased from pdaplaza.ca, here are the specs:
HTC One 801s
Model: PN0714000
CID: HTC_622
Version: M7_UL_JB_50
Android ver: 4.1.2
Rom/Software ver: 1.29.708.16
Build: htc_asia_hk/m7/m7:4.1.2
I would just like to get confirmation from anyone else with same phone whether or not they have received the OTA update of Android 4.2.2? From what I've read, the updates have rolled out to Asian markets, UK, Europe etc etc and I don't find anyone from Hong Kong *****ing about "no update" yet, which leads me to believe it has. If so then maybe their is something wrong with my phone. I am contemplating S-OFF, change model ID and CID etc, but would prefer to avoid any potential headaches.
While I'm here, has there been any confirmation on this variant having the 700MHz LTE band and if so being able to unlock and activate? Perhaps having LTE speeds may be worth the potential headaches!
Thanks, any clarification would be greatly appreciated!
Same phone model, same CID and still no update yet. Using the phone in China mainly.

OK thanks Mr. Dutchman, I guess I'll keep waiting a bit longer......one of the downsides of owning an HTC, always freakin' waiting waiting for updates!!!
I have just bought the Same version of htc one just like yours 801s from 2 days ago and yes i received the 4.2.2 ota and updated:crying: and it updated my hboot also to 1.54 which doesnt have s-off till now ... So if you want s-off just s-off now on hboot 1.44 than update ota
But i dont know anything about the lte ?!
Mine is exact the same model as OP's phone, no updates yet. Just checked with and without VPN connection, both say no updates yet. I am not too concerned about it yet but it would be nice if we know when we are going to get what. My phone is working just fine as it is right now but not knowing if and when we get what is not really what I expected from HTC but who know, maybe we skip 4.2.2 entirely? patience I guess.....
An update or roll-out plan + schedule who is getting what and when would be the way to go, not knowing what is going on is not but as I said, my phone is working fine - no issues right now after 2 factory resets due to music player not seeing added music files and Wi-Fi connection problems. It's all good now.
Finally HERE!!!
Happy to report that I just pinged server for update and it is FINALLY here (downloading now). As others have stated, small pre-curser update before main update which is software version: 2.24.708.4 (427.18MB). Please note this is with my stock phone (specs at beginning of post), I have not made any CID etc alterations. Will follow up if anything weird happens.
Thanks for input ya'll.
Got it too just now, all OK and no issues at all. If any issues later on I will follow up here.
Should have started this thread way earlier.....LOL

Are your phones time settings correct, if not try manually changing it then trying again. I have just been reading and others have factory reset their devices to fix the issue but would not go that far, try setting the time/date manually if its wrong.

Doing hours and hours of research and fact digging, I guess either I've read the wrong things, or haven't found the right thing to read, but my question seems simple enough.
My Phone: AT&T LG V40 Thinq
Software Version: V405UA10n
Android Version: 8.1.0
Kernel Version: 4.9.65
Build Number: OPM1.171019.026
Android Security Patch: March 1st, 2019
There appears to be no known root for this device, I actually paid OneClickRoot to root my phone, and received a refund just as fast. In my looking around, I noticed that you have to have an unlocked bootloader to be able to root your phone, now with this being said, the European model: EU LMV405EBW does have the availability of an unlocked bootloader and the availability of root.
I downloaded the kdz of the EU LMV405EBW and before I go jackin everything up, I want to know if it's at all possible or "just a given" that since the phone can be unlocked, will my US AT&T sim card work in the unlocked EU version of the phone...?

AFAIK, i still not find any dll and lgup which compatible with lg v40.. it makes me sad since i still not be able to flash the phone which stuck in december 2018 security patch (HK version). So, we might have to wait until someone comes up with an idea which i doubt they will cause this phone is soo underrated.

I had a similar situation, I had a lm-405ua that I wanted to flash to a TW 405ebw firmware. I used the information from https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v40/how-to/guide-lgup-root-t3967858 and all went fine.

Hi. I'm having the AT&T version (LM-V405UA). Can I cross-flash firmware on this model? If so, what kind of firmware (name, type) should I need to pay attention to? Thanks.

You can read the link above I provided on info regarding cross-flashing using LGUP.
In terms of what you flash, what is the problem you are trying to solve by flashing a different firmware? In my case I wanted a regional firmware that supported voice over wifi with my telco.
