Re-flash stock - OnePlus 3T Questions & Answers

Hi guys,
Can i re flash back to stock whilst still having a unlocked bootloader and root via TWRP. So i mean download the stock image, boot into TWRP erase system and cache then flash stock image?
Thanks in andvance..

Yeah, if you download the full zip around 1.4 to 1.6 GB you can. No need for gapps or anything.

I'm not quite sure on how to relock the bootloader, there might be additional instructions but once you flash the new OOS you will be unrooted.

Ok perfect thanks for that, think you can re-lock boot loader via Oneplus 3 tool kit

Follow this guide, it includes re-locking the bootloader in its steps.

Official Update: Verification failed.

Hi all,
I've unlocked the bootloader on my Nexus One.
I got the message that there was a new froyo update. When I try to install I got this error: "Verficiation failed".
Is there a way to install this new update, like a force on the verficition check or installing the official bootloader again?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Dirk
Do you have a custom recovery?
?
From what I've read you may not want to update, being the main fix is to disable/make it more difficult to root. You may want to for your own reasons, idk. Just putting it out there.
First, thanks for the reply's.

It could be that I have a custom recovery (I've followed a manual, and there was a step to choose for Nexus bootloader or Cyonogenmod bootloader. I've choosed Nexus.
Is there a way to get the official custom recovery back?
I don't have a custom rom.

[Q] (Q)How to install the official 4.2.2 update with root

Ive downloaded the 4.2.2 official update on my HTC one,When I click install now it goes into TWRP and doesnt allow me to update.
Do I need to flash the custom recovery to update?
and if so will I need to flash TWRP later after upgrading or is there another way?
Can I locate the update file on TWRP and install it ?

Search for the stock recovery, download it, flash it with the phone in fsstboot mode.
fastboot flash recovery recoveryfilename
This should be documented in the returning to stock sticky thread. Or one of the other many similar questions here.

[Q] Problem unlock bootloader and root sony xperia t

Before i unlocked the bootloader and rooted the phone without problem, when the update 4.3 was arriving i decided to relock the bootloader and flash a jelly bean firmware for update it by pc companion. Now i decided to unlock again to install omnirom, i flashed 4.1.2 firmware and then i tried to unlock bootlader but when the process is finished and i turned on the phone it doesn't boot, the animation is blocked and the phone will restart. So i flashed again 4.1.2 firmware, it turned on and in the service info --> configuration the phone said that the bootlader is unlocked, at this point i tried to root but i received lines of "impossible" on the terminal, i was be able to do all this one month ago but now i can't understand where is the problem. Someone have any idea??
Thanks in advance and sorry for my english

You have to check on flashtool to wipe everything for a factory reset. In your case I would flash a stock rom, unlock the bootloader via flashtool and then install a custom rom

How do you try to root? Do you want to install a custom rom? If you want to install a custom rom do the following:
1. flash the kernel from the custom rom
2. boot into that kernel and flash the custom rom zip file
3. wipe cache and dalvik
4. flash supersu zip file
If you want to stay stock but with root and are on 4.3:
1. flash the kernel of a custom rom
2. boot into that kernel and flash supersu zip file
3.reflash the stock kernel (excule everything else)

Yes i want to install a custom rom, i tried to root the phone using doomlord easy rooting toolkit to intall later the cwm, i know that if i do like you say i can install custom rom more fast, in less passages, but before i did this passages for root the phone and it worked but now after i unlock bootloader the phone doesn't start and i must flash again a stock rom with flashtool to make it work again, i know that then if i see in the phone i have the same the bootloader unlock but this isn't normal and after this new problem also the root doesnt' work
I hope that you can understand what i mean also if my english is bad
Yes maybe i can stay on 4.3 stock rom but to flash a custom kernel i must unlock the bootloader and we arrive at the same point of before, i'm not sure that the unlock works well

So on 4.1.2 easy rooting doesn't work? Umm, are you sure you're following it step by step? (If I remember correctly there are 2 ways, one for locked and one for unlocked bootloader, you have to use the one for unlocked bootloader)

How do I change the radio and boot loader?

Go easy....
Wanting to flash some of the newer M ROMs.
Requirements are latest radio, boot loader and TWRP
How do I change those?
I'm root and twrp installed. Are there zips to flash in recovery 1st?
Steps or even a video would be HUGE, and thank you for helping.
The information is everywhere. You have to flash the radio/bootloader in fastboot mode. You can't flash them in recovery.

I was in a similar situation, I have MultiRom, and I wanted to preview M out without getting rid of PureNexus. So this is what I did
Download factory image for M
Make sure you have the latest android SDK!!!
extract the factory image
rename bootloader file to bootloader.img; rename radio file to radio.img
connect your device and reboot into bootloader
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash radio radio.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
then reboot your phone, and you are good
if you are uncertain about it, take a look at flash-base.sh, or flash-all.bat, and follow those steps.
most bootloaders and radios ARE available via a flashable zips that can be flashed via twrp, you just have to look for them. otherwise, fastboot is very easy.
I found the zips and flashed them with flashify. How do I know if it took? What is the radio listed under settings?
Settings-about phone-?

Does flashing marshmallow factory image not update the boot loader and radio with it ? Ie flashing marshmallow from NRT toolkit ?

if youre rooted, and dont want to go through the process again, and dont want to lose your data, all you have to do is flash the boot.img and the system.img to update the rom. and then reflash supersu in twrp

Data deleted, twrp up and running, phone unlocked - HELP

I want a clean install on my mate 20.
I have unlocked bootloader and want to install stock rom with root prevs.
My current install process:
I first
flash with twrp
then remove encryption
then wipe cache/dalvik
then format data,
then install romaur v1.x from twrp.
when get into emui i use emui flasher1.1apk to go to the firmware i want.
This process takes to long and what file-format does the firmware need to be in order to install stock rom from twrp??
I love the romaur, but there are some components removed from the rom that i have gotten used to in emui.
The rom is ultra fast tough! (sorry Aur)
So how to makes this work:
TWRP
Format data
clear cache/dalvik
install 9.0.0.xxx (optional rom)
Finish with a clean install and then root with patched_boot.img
Then install magisk ++++
Any ideas? Hope my post makes sense.
Regards, Kenneth, Norway

I guessing there is no way to install stock rom from twrp then??
???
how about using hstool to upgrade to the latest firmware and then unlock bootloader and flash patched magisk to recovery_ramdisk partition.
and if you want twrp you can flash it to ercovery partition
