The Android Open Source Project
this source is pure aosp and some code is modified with some optimization/device/substratum commits.
The Aim is to keep it as close to AOSP as possible,
if you want any features added go to the plenty of other ROMs available.
This is for folks like me who want a clean rom as close to pure aosp as possible.
What is AOSP?
AOSP is Android as Google publish without other modifications. More or less AOSP is the Nexus devices stock rom without gapps.
Anyway to get a working system I added some changes from CodeAurora Forum and CyanogenMod. I added also non-AOSP features for a better user experience ("Clear All" button in Recents) and I'm NOT going to add something other.
What is OMS?
OMS (Overlay Manager Service) which was designed by google and its modded by our developers to include it into AOSP ROMs.In short,OMS is a Theme Engine replacement and it can do wonders!---------------------------------------------------------
Extra features added
- Nightmode
- Button Settings
- Substratum support
- DT2W / DT2S
----------------------------------------------------------
Download
ROM
Gapps(I only test pico)
----------------------------------------------------------
INSTALLATION
- (Optional) Wipe the data & cache (Backup to make sure not to loose data)
- Flash the ROM zip from the Recovery
- (Optional) Flash the GApps to have the Google Applications
- (Optional) Every additional zip you want to flash
- Reboot
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q&A - FAQ
Q : Where can I change the Quick Tiles and Status Bar ?
A : Long press the Settings icon in the notifications drawer.
> You will have access to the SystemUI Tuner from Settings now.
Q : Is the rom pre rooted ?
A : No, you have to install supersu yourself.

Why is it so hard to read and understand for some people.
it was clearly stated in the OP "The Aim is to keep it as close to AOSP as possible,
if you want any features added go to the plenty of other ROMs available.
This is for folks like me who want a clean rom as close to pure aosp as possible."
Plssssssss use it for once!

Awesome ROM
Excellent Performance, battery everything except 2% bug...
Sent from my One Plus 3 using XDA-Developers mobile app ?
Thanks for a new ROM @manhar2108
I have the following questions
1. Does it support xposed framework?
2. Does this have OTA updates?
Right now i am using Mokee ROM and it is very smooth.
I am willing to try this rom, can anyone tell me an easy way to install all my user apps? I dont want to go through the pain of downloading it again from playstore. Can I make a flashable zip? can anyone guide me?

Thanks for development. will it work on helium ?
Quick Review:
Rom is smooth. No lags whatsoever
Wifi, Data, Bluetooth works
Camera works with stock camera app
Video recording works with Google camera app. Set Video settings to 4K. Quality is bit poor though. Surely it will improve over the time.
No Volte
Rest almost everything working
Thanks @chaubeyprateek for an super smooth build
thanks for the great rom and this is for hydrogen only?
thanks...nice
Nice runs smooth but I can't change the brightness at all it's fixed no matter what I do.
edit: tried a reflash but nope still can't change the brightness it's fixed on max brightness.
One question... If Selinux working?
Hydrogen or helium ?

What about slim6? helium really needs a stable and functional source built rom ;p Thank you for your work!
From the experience I tried the source built rom, I think @ffboy2009's cm13 is comparatively more stable for helium, could you please build a slim6 rom? ;p

Is video recording fully working with Google Camera?
Interesting thread rating because this ROM could actually be used compared to the CM14 we have now that is full of apparent issues. I evened out them scores a little.

Honestly there is no true point due to the code has stopped being produced because focus is shifted on Oreo on the ROM development side. I kinda started building when everyone pushed their final updates. Like DU is on its final release, we are on the final release of AOSPA and same goes for many other ROMs.
@Cameron581, sorry but that means that when Paranoid Android updates to android oreo u will continue the developement ?

DOWNLOAD ROM
DOWNLOAD GAPPS
** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery (CWM or TWRP)
0) Install Latest developer build before flashing.
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
8) Flash gapps
9) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk XX.x (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.
KNOWN ISSUES
