K10 Index v1.1 - discontinued - LG K10 Themes, Apps and Mods

I've just created a simple app whose only function is to collect useful (useful to me ) threads into single app. Explanation isn't required about using it. You already know.
I'm not thinking to release the source code, just because of my laziness I can give the source if someone requests indeed.
Download it from attachements.
Changelog:
v1.0
Initial release
v1.1
Fix mismatch on roms and themes tab
Note: Guides hasn't been added yet. I'll add them as soon as possible as well.

[ROM] CyanogenMod experimental builds

Highly experimental stuff:
Release candidates and nightly builds available via Rom-Manager.
Description:
CyanogenMod has nightly builds for Legend since Sept. 30 2010 as it's become an officially supported device. I will provide experimental builds (for public beta testing) here from time to time. No files available for the moment.
Please adhere to a few rules when discussing builds in here.
Read and search before you post.
Do not request help. This is the development board.
Requests for builds, features, fixes or apps to include will be ignored.
Do not report broken or not installable apps from the Market (we can't fix them).
Do not expect bugs to be fixed.
Credits:
Thanks go out to the whole CM team for their great work!
Beer / Coffee:
Additional stuff:
Some people experience GPS issues. To help us debug, flash that verbose module and get a full log via adb:
gps-test.zip (gps.legend.so)
EDIT.
Got it.

thanks for your work
It will be same as Azure 1.0 , but with a Dark Theme , and some bug fixes.
This, Ali Ba, is a really neat idea.

"Nightly builds are daily compiled builds from the source, therefore have the latest features & tweaks, but will are mostly likely to break due being fresh, not fully tested code. "
Great idea, but dangerous! Like, I almost choked on my coffee while starting to laugh over the comments in this thread!!
<irony>But finally we can have a black themed ROM ! * </irony> lol This thread made my day, seriously!
Edit: Don't want to spam the thread with useless comments, sorry bout that, but this was too hilarious!!
Good start.
No, but seriously, dont let the kids make you nervous.
Carry on with the good work.
Poor Ali Ba, wrestling with incompetent fools. But we were all there. I'm still there. But at least I understood what he mean by nightly builds I suppose...
Thanks, ali ba. Would you consider automating the builds, or do the patches you apply to CM for Legend support break frequently?
I've always been curious of why you haven't submitted your patches upstream to CM, but that's for another discussion.
Ah, nightly builds I love em!
I work in a game studio, nightly builds cause me nothing but pain as an animator ;D

Nope, no automated builds planned. Thus inverted commas in "nightly" builds.

I submitted all that were useful enough and not breaking anything else.
The most critical one being the lights patch because CM code is still written as if every device had a trackball RGB light. Will most likely never submit that one.

AGPS Patch - Need some testers for Official support

Well, my goal for the upcoming v2.0 of my aGPS Patch is to bring support to five more devices. This is one of the devices I selected!
I'm looking for some testers to see if the patch will effectively work.
It simply replaces gps.conf in /etc/ to be much better performing.
You can download v1.3 by clicking here.
To install, use Root Explorer or ES File Explorer to copy the new one over. Reboot. Give GPS a try! I recommend GPS Status. If your device uses ClockWork Recovery, you can simply flash the ZIP.
A reference thread can be seen at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1250226.
Also, I'd love for someone to send me the gps.conf currently on their device.
Thank you for assisting me in the determination if this version works.

I'll click that thank button if you do! I'd like to hit up this device next week when I do the official release.
Also, I'm running the same thread for testing on that other device you have in your signature (Xperia). I think it will get a release as well, even though it's been confirmed to work but no notes on improvements have been given.

If you'd like, you can join the beta-testing community. I will release v2.0 to them tomorrow. To do so, just private message me your email.
Please test those devices by Monday if at all possible. I want v2.0 to hit these two devices as soon as it comes out for the rest.

[KANG] CM7.2 w/ FP by ghost_og

*Update 3/6/12*: I probably should have done this awhile ago, but I just wanted to clarify that this was a one-off release. It will not be updated since Nightlies/Weeklies are up and running again. In fact, they will have everything this ROM has plus more!
In trying to build CM7 (w/ FP) from source, acerbix, crnkoj, and I unwittingly built CM7.2 . You can follow along with our adventures here. We found that using the FP branches of the Atrix-Dev-Team's github repos with the new upstream CyanogenMod changes no longer produced a fully working FP build. After merging and copying the necessary code in frameworks/base from the ADT's repo on top of the newer CM7 stuff, it gave us a working 7.2 build.
I thought others may want to try out an updated CM7. This was my first attempt at compiling from source, so there may be bugs. A few changes I've noticed:
- "Holo" lockscreen
- T9 dialer
- Corrected calendar lockscreen widget
- More detailed battery stats (I think).
There are more if you feel like looking through the CM commits since the last official weekly/nightly release.
I'm not a developer. I will not be offering any kind of support beyond the possible update when worthwhile upstream changes are made. However, feel free to ask and answer questions here. I'm sure the other community members will be willing to help one another out.
Please keep in mind that this is a kang and in no way related to the official CM7 build, so please do not use those threads to post issues if you decide to try this.

I think all of the fingerprint changes have been committed today, so you should get them if you pull the source to make your own build. No more splicing files necessary!
EDIT: Oops, I was wrong. Fingerprint branch was updated, but still need to merge those files into the base CM build.
the T9 dialer is great. Looking forward to more updates as more changes are comitted. Good work.

Yeah, those two branches were unrebased and unmaintained for quite a bit I have cleaned up the FP code a bit these days and rebased them, so you can now build from them too.
PS: We'll probably release a new weekly soon, with another long term, supported release (ba2tf-style) following after if no obvious regressions appear.

Hello
first: I want to release this public, but to start I decided to share it with some known guys
I'm into android for a while right now, and tried many things.
A few examples:
theming
build from kitchen
adb
build from source
To do these things, you need to do some steps. If you don't know what they are, or how you should do 'em, then you're in the right place
I teached myself (and my father teached me) some bash scripting.
ATM, I use it for resizing images.
I'll upload a screen tomorrow, together with more detailed specs.
For now, it's an easter egg for you to find out

You might wanna release this in the General Android Development section where more people will be interested, since here there are quite few who are new to developing on android and there are more full-fledged developers who basically dont use such tools... releasing this in the general development section will encourage more newbies who are fairly new to editing apps n stuff or building an environment... this tool is great, but you need to make it public to get the 'actual' response u want...
Anyway, all the best for this tool, sadly now i dont have my pc, jus an old crappy netbook which is jus nuff fo browsing... shall try this in march after my final exams...

OK, done. included some more things.
I think I will be trying to PORT APK MULTI-TOOL to Linux
Should not be too hard. I'll include it in my script when it's done and submit it to the DEV to publish it.
But I want you to make a request, just to keep myself busy!
Is there ANYTHING that takes you too long, seems too hard for you, or something you want to automate?
If not, I'll continue with building from source.

Maybe, automate the setting up of build environment for various versions of android...
So it would be like just start ur tool, go into the menu, select the build environment for the version your gonna build and it all does it by itself...
Downloading/installing packages etc..
I havent tested your tool so dunno if u have already included it in your tool...
Also, you might wanna create a directory of different types of custom roms and their github source codes link... like for example, cyanogenmod, omfgb, omgb, oxygen, aokp, codename android and so on...
So i open your tool, select the source i wanna download and it will do it...
Just my 2 cents...

Wait, this tool isnt just for O1...!
Its should me made for every phone out there... so maybe you should add the official sources and not ported sources... cuz if you start including port sources, it will be too much hassle trying to keep the source links updated, sometimes they change, too many ports for every available android device etc...
Also, u will b flooded with requests to add this source, add that source..
Do it like:
CyanogenMod- full official source from CM, github.com/cyanogenmod
Oxygen- full official source by oxygen team, (i dont remember the links)
AOSP
AOKP
CodeNameAndroid
OMGB
OMFGB
Etc etc
Add the official repo's n not ports...
It will help in keeping the sources more update as the official teams work more on their sources than individual porters do on their own sources...

[WIP] KERNEL Huawei Y6 for Android 7

Hey community.
We started to work at a android 7 kernel for the Huawei Y6 today.
This is a really early state and there is a lot of stuff that needs to be merged.
It is based at the latest msm8909 codaurora source for android 7.
Every help is welcome.
Follow us at: https://github.com/Runner85sx/android_kernel_huawei_msm8909/tree/cm-14.0
Maybe you could add requests that could be merged too.
Have a nice day.
EDIT: DISCONTINUED for now.

Wow, nice to see this is slowly/fast becoming reality!
Time will tell
So, did Huawei answer your mail? :d

No they did not. The last stand is that they won't release the source. So i started to use a new caf msm8909 kernel and started to add all the huawei stuff manually.
EDIT 2: I started to find all files and entries with huawei_ and hw_ inside the working cm12.1 kernel and started to add them to the android 7 kernel. It is a lot of copy and paste and also a lot of text editing.
EDIT 3: It seems to be easier to add the missing content from android 7 to a working huawei kernel.
But i need a break for some time. I had an accident so i first need my health back.

EDIT 3: It seems to be easier to add the missing content from android 7 to a working huawei kernel.
But i need a break for some time. I had an accident so i first need my health back.
