Guys is there any root mod that will enable the capacitive buttons to be always on when the screen on under Oxygen OS?
Currently i am using an app called KBC - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.deskangel.kblight , however surely there has to be a hack or a mod to enable this permanently...
Help ?

I just know that this feature needs a kernel modification, so you can use it only with patched kernels, not stock
hello
iam looking for application turn on the screen by remapping the hard capacitive keys. not the sound rocker or the power buttons.
any idea please?
i tried most of applications and xposed modules but not work, also all the application using the sensor, turn on the screen by swapping only which make the screen on all the time whenever the sensor moved front of any thing.
also application with turn on by taping the sensor is ok for me.
could you suggest guys?
thanks in advance for all

you need a custom kernel for that to work, check here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one/#kernels
Please only flash things appropriate for your phone and ROM.

Does the Droid Turbo has some kind of options to disable the capacitive buttons and enable the on screen navbar instead? Like the OnePlus One let's you do from the settings without rooting?
If not, would any of you know if the capacitive buttons are temporarily disabled while in Immersive Mode? (example, watching videos on youtube)

It does not have the option to disable the capacitive buttons and enable a navbar, nor does it disable the buttons while in immersive mode.

The app Lux (paid version) will do what you want! I use it to turn off the capacitive buttoms when watching movies or just don't want to be distracted by the buttons (I already know where they are!). Great app. Worth every penny! Should be part of any phone that uses capacitive buttons.
There has to be a way to do this, but my google-fu has failed me. I just rooted my turbo and would love to download an xposed module or something that lets me toggle using the hardware capacitive buttons and using an on screen navbar. I know i can do it by editing the files, but ideally I want a toggle in the quick settings I can turn on when I am watching a long video or something and want to be able to grip the phone by its chin without exiting the app.
Anyone know an xposed module or root app that can make this possible?
Thanks!
Use lux auto brightness!
I'd like an app that auto turned off the button back lighting when an app is in immersive mode(such as full screen video) and there is no screen input or button presses for 10 seconds or so. Basically it should behave the same way it would on a phone with onscreen buttons and how they hide after a specified amount of time and video goes to full screen. This is really something Motorola should have added by default.

I do! but all the does is turn off the backlight, I want the keys to actually not work so I can rest my thumb over them, like on the OnePlus One.
That is not possible mate.
Hi guys,
First of all, I do not use Gestures and its not activated. So please don't tell me you can do a V on lockscreen, I know already.
I used to have crDroid on my previous OP3T device. You could activate the flashlight on long press of the power button when the screen was off.
Is there any way of adding such a feature to OxygenOS? The device is rooted if it can help. Maybe an available package on F-Droid would allow such customization?
Alternatively, maybe a lockscreen shortcut button on bottom left along with the camera button?
Any way to quickly activate the flashlight with minimal handling of the phone/screen.
Thx
i am looking for built in feature too, but you can use this for now :
