Hi
i have a Xiaomi mi5 on stock global rom 8.1.2.0 . I am with BT in the UK and it works fine. I am on holiday in Ibiza and I cannot connect to any networks at all. I tried manually selecting network and all the listed networks say 'forbidden'.
My contract allows roaming so I am assuming it has to be a setting or issue with the phone. Can anyone help?
Thank you

Hi,
I recently had a factory reset, since my Xiaomi MI 3W was not responding! I use wifi most of the time, I have activated 3G data pack from Airtel (Service Provider), MIUI version - MIUI 6.3.9.0 (KXDMIBL) | Stable , the problem that am facing now is, when I select 3G only under Preferred Network Type (Mobile Networks), usually I had selected 3G only before factory reset & it was working fine, but now when I select 3G only there is no signal/service(emergency calls only), when I select 2G only or Prefer 3G, I get the service/signal, but I am unable to browse 3G data! If anyone has a solution, please let me know, since I have no clue of the customer support in India/Bangalore.
Thanks
Lognathan
Hi, I am having the exact same problem. And I'm also on airtel. When I insert this sim into anyother phone the 3g is working in that phone. I have been using this phone from past 1 year and i didn't have any probs until now. And the worst part is the customer service centre and the service provider haven't got a clue apart from throwing the problem on each other rather than finding a solution!!

Hello. Were you able to resolve the issue?
I have recently moved to canada and just bought the phone before moving here. Back in India, I had checked if my phone would work in canada and it showed it would.
After coming here, I tried a few network service providers, some didn't work, while for some networks like kudoo and fido, I was able to connect to internet (through phone data), but was unable to make call.
I tried flashing aosp rom and lineage for redmi 4x on my phone, but none of them seem to solve the issue with calling.
I also tried searching for the solution on internet, but couldn't find anything.
Your response would be really appreciated, I strongly believe that the phone should work, I am just missing something.
India and Canada have different bandwitdth . See the pic below .

So why is it that the data is working with a few service provider, but calling isn't?
You should ask in redmi 4x sectuon of miui forum
Try
*#*#4636#*#*
Set it to global
And try
I recently purchased the global version of the Mi 9T Pro and I am running stock MIUI Global 10.3.2 with US T-Mobile as my provider. OOTB the phone does not have a WiFi calling option. Since this is useful to me when traveling outside the US or in areas where I have WiFi but poor cell reception, I searched for a way to activate WiFi calling on this phone. I searched the XDA sub forum for the phone, but did not find any relevant threads (so apologies if this has been posted before). I did find a useful thread started by XDA member lightcao in the Xiaomi Mi 9 sub forum:
https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink/topic?url=https%3A%2F%2Fforum%2Exda-developers%2Ecom%2Fshowthread%2Ephp%3Ft%3D3917887&share_tid=3917887&share_fid=3793&share_type=t&link_source=app
Based on the suggestions in this thread and other information, I did the following:
1. Ensured that my T-Mobile account had an e911 address listed.
2. Enabled WiFi calling option using the dialer code provided in the thread and activated WiFi calling under the sim card settings (new option appeared).
3. Updated the T-Mobile APN with the APN types as suggested. At this point WiFi calling worked, but only in airplane mode with WiFi enabled. This was because after enabling WiFi calling, the Network Preferences defaulted to WiFi Only with no apparent option to change it (grayed out).
4. Installed QuickShortcutMaker (sika524) from the Play Store. With this app I could access the Network Preferences setting and change it to WiFi Preferred. Although the grayed out setting in the phone is still showing WiFi Only, phone is now working based on WiFi Preferred and I can see the WiFi calling icon in my notification bar whenever I have a WiFi connection.
Although this is specific to US T-Mobile, in the referenced thread people with other providers and in other countries suggest it is working for them as well, as long as the provider supports WiFi calling. Hope this helps others interested in WiFi calling on their Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro.
I used the same method a while ago in mi9t pro to enable wifi calling on O2 uk network but i didnt need to do all the other stuff i just entred the dialer codes and it started working. I think this is the case with most miui based roms because it was the same with my Mi6.
Hello
I have an Mi8 , Was working perfectly before i opened it.
I recently changed Battery and since then , the phone doesn't wants to register on cellular network. It seems to find them , but when i select them , no way he deals with. ( When searching on LTE)

Anyone had the same issue?

Have a Pixel 7 with Stock ROM. I have massive connection problems. There is a Telekom SIM inside and an O2 E-SIM, it constantly happens that my phone has no network connection, no matter what network, that the Internet offline, etc.
Especially when switching WLAN to the 5G network.
Does anyone know these problems and have maybe a solution?

There seems to be an ongoing problem with T-mobile and MVNOs. I don't know much about it except that 5G and Pixels are involved. Until the problem gets sorted out a temporary fix may be to set 'Preferred network type' to LTE/4G for one or both SIMs. Also try disabling 'Mobile data always active' in Developer options.
