I'm trying to get auto input upon NFC event to click the start command on the wo mic app menu of (wo mic app). The options for what to click are just "start, settings, mute, drop down menu".
1. event: nfc tag
2. task edit:
1. launch app
(app wo mic)
2. wait
1 seconds
3. autoinput action
configuration type: text value: start action: click...x,y coordinates
text: "start"
I've done this via easy setup and it seems to have gotten everything correct, will launch app but not select "start"
its frustrating, shouldn't I have that "wait"command?
Well, the way I see it, either the coordinates are wrong (and the Start button doesn't get clicked) or you need a longer wait.
tried that, any other ideas?
also cant upload pictures yet so thats a big limit on this

Does anyone know how to emulate the "esc" key on a wizard?
I have a DOS based legacy app at work, and while I have been able to get logmein to work fine on my 8125 to control everything else I need to be able to use this one program and I cannot unless I can use "esc" to go backwards. Any ideas?
maybe u can assign a hard button to the esc with this one?
http://ae.inc.ru/aekmaplayout.php
Here's the solution...
PQzII -- http://nicque.com/pqz/PQzII.htm
Under settings go to the "Code" tab, allows you to set IN code whatever you want and set OUT code to be ESC.
I'm a big fan of this FREEWARE! Also allows setting a key for CTL and/or ALT, better caps/num lock indicator (off, on, lock), not to mention key launch of apps, settings, phone numbers, task bar, symbol window ...
NOTE: be sure to install the Wizard-specific version! Read the install directions!
if you're using pocket quake, just use "recorder" key (press it long)
vladimyr, pqzii is not pocket quake...if that is what u meant...

Wow! Thanks for the tip. that is a great program. I just started playing with it but it seems that it could replace Smartskey. Of course, even though there is a GUI the documentation is a little sketchy so it took me a little trial and error but I got it to do what I needed...
I would highly recommend this to anyone that likes customizing their phone.
I have two questions that I could not seem to resolve on their web site
1. Where do you find the .bmp files it looks for to use as an icon? I am getting a white square which works okay since I will only use it now and again.
2. In the program they reference a CTRL and ALT keys that I am pretty sure are hard keys on the keyboard since you can assign them but I am not sure which actual keys they are. Any ideas?
Hiya,
I find it really annoying to go all the way to comm manager and switch bluetooth on when I jump in my car. (And face it, keeping bluetooth on drains battery like crazy)
I'm looking for a simple program that let's me switch between bluetooth "on" and "off" with a single touch. And it needs to be on the today screen or next to the windows/start button.
Anyone know such a program? Tnx in advance
kind regards,
Mark
I use this freeware for XPERIA here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=439613
Works well for TouchPro.
I use bt toggle. You can put a shortcut in your start menu and you're two taps away from turning on/off bluetooth. Alternitavely, you can create a voice tag. It's a tiny program and it works great.

Haven't tried the others, but I stopped with this one. It's very cool, opens nothing and is literally one single press to turn it on.
I use SBSH PhoneWeaver, then I have big buttons for Phone, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPRS connection on/off right on the home screen (I don't use TF3D).
Found AEBPlus. It works great. Assigned pressing "hang up button" 3 times to switch bluetooth on/off. http://ae.inc.ru/aebplus.php And it doesn't use up that much memory.
i used to have the simple shortcuts to simple programs in my program tab
but if you download the diamond action screen it has shortcuts to texts, email, notes, tasks, wifi, bluetooth and others and its real simple i just put it as softkey on main menu

I try it is very good for every thing
Bluetooth on off
Wi Fi on of
Phone reboot , off , screen off
all buttons you have you can make it single press , double , triple , long
So you have for each button 4 function.
Thank you man for telling about this
I just have the HTC Action screen assigned to the left softkey. Pretty easy and fast
This exefile can do lot of things, mainly toggle between off/discoverable(all apps toggles only between on/off). It's enough just to write some commandline parameters into shortcut, while parameter "bsd" is for toggle off/discoverable.
Another thing I made,is the basehue changer while bluetooth is active,so while is off,all it's black, when any other state is,basehue changes to blue. It polls each second to get the state. It's a mortscript file, you can copy into the startup folder.
Enjoy.
is it possible to give the search hardware key another function?
for example an app?
or i would love to have the on/off screen rotation function on it.
there is an app in the market that allows this but it is limited. it can only program one app to it, but you can make it any app you want. I have it programmed to the screenshot app, so i can take screenshots anytime i want without having to go back to homescreen.
the app is called "Button Shortcut". Depending on the app you want, there may be specific search shortcut apps in the market. I have one called "Call Button" and this programs the search key to also bring up the dialer to make calls since our nexus does not have a physical button for dial.
yeah that app is cool, but it only replaces the long press function of the search key.
is it also possible to replace the normal click?

Nope because the normal search screen can be handled by the active app.
I think in Cyanogenmod 7 you finally can do that.

in cm7, Settings > CyanogenMod Settings > Input.
You can set long press to custom application for the home and menu key
In addition, for the "search key" you can set custom app for both short & long key press.
For long press on Search button you can also use " LaunchKey " ... you can set any App you want or ... create a Menu of your favorite apps to lunch .

i've tried this and it works. and if my memory is correct you can change long press and quick press to 2 different functions
Do yourself a favor and get Tasker. Binding the search button to pretty much anything you'd want is just one of about a billion things you can do with it. If you don't want to spend the money, you can try an app called AutomateIt. I haven't used that one as much as Tasker, but it has similar functionality.
Some of my Tasker tasks are:
Automatically turn on WiFi when I'm in my apartment
Turn off bluetooth when I disconnect my headset
Automatically turn on the GPS when I open Google Maps
Automatically start Pandora when I plug headphones in
You basically give it a trigger (app launching, button pressed, incoming call, etc) and a set of actions to perform when that trigger is hit.
Context: AutoInput is a great plug-in, but it does not work on all devices. You can send a link to a dynamic map with your location to a contact through text. (ROOT required)
REQUIREMENTS:
1. GLYMPSE
2. ROOT
Foreplay:
1. Launch Glympse and send your location to anyone you want. Choose the time you want the map to show your location.
2. Go to Settings\ Dev Options and check Pointer Location ( some coordinates will appear over the status bar)
3. Go back to Glympse , long- press and write down the Xd and Yd numbers of the coordinates for each step:
a) Long-press the menu icon and write down the numbers.
b)Long-press History and write down the numbers.
c) Do the same for the resend button of the contact you want.
d) Do the same for the send icon at the top right.
Task
1.Open Task and name it Send a Glymse to 'contact'.
2. Say \ Sending your location to "contact".
3.Launch App\ Glympse.
4.Run shell \ Command: input tap 'Xda Yda' (these are the numbers you wrote down in a). Check use root.
5 Wait 1 sec
6. Run hell\ Command: input tap 'Xdb Ydb' . Use root.
6. Wait 1 sec.
7. Run shell \ Command: input tap' Xdc Ydc'. Use root.
8. Wait 1 sec.
9. Run shell \ Command: input tap 'Xdd Ydd'. Use root.
Make sure you wrote everything right.
Possible triggers for this task:
1. AutoVoice command
2. Text, Whatsapp or any messenger app ( using Touchless Chat plug-in) from a specific contact.
3. Auto Location ( geofence or other trigger)
4. Anything you can figure out.
Using the same logic, you can mess with any app. In other thread we will see how to automatically turn on your TV and cast your YouTube playlist without AutoInput.
This will allow you to use the Convenience key as Mute Switch it will mute all your sounds (notification, ringer and alarms)
Prerequisites
Sound Mode Tasker Plugin https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nick.mowen.soundplugin
Button Mapper https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=flar2.homebutton
MuteAll.apk = attached to this thread (This is just a Tasker task I wrote and exported it as an app)
Steps
1) First download all the files and install them
2) Go to Settings -> Convenience Key -> Hit "Clear" , then go home
3) Open Sound Mode Plugin and click Setup Sound Profiles, be sure to copy exactly what I did (case sensitive) or else it wont work
make 2 profiles
silent
unsilent
Note: its up to you if you want to silent all 3 volumes or just a specific one just adjust the slider
4) Open Button Maper application and click Add Buttons
5) Click the + (Plus) Icon and hit the convenience key, it should now detect the convenience key
6) Customize the key, I have mine set to "Single Tap" then on top select "Applications" and look for MuteAll
7) Exit the app and try your convenience key, there might be a few seconds delay sometimes but it will work
You should see "Silent Mode" or "Normal Mode" flash on your screen when its activated / deactivated
Enjoy!
