Hi, I would like to know if it's possible to add the 900Mhz 3G band and how. My carrier only has installed that band in 3G, so I need it. thanks in advance
I'd sure like to hear this is possible because I would be glad to enable Band 17 on my H811. There is a post about enabling unused frequencies in the main LG G4 forum titled "Guide: Enabling LTE Bands" (see https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/guide-enabling-lte-bands-t3137818), but the poster was using an H815. I spent the time to read the whole post, and while some H811 posters pop up, there are no real confirmed H811 success stories that I noted. Furthermore, some of the hidden codes you need to type up to pull up certain menus do not work on my H811 probably because it's running LOS13 instead of stock. Anyway, if you are daring enough to try it with your H811, let us know how it goes!

Instead of 277634#*#, use *#546368#*811# and you will see the Field Test menu, but I could not find a cracked cdmatool, (I need a cracked one because I live in Cuba and I don't have access to internet at home, neither a credit card) so I used something like this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/guide-unlock-aditional-bands-qualcomm-t2877031.
After that I can see the network, but when I try to connect, it says: "Unable to connect to this network at this time...."
Let me know when you try it again with this code. Tell me if you see in *#546368#*811#, Field Test, Modem Settings, Network Mode the WCDMA 900 band

Hmmm, well, I tried this new code (many times...), and neither does it work for me. As I mentioned, I am not running a stock rom, but Lineage OS 13 so I suspect that makes all the difference. Nonetheless, if somebody tests this on an H811, and it works, I'd definitely flash back to a stock rom, make the fix, and then flash back to Lineage OS 13.

The H811 definitely has 3G capability, not only 2G and 4G capability. If you look at the LG specs page for the H811 (see http://www.lg.com/us/cell-phones/lg-H811-Metallic-Gray-g4), it says the phone has "UMTS: Band 2, 4 (Roaming Band: 1,5)", which are for 3G service.

english only... its a rule of XDA.. like i said earlier i beleive its not on h811.. i would like tha too as 3g uses less battery then 4G.
but i was told it was removed by tmobile.

But it must be a way to enable 3G 900Mhz band. I can see the WCDMA 900 band in FieldText, Modem Settings, Network Mode, but when i select it, a "FAIL" dialog shows off. As i said before, i have the latest marshmallow update from T-Mobile for LG G4 H811, the "20v" from may 2017, and it's not rooted, i don't know if that's the problem.

Right now I am almost giving up on this, try this https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/guide-enabling-lte-bands-t3137818, and tell me if it work for you. Or find out Wich are the frequencies of your carrier.. Note its quad Band so it will work only on 850/900/1900 and 2100

I'm from Argentina and my company is Personal... and my problem is using data (3g, 2g) conection! i don't have conection!!
Using CM10 roms i don't have any problem.. i tried flashing different basebands and rils but without success!! if anybody can help me i'll be so grateful!!!

First of all: please, avoid posting questions on the development forum. The Q&A forum is there for a reason, you know?
About your issue, it's probably related to your current BB/RIL. Do you remember which BB your device had when 3G worked? I'm also using ICS (V30A), my carrier is Movistar (Venezuela) and got no problems with 3G. I'm using the latest BB (the one bundled with ICS V30A) and haven't changed RIL.
Also, did you check your APN settings (Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile networks > Access Point Names)? Make sure it's the right one, I had to configure mine manually since it was missing.

Check that you have any APN where DrummerMuppet indicated, if you don't have any then create one according to your carrier company, take a look at this.

Fijate que tengas algun APN donde indico DrummerMuppet, si no tienes ninguno entonces crea uno de acuerdo a los datos de tu compañia, fijate aqui. (Si efectivamente no tienes ninguno y creandolo con los datos del link no te funciona, quizas hayan nuevos valores, busca nuevamente en internet o consigue a alguien mas con un android y ves que datos tiene)

It's my first post and i'm kinda disappointed because i bought and HTC ONE M8 sprint version but i didn't read about it before to buy it and, wow, it doesn't work in Colombia, first of all because it's sim locked (ok, i believe i can try to unlock it according XDA Forums but, second problem.. In colombia, carriers use AWS LTE band (band 4) but this ONE version doesn't have this band enabled. I wonder, bands are software locked or, actually, sprint version isn't capable of using AWS bands at all.
If answer is they are software blocked, could i unblock them installing an international rom and to be able to use my phone in here? or, i have to return phone and to ask money refund. Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, etc., versions have different hardware? Really thank you for your help and sorry for my english.

En colombia, los operadores usan la banda LTE AWS (banda 4) pero esta versión de ONE no tienen habilitada esta banda. Me pregunto, las bandas vienen bloquedas por software o, realmente, la versión SPRINT no es capaz de usar la banda AWS en lo absoluto.
Si la respuesta es que están bloqueadas por software, podría desbloquearlas instalando una rom internacional y así poder usar mi teléfono aquí? o, tengo que regresar el teléfono y pedir el reembolso del dinero. Las versiones Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, tienen hardware diferentes? Realmente agradezco sus respuestas.

I've been having a weird issue with my brazilian XT1097 (Stock 5.1) for the last couple of days. Until yesterday, Thursday 10, my cell phone worked perfectly with HSPA+, no issues at all. Then I started noticing that even though there was a H+ symbol by the full signal strength, accessing apps that would need an internet connection would say "No internet connection". Weird thing is, I can't turn the Data Connection OFF or even switch to WiFi (it hangs saying "Turning WiFi on") until I reboot my phone.
I've tried my SIM card in another phone and it works perfectly, and also I've done a Factory Reset and reverted back to Stock 5.0, but nothing seems to fix the issue. I haven't found any post with a similar issue either. Does anyone know any possible solution I could try to fix this problem? By the way, forcing the phone to use 2G only leaves me with a Data Connection and without this "freezing" issue.

To provide more info, I'm currently running 5.1 (upgraded OTA), after having downgraded to 5.0 from 5.1 Soak version. The 5.1 OTA popped up in my phone over than 2 weeks ago.

Also the rules says that you have to post first in English and if you want post on your own language you can do it below the original message.
También las reglas dicen que tienes que publicar primero en ingles y si quieres publicar en tu propio idioma puedes hacerlo debajo del mensaje original.
Thanks for the help. I solved the issue by flashing the modem from the KitKat image over Lollipop 5.1 and wiping cache from Recovery. So does it mean that 5.1's modem has bugs?

You ever get a server unreachable message? I'm on att and I've reset network settings, checked apn settings, took out Sim card put back in and nothing works! Any advice would be amazing!!!! And thank you ahead!

JUST FOR G960U models
You can install on any G960u hardware, cause are same components, the only problem its with bands but it have to work on latinamerica too, if you have some problem you can roll back to your stock rom, usually newest android roms not have the bootloader bloqued, you shouldn´t problem on dowgrade. // no deberias de tener problemas para instalarla en cualquier telefono G960u, tienen los mismos componentes, el unico problema es a veces con las bandas de la red, pero no deberias de tener problemas en america latina, si llegases a tener un problema siempre puedes volver a la rom de fabrica de tu dispositivo, solo checa en que version estas actualmente y descargala porque no vas a poder downgradear a una version inferior a la que tenias, generalmente las versiones mas recientes de un sistema no tienen el bootloader bloquedo, no deberias tener problemas para dowgradear.

Que bueno que hables español Por qué mi inglés está un poco oxidado. Entiendo que cada variante es distinta. Pero capaz había compatibilidad entre versiones. Teóricamente la 9600 es muy similar a la 960u, pero eso no significa que sean compatibles. Eso quería saber. Imagínate que yo vengo de un nexus, que ni había versiones ni diferencias
I got stuck on installing system updates when I used this on Sprint S9 do I need to add all of the files on odin?
My AT&T S9 says I'm up to date, however, Feb 2019 is obviously not up to date. I'm feeling pretty stupid that I can't find a stock 960U firmware anywhere on the Internet anything newer than Jan 2019.
