Hi guys, I was halfway through rooting my z3c however it seems like I did something wrong.
I extracted "EliteKernelV3-Z3c.zip" from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/development/kernel-elitekernel-v1-t3427549
Code:
22/047/2017 22:47:03 - INFO - Device Status: FASTBOOT mode

I then flashed the .img file using fastboot. I flashed it with the original name and also as system.img
Now the device is hanging on the title screen, I am able to reset it with Power/Vol+ but it wont go into the OS or into TWRP
Any ideas?
Flashed stock FW and fixed it, But still dont know how to root it (BL Unlocked)
Try this rooting method https://forum.xda-developers.com/z3...-mm-575-lb-t3418714/post72154197#post72154197
Thanks, I have managed to root the device. I installed CarbonROM however I have lost access to TWRP on boot now. Does the rom install write a new kernel/recovery?

I was using my device unlocked for a long time, but I decided to relock, since I was not planning to install custom rom after the official 4.3 release.
But yesterday I was bored and I tried to unlock again, but I did not succeed.
Flashtool gives me the following error:

But then I tried to unlock manually with fastboot.exe doing this command:
fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0x**************

And apparently worked, I was able to flash a custom kernel
But when I restarted the phone my device was entering on flash mode automatically. Not even the sony logo was appearing.
So I re-flashed the stock rom, and now it's ok. But I want to know why I am having this problem.
Anyone knows?

About the drivers: Everything is installed ok. I am using a Windows 8 Pro and I have a Windows 7 on VMWare Player. On both I have the same problems.
I found the solution on this thread!
It's really simple actually
For those who have the same problem
Go to the folder: \Flashtool\custom\mydevices\<YOURDEVICESERIALNUMBER>\ulcode.txt
IF there's no folder inside mydevices, create one with the S/N of your XZ.
and IF there's no ulcode.txt inside <YOURDEVICESERIALNUMBER> folder, just create this file.
Now, inside the ulcode.txt, put your unlock bootloader key and save.
That's it! Go to flashtool again and try to unlock your device. It will work!
By mistake,i have deleted recovery partition in my X-SP C5302.:crying:
Plz help, how can i install new recovery from phone only.I dont have my pc temporary.:crying:
Youll need a PC unless you're on UBL and can fastboot flash a kernel with recovery included.
didn't work!!

I tried to flash "SP_DooMLoRD_AdvStkKer nel_FW-201_v03.elf" kernel via fastboot with "fastboot flash boot SP_DooMLoRD_AdvStkKer nel_FW-201_v03.elf" command.
but in comand shell,"sending 'boot' (11486 KB)..." is written till more than 10 minutes and nothing happend...
after that i tried via flashtool (with fastboot mod) also... it didn't work also..I can't get what is the problem!!!!
What to do know?:crying:
If you have access to a pc with flashtool try the LB recoveries. Not ideal but might work.
Other than that no idea as im on LBL.

You can try to return stowk configuration by flashing via flashboot methode a stock ftf file, and rerrot yout phone with towelroot.
Also, you can flash stock kernel with flashboot methode, not fastboot.
You can try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=54740391

try this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=54740391 .. thanx to @j0a0
But u can try my method also.(I had run that script by Root Browser.)
step 1. simply download the zip file from http://d-h.st/B1t .
step 2. extract it to desktop and copy all the files from "common" folder and paste it to the "Data/local/tmp".
step 3. now run the "step1.sh"file from root browser and DONE..
Hi
i flashed wrong CWM on my xperia z1 and my phone won't turn on , no led and no recharge
The phone vibrate when I press the power button and volume up
no flash mode ,no fast mode and no response
>> My pc doesn't recognize my phone
** sorry for my bad english **
Try PC Companion repair mode to revive your phone. But first put for charging for few hours using genuine charger to make sure that battery has enough juice.
If your Pc wouldn't recognise the phone, install PC Companion on another PC and try again.
Good luck!
Thanks @vvoytex
Now : The charger is responding and led is red ,but flash-tool or PC Companion still doesn't recognize my phone
Any help please .
i recharged my phone about 20 hours but led is red and no battary icon or any thing on screen and my pc doesn't recognize my phone

You can try replacing the battery. That should be long enough to recover the battery if it is possible, but maybe give it another day?

It's unclear from the log, but it looks like you're actually able to talk to an Android 4.2.2 install there? Or is that a byproduct of something else?
The phone itself is sealed, yes, but it's possible (and fairly straightforward) to open the phone and replace the battery. However, this will void your warranty and, unless you are very careful and thorough during re-assembly, may compromise the waterproofness of the device.

I had the same issue with my PC. Both Flash Tool and PC Companion installed and non of them couldn't recognise my phone. But when I took another laptop and put PC companion on it, miraculously phone has been detected so I was able to flash firmware via PC companion / repair mode. So my advice again; try another PC without Flashtool, just PC Companion installed :good:
Make sure that when you use PC Companion, flashtool is not open, not running or minimized in the background - and vice versa.
Thank all , i found a solution to my problem
Solution : (Z Ultra and Z1 HARD BRICK RECOVERY) .
your phone didn't get into hard brick
just hold volume up and power untill you hear two strong vibrate then connect your phone to pc in flashmod or fastboot
my phone was in original software

I've softbricked your device by trying to install a UBL ROM.
Just use FlashTool, boot into FastBoot (connect data cable to computer USB port, press Vol.Up and at the same time insert the cable into your device) and flash stock ROM.

Many Thanks,

I'm planning on selling my Xperia T, but need to reinstall stock firmware (preferably UK) on it and preferably overwrite TWRP with the original recovery.
I have tried every conceivable shortcut to get the phone into flashmode. Held vol down while inserting USB (that takes it into fastboot). Held the vol down and power button until the phone vibrates once and also until it vibrates three times but also get taken into fastboot mode. Perhaps my volume button is broken . Flashtool obviously won't respond.
Whatever the cause, I need to get a stock firmware on the phone. If there's a stock firmware in .zip format I can flash through TWRP, or maybe in fastboot? I'm also looking for stock recovery (this may help with getting phone into flashmode) but worried that means phone won't boot at all if I don't have a stock ROM installed (currently Lineage 14.1).
Edit: apologies for the duplicate posts, not sure what happened...
I factory reset, installed the TWRP app and flashed the latest revision of the recovery (3.1.1.0). I managed to boot into flashmode from here... Once. Since then I have the same problem, only being able to boot into fastboot mode.
Is there any way to access flashmode through adb / fastboot / some other method?
I've had some luck since my previous post. I've been able to boot in to flashmode a number of times. I have two additional problems now:
1) Emma, the official Sony flash tool, does not automatically detect the lt30p. Instead it asks to choose from a list of models. The lt30p and most older Xperia models aren't on there, so I can't go down the official route.
2) Flashtool hangs at Reading Device Information. After an hour and a half, it attempts to flash anyway and fails within a second. I'll post the log here but don't think it'll be much use.
If anybody can help - with a zip file I can flash from TWRP for example?

Success!
Flashmode, for some reason, only booted when plugging in the phone and holding both the camera and volume down button.
The "Error - null" was solved by another post on Z5 forum, using an older version fixed the problem and the phone flashed successfully. On a stock ROM now.
