Huawei P10 Leica Dual Camera Watermark - Huawei P10 Questions & Answers

So I've found that all the photos I've taken with my P10 have a watermark in the bottom right that says "Huawei P10 Leica Dual Camera" I've tried swiping from right to left and changing the watermark settings, as well as looking through the camera settings, but I can't seem to find an option that turns it off. I saw another thread for the P9 that says you need to root your phone to disable this from appearing - is that correct? If so I'm pretty annoyed, even though this phone is freaking awesome, it seems a bit intrusive to root the phone just to disable this option.
Example:

Ther no setting for water mark on mine, you just have to select other camera mode and the water mark is disabled, i'm usually on photo mode or night shot.

Hmm... Strange, I am on photo mode.... I open the camera, swipe right, and the photo icon is highlighted...

You don't have this option?

I just realised I also have that, but it's turned off.

Strangely, no, I don't have that option. However I noticed that some of the photos I took when I first had the phone didn't have that watermark. So I swiped left to right to bring up the camera settings, scrolled to the bottom and clicked restore defaults, and tested. Now that watermark is gone! I have no idea what I did to get it there in the first place as that was before I'd even played with the watermark function at all, but restoring the camera defaults did it for me. Thanks for all your help guys, really appreciate you taking the time to offer suggestions.

I want to enable this option but I don't know how. Any help, please? Thank you!

It's in settings of the camera. Open the camera and choose settings. Then choose Watermark.

Full screen mode stopped working

Any idea why the full screen mode suddenly stopped working? Is there some hidden setting for that what Bixby changed etc. etc. when using a ton of voice commands :victory:
I have enabled full screen mode in "settings->display->full screen" and all of my programs are allowed to use full screen, but none of them do. And if I disable eg. Chrome and then launch Chrome it asks whether I want to run it in full screen or not. I press "run in full screen" but the navigation bar still persist

P20 Pro CLT-L29 flashlight issue

Good Day
I think I have a problem with P20 Pro CLT-L29 flashlight. I can see just one of the LEDs is working regardless of the camera settings chosen or if I use it as a torch. When I put a dark glass filter over the flashlight is clearly visible that just the right ( warm ) LED is on. The left part of the flashlight remains off. Any ideas how to test both LEDs separately? My concern is that it may be a hardware issue.
Thank you.
Hi,
In my P20 Pro, when using flashlight, only right LED is in use (looking on the back of the phone). But when I'm taking photo, both LEDs are used (but only during the last flash - taking photo; not during focusing).

Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately it doesn't apply to my phone. For both Photo and Pro modes during the last flash the warm LED just burns brighter.
I went to a phone store couple of days ago. The brand new P20 Pro for sale there was acting exactly like the same, so it seems that it's not an isolated case flash failure. I'm wondering if this camera was really build as 2 tone flashlight in a first place.
Honestly, I'm a bit disappointed as this model was announced as "The Camera Phone" when it came on the market.
Mystery unveiled.
I wrote to Huawei support and they got back to me today.
CLT-L29 has a single flash LED only. The information posted on phone specs sites
The 40mp and 8mp cameras are next to each other, with the single 20mp monochrome camera on its own, with a dual LED flash, and then LEICA branding.
turned to be wrong.
The white left side of the flash is not a second LED but a RGB Color Temperature Sensor according to Huawei support.
This is what I received back from them:
" Flash + RGB Color Temperature Sensor (*RGB Color temperature sensor is used to ensure the photo effect by adjusting the white balance and exposure degree according to the scene) "
Oh, that's interesting. I have never thought about that. I found some teardown photos on iFixIt and there is only one LED + sensor.

Yep, the plastic is deceiving. Looks just like dual LED flash.
Anyway. I'm happy that I don't need to claim warranty.

Lost the wide angle camera button

I'm not sure if this was a side effect of the MIUI 11 update, but I've now lost the button to enable the wide angle camera.
Previously, I could see it near the shooting options, when the Photo mode was selected, but not anymore.
I also can't find the option on the camera settings.
Anyone with the same issue?
on the screen it has dots either side of the x1, it's the left hand one of those 3 dots, the x1, x2 etc...the left hand one 0.6 ultra wide
this was in normal photo mode

That's the thing, nothing is showing, not even the zoom.

i've tried all combo's to get rid of the zoom, the only thing that did was swapping it to macro...have you tried to restore to default in the settings?
There's something wrong since it's not the expected interface.
There should be a "live picture" icon just before the "star" icon.
Probably a bootleg rom or apk.
@mods Close the thread please.
Finally managed to get the icon, had to clear all data for the Camera App. That was very weird ?
Thanks everyone for the replies!

i'm running stock and have no "Live Picture"
I cleared data, finally got the point 6 wide, which is supposed to be wide.
However, it is not nearly as wide as before the update. I no longer can get a picture of the typical house when standing in front. Sides are now cut off. Placebo, for those that think this is wide angle, anymore.

Question Gallery app missing face editing features as on previous One UI?

Hi. Just noticed on my S21 Ultra I don't have the 'face' icon in my gallery app after you click edit (the pencil icon). On One UI 2 it used to have a face icon at the bottom where if you selected it, you could remove blemishes, red eye, etc - I think it was called a 'spot fixer'. Has this been removed now on one UI 3.1? It was only launched as an update in April 2020 from doing a Google on it. Have attached a pic showing it next to the T icon on the toolbar.

In photo editing mode, just keep on sliding from left to right on the option bar and you will find the face icon with all options including spot remover (blemish).

Thanks for the reply. I definitely don't have this on my S21, do you? From left to right in photo editing mode I have crop, filters, brightness/contract etc adjustments, emoji, drawing tool, and finally text option - i have seen examples (like the one I posted in my original message) the face icon after the text option, but this doesn't appear on mine. So, I guess is it just mine or does anyone else's S21 have it missing too?
Just to add a friend of mine has a Note 10 on One UI 3 and the face icon is not there either, but it was on One UI 2, so it looks as if this has been removed (for some reason) unless anyone can say any different.
have it on mine. obviously make sure there is a recognizable face in the pic, otherwise it doesnt show.

Yeah you're right, just tried taking a new selfie and its there, but it doesn't show on certain other pics (even if the face is clearly visible, and in fact the face is the the main part of the photo).... but ok, I appreciate your help.
is someone actually using the photo editor from the initial software? omg, I usually download some apps to make my photos look beautiful

How to deactivate bubbles notification on MIUI 12.5

I have finally got the last MIUI 12.5 update alongside Android 11. Everything was fine except the fact that I cannot remove the bubble notifications.
I have followed all the workaround online but it seems that MIUI rom is slight difference and I cannot find this option:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_share": "Share",

}
someone has fixed this?
Download activity launcher, search (with the search button) for notifications, then under the settings app entry, tap on notifications, it will open the settings page.
Xiaomi apparently forgot to enable the page in the settings. There are a couple more hidden settings as well, such as interpolated frames on videos and something with more vivid/hdr like recording of videos.

this is interesting: where can I check these video settings?
anyway I have managed to sort with the bubbles stuff: there is written "manage" under the bubble, so tiny that was impossible to spot. Anyway Xiaomi have to implement the settings because if some are hide then are useless

Just go through the settings app section, I don't remember which setting you need to open, plus I think it only works on the xiaomi video/gallery apps.

hold on, you are telling me to go to settings app section, but earlier you were mentioning to download activity launcher. Is this a third party app? I wouldn't install additional apps but, in case I have to, which app is? I cannot find on Play Store.
Whenever any notification comes, there is More option and.notifications from that app can be directly managed for future

I'm talking about activity launcher, go to the settings app section inside the activity launcher app and open all subsections one by one till you find it.
Here's the app.
ehi, anyway I think I sorted: there is a "manage" option under the bubble which is basically invisible but is there. once you click on that command you can remove bubbles and check other settings.
