Hi Friends, Yesterday i rooted my Honor 4x ( che1-L04v100R001C900B180 ) and tried install TWRP recovery via flashify. after that phone is currently in boot loop and restarting again and again . I cannot go to the recovery, but have access to fastboot. But the bootloader is locked. I will be unbelievably grateful if anybody can help me.
Try "fastboot continue" in fastboot &rescue mode.
If still in bootloop Request bootloader unlock key from hihonor web chat by giving IMEI & SN. Inform about bootloop if they ask for product id.
After unlocking try flashing Recovery uploaded by Neeraj in https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-4x/help/requesting-che1-l04-b180-kitkat-t3529941 by fastboot.
remember, for a bootloader locked device, you should not do anything like flashing twrp or rooting without unlocking bootloader.
but right now, you can do two things,
you can fast boot the official firmware..that is extract update.app, you will find the boot.img , system, img , data.img , and flash through fastboot one by one, but that's a bit risky
and you can do unlock the bootloader, flash twrp through fast boot (remember , not to do with flashify again) and flash any custom rom of your choice.
good luck

Yes. They should work. Before that flash the stock recovery through fast boot. Then place the dload folder with update.ap package in the root of the SD card . Power off the smartphone then press volume up+volume down+power down button simultaneously which will lead to the flashing to the ROM

IMHO, this won't work as the bootloader is not unlocked. All you can do is just flash the recovery AFAIK.

(Che1-L04, Android 6.0, EMUI 4.1, C675B520, India) Download
1) Create a folder 'dload' in root directory of your sdcard, copy this firmware to this 'dload' folder.
2) Press Vol Up + Vol Down + Power button for 10-20 seconds, then release Power button but keep pressing Vol up + Vol Down.
Solved!!! I also face same issue.Try with EDL mode. Download corresponding firmware extract it. you see the dload folder copy the folder to sd card. power off mobile and press all the 3keys(power,Volume up,Volume down). It boot into Emergency downloadmode. Firmware link: http://www.stechguide.com/download-honor-4x-marshmallow-firmware/

Sigh... You already open up a thread about this, you should just continue on that one instead of opening up another one. Also if you dont want to brick or damage your phone. Please please please do some research before hand.
Firstly, you have not unlocked your bootloader, chances are, you probably haven enable OEM unlock and USB debugging and thirdly, if you looked through the guide section of this forum, you will see that everything you need to know is there.
To make your life simpler, go to the below link, download the tool and watch the video.

1) Download your fone firmware
2) Use huawei firmware extractor to extract there files

3) Copy these files to your fastboot command folder
4) Now use these commands in the same pattern
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img
Hope it will revive your fone.

What do you mean "it doesn't work"? How did you install TWRP?
I meant what I said, after flashing, rebooting into recovery has no effect, it boots normally. I know that I'm doing it wrong for now but looking for the right method.
BTW, just found that for being as up-to-date as possible the only way seems to flash a .33 firmware first. I already miss my ZR, everything was easier...

Yes, in fact, it was a problem that I wasn't expecting. I was trying to boot into recovery via reboot menu or app, but it's not actually working. Simply try VolDown+power while the device is off. You can release when it vibrates.

Can´t get twrp to work on z5c
Hi guys!
I just bought a new Z5C and already saved TA, unlocked bootloader and flashed twrp (twice - 3.0.2 with rootkernel, this 3.1.1 with fastboot). All on Android 5.1.1 (32.0.A.6.200) stock rom. Now the phone is working and rooted with SuperSU.
Problem:
I can only start the old 3.0.2 twrp inside the kernel with pressing volume up when led is yellow but I can´t start 3.1.1 with power + volume down. I don´t get a purple led and most of times it just starts Android. Sometimes it gets stuck on Sony bootscreen (guess this happens when I did correct button combination but twrp fails to start?).
Any idea where the problem is?

You need to flash stock firmware to be able to get rid of the "only official binary" message, then try rooting again.

This case you have to reflash stock firmware and wait 7 days or more for kg state to become normal in download mode.
Then try flashing TWRP again.
There are threads for the kg state issue.
Read this thread.

Hey peeps,
Its been about a 7-8 years since i last tinkered with an android phone so im totally out the loop.
My one plus 6t recently went up in flames due to the latest update and I had to wipe it.
I've been wanting to root my phone and potentially install an alternate android rom as i've lost all my confidence in one plus.
I've managed to unlock the bootloader but i'm stuck with twrp and magisk.
Everytime I run twrp in the boot loader I get a qualcomm crash dump, I was told this was due to my phone being one android 11.
Totally lost right now so i little direction would be totally appreciated.
Thanks.
You need flash stable.img from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...os11-open-beta-2-3-and-stable-latest.4316563/

I'm not running custom rom on my OP6t or OP6 so I can't confirm what img works.
That being said, if you're running custom ROM on your OP6t try this one https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...recovery-project-v3-1-0.4198277/post-85713789

I see.. Don't flash Stable.img if you're on Oxygen 11.1.1.1 you would need 11.1.1.1 magisk patched img as @s.seila said but if you're on Oxygen 11 then use Stable.img.

So I flashed the magisk patched img and now its boot looping, I get to the screen that says the boot loader is unlocked and it loops back to the android splash screen.
