Hey guys,
I'm running oos beta and it appears the status bar toggle for locking hardware button is gone. I googled and can't find a module or setting that I'm missing. Anybody aware of a module or developer option to get it back?
It's been renamed to Gaming Do Not Disturb Mode

Hi everyone,
Sorry, me again. Sound fixed Applied the wifi utility mentioned in a thread on here and low and behold, the sound stays. Bizarre.
Also fixed my webOS issues, thanks for the tips.
One more little thing.
I am running the 10.1-20131210-snapshot-vpn-tenderloin ROM
Now, I always (I am sure) on previous builds used to have the status/notification bar (with the time, wifi signal and notifications) visibile at the top when on the home screen.
It currently hides when the home screen is shown and appears when an app opens.
I have made various changes under "System>Status Bar", "System>Quick Settings Panel" and "System>Notification Drawer" but nothing seems to have an effect on this
Can anyone help?
I like to be able to swipe the quick settings and notifications from the home screen but currently cannot
Cheers
Andy

Are you using the Stock Home Launcher or a third party one? Are you using an Expanded Desktop option?

I suggest you to try this: Ultimate Dynamic Navbar
Does anyone know any easy way I can toggle the following settings all at once?
-turn off hardware navigation keys
-turn on software navigation keys
-turn off lock screen or (preferably) don't require PIN/fingerprint to unlock
I ask because I often find myself having to talk my parents/friends through using my phone while I'm driving, and they don't know my PIN and can't see the navigation buttons at the bottom of my phone because I have the backlight turned off.
On my OPO, which was not-encrypted, I was content with simply disabling the PIN requirement by using a CM profile, but on my OP3T that option is grayed out (because it's encrypted, right?). I would also just use 2 QS tiles to enable the NavBar and disable the hardware keys.
Anyone know a more efficient method?

Did you find a good solution for this? I would really like to be able to switch between these modes with a quick toggle somehow. Any suggestions?

I haven't found anything. If there are terminal commands to enable or disable any of these settings maybe you could do it with Tasker.
I might look into that, but it seems like more work than I'm interested in.

You can do adb commands to hide the status bar. You can also auto hide the navigation bar by double tapping the circle on the left side of it.

I'm using Gboard and it's been working fine with it. It does not trip Knox either.

You can get zacharee's systemuituner apk on the store and turn it on and off with a touch of a radio button.

Not that I know of (although I did it using an extremely cheap 8" windows 10 tablet, I think it's a chuwi hi8 pro, I usually use it to run bias FX)
I have a pixel 2 XL and hate how the status and nav bar turn red when battery saving mode kicks on. Can someone make a module to disable the color change and/or make the module so we can enter something into terminal to determine at what battery percentage the power saving mode kicks in? I heard this is exactly what you can do in Android P. It'd be cool to bring it to Oreo.
That's all I have. If any of you smart devs agree and like the idea please help! Thanks!

Hello.
Maybe that i could be possible, maybe not.
Send your "/system/build.prop" file here, we will look at it and come back to say if it's possible or not.
Use Gravity Box

Hi,
you may use Gravity Box to do that.

I noted with sadness that my brother's Pixel 3 XL has in developer settings the option to disable the notch and slide the status bar down and we don't in our developer settings. Yes, he has a larger forehead, but then his notch is twice what ours is.
Wondering if there's a way to achieve this same result with a modification of some kind? It's been 4 years since I last messed with mods or roms or even unlocking the bootloader, etc. But I really hate that half of my status icons and notifications are behind a stupid cutout.
Would love suggestions.
