I recently purchased an Octa Core Eincar stereo. It ran an update 6 days after installing it and now the screen is blank and the buttons are not illuminated. The unit does still pair with my phone, so I believe the problem is with a bad update. Does anyone have an full image of the factory install?

I know it's not supported now, but does anyone know if it will be in the future.
Just got the phone and loving it, except for the not being able to add wireless profiles.
hope so, also manual dns settings
It doesn't sound very positive, I've read several MS blogs where they claim they are doing this for "our" safety and that nobody should be using hidden SSID's.
I can't tell you how many enterprise companies hide their wireless networks. I hope MS gets their head out of their A**
Hidden WiFi App on the Marketplace..
Hidden Wifi app in the market place:
I got it installed, but there is an error as you can see below:
The problem with the app I am having is that it tells me:
This application requires the latest Wi-Fi software. Please update your phone to the latest system software.
I am currently on No-do, so I don't know what else to do.

yes i have nodo
This is strange I see it happening with other people.
I went and removed my wireless connection, I thought my phone could be stuck on WiFi configuration, reconnected again, and its still working, no idea why its happening with you guys, my HD7 is unbranded, maybe this is the reason.
Also I thought of posting my Phone info, I've been seeing different versions with other people, maybe there is a different version between mine and yours.
BTW I have NoDo installed from Zune, and I didn't get the HTC update.
My Phone Info:
OS Version: 7.0.7390.0
Firmware revision number: 2250.09.16901.401
Hardware revision number: 0002
Radio software version: 5.54.09.21_22.33b.50.10U
Radio hardware version: A.102.0.D4
Bootloader version: 1.69.2250.0(117833)
Chip SOC version: 2.2.5.

You have newer Firmware and Radio software than me and I have Nodo installed:
Yours :
Firmware revision number: 2250.09.16901.401
Radio software version: 5.54.09.21_22.33b.50.10U
Mine:
Firmware revision number: 2250.09.12001.531
Radio software version: 5.51.09.11a_22.31.50.09U
So this might be a big part of the problem.
I'm having the same problem where it tells me I need to update my wi-fi software but I'm using a HD7 with NoDo, very frustrating.
Cannot find the app in marketplace, is it only released in USA?
Hi, My situation is the following:
I had a Galaxy S with the following stats:
MODEL: GT-I9000T
PDA: I9000TUBJG5
PHONE: I9000TUBJG7
CSC: I9000TUUBJG4
FIRMWARE VERSION : 2.1-update1
Baseband version I9000TUBJG7
Kernel version: 2.6.29 latin.umts(at)samsung #2
Build number: ECLAIR.UBJG5
I got impatient, and try to flash it to 2.2, after a lot of missteps and messed up stuff i got it working. Everything was fine until it started to crash and the wifi just stopped working a couple weeks after the change.
So, I want to go back to my stock status(like fresh out of the box), and then, with my new "experience" I'll try different things.
How can I do that? The main problem should be the firmware, I do have access to an other phone with the original stats(bought 2 that day) would that help?

My data connection drops randomly and the only fix is to reboot the phone. Only happened since updating to Mango. My sister's Omnia is doing the same. Someone else on the board here is having the same issue too.
OS 7.10.7720.68
FW 0222.11.8.5
HW 3.15.0.4
Radio SW 2424.11.7.2
Radio HW 0.0.0.800
Bootloader 5.8.1.9
Chip SOC 0.36.2.0
Massively annoying
Mine is working fine with a forced Mango on all fronts but my FW is different to yours, it is 2424.11.8.5. All other details are same as yours. I saw somewhere where you can download and install the very latest drivers , may be an idea to try that.

Hmm, i've always had FW revisions starting with 0222.
7.0.7004.0 - 0222.10.9.12
7.0.7390.0 - 0222.10.10.6
7.0.7392.0 - 0222.10.10.6
SAMSUNG UPDATE - 0222.11.2.2
7.10.7720.68 - 0222.11.8.5
I guess it's just a thing with my carrier as i've never forced anything....
Me too. Cellular data has sometimes been dropping since i bought my phone. I think it is not a firmware problem. According to me it is only because of our Telephone operators

I agree... in the UK it only seems to be happening on Orange
I haven't noticed that issue on vodafone-it omnia 7..for example. With that operator Internet seems to be even faster than with my operator. It is not a "huge issue" so i don't care about that a lot. However i think this kind of issue happens only using 3G+ connection, because while using EDGE my connection has never dropped.
Hey All,
I've recently been given a Galaxy Gear as a gift/freebie as they upgraded to the Apple Watch (UK Version, I'm in the USA), and me being me, figured I'd do what I do with all my phones, see if I can root, custom rom, etc.
I've done the research, learning about Android Vs Tizen and also the null_23 rom (which looks very appealing to be honest).
So, rooting and customizing most of phones, didn't think this would be a problem, but for the life of me, I can't get moving forwards on this, so before I brick it (as I've only had it 24 hours) I figured I'd turn to the knowledgeable
I have tried using ADB, I can boot it into download and recovery using that, I've tried using Odin 3.09 to install 'null_03_TWRP2.7.tar.md5' recovery, ready for the 'null_ 23.zip' rom, but, the only way into 'download' mode is from ADB, if I try the 'rebooting' then 6 power button presses and choose 'download' it just reboots into the gear, not download. So I then I read up somewhere that it needed to be rooted, so I tried to use 'Impactor_0.9.14.zip' to do that, even following the instructions, didn't seem to work. All this didn't allow the 'recovery' image to take and be used.
I've tried to connect with the two versions of Kies, I've tried 'Unified_Android_Toolkit_v1.4.4.exe' I've tried 'Wondershare MobileGo ' I've tried different USB ports. Once I've had it on the screen providing me with the code (looks like a MAC ID) asking me to trust it, etc. When it goes into sleep mode, I have to pull the usb and reconnect to dectect it again. I have enabled debug mode (going into the system and hitting software version, I think it was, 10 times)
I believe I've done everything I should be doing, but it doesn't want to work, and I don't want to brick it.
The details on the system info are as follows. (from Unified_Android_Toolkit_v1.4.4)

Hello Everyone, I try to update via normal update from About phone but it is showing "Your phone is updated" and also smart switch showing as well, please help me i can't able to find much updates related to my S6 SM-G920 A as i have my Phone information below:
Android Version: 5.0.2
Baseband Version: G920AUCU2AOF4
Build Number: LRX22G.G920AUCU2AOF4
Please guide me is it possible to update from 5.0.2 to any above ? If yes than how? is it possible that i install any other framewares version like : G920AUCU3BO12, G920AUCU3BOJ7 on it?
Yes, you can flash via odin. But, I'm not sure if you can go straight to something like BOJ7 or if there is something in between you install like BO12 (though I'm not sure if that update has ever been uploaded here)
