Hi.
I've bought huawei p8 lite ALE-21 a year ago. It came with android 5.0.1, and i've update it to 6.0 from a link i've found here in xda forums.
I've rooted it aswell , i have SU and TWRP.
Now i've been googling, and i've found the "dload" files, to go from 6.0 to 5.0 , and then to 6.0 again ( huawei web site ) in order to fix the "balong".
But when i try to update using my sdcard , the twrp screen appears. And i cant do anything.
How can i do it ?

You need to have the Huawei recovery...

The Huawei recovery is "universal" to all android versions ? Because i've googled it , and it only appears to 5.0. But my android is 6.0.
Any website to look for it ?

You can extract it from update.app with Huawei extractor.
Any of it? Can I extract from the android 6.0 I've downloaded from Huawei website?

first through recovery twrp make deep full format, copy the version B170 in microSD, vol up + volume down + power, so the installation B170
Finally copy dload folder firmware first post C432B524, always in microSD, after updater,local update in the device.
So you put only rollback and question is where is the update.zip to 6.0?

HI my friend.
I have a P8 lite with ALE-L21C185B130 firmware version and I tried to change my phone location using a method was for Honor 4C exactly!!
After that boot animation of my phone turned to "HONOR" (that method was for Honor 4C exactly), But I forgot to take a backup of my original "oeminfo" file.
So anybody that has Rooted P8 lite with "L21C185B120" or "L21C185B130" firmware please take a copy of "oeminfo" file and upload it for me using this guide:
1. go to ES File Explorer and enable Root Explorer in left side menu> tools
2. go to this path: device/ dev/ block/ platform/ hi_mci.0/ by-nam
3. copy "oeminfo" file from above path (don't change or delete any thing!)
4. Please upload it for me. I need it orgently!

Download firmware you are using or were using and use huawei update extractor to extract boot.img

Yes I have successfully updated my P9 to Nougat but with B320. I used the HiSuite App together with Huawei Updater
Update to B361
I finally managed to update my P9 EVA-L19C636B190 to Nougat. On the Huawei Updater I used this link http:*//*update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1256/g104/v73917/f1/ (take the * in between out of the link). After the download the verification was fine and now I am running EMUI 5.0 without any issue.

Can you perhaps help? My Huawei P8 Lite 2017 PRA-LA01 is rooted. I can't upgrade to Oreo although the OTA download completed. After the download it takes me to TWRP. I go to the data/update folder to do it manually, but it fails with an ERROR: 9. Is there a way to do this manually. I've done MANY searches on the internet and all the links to the norecovery file is missing. Do I need to flash a new version of TWRP?

No but it is compatible on basically the newer Huawei phones including our P8 Lite 2017.

For OTA updates stock recovery is necessary. TWRP doesn't work.

In the folder what is the stock recovery that need to flash over twrp (in oreo) before try to ota update? This "recovery_ramdis.img"?
Pd. Need to unroot too before ota update or its fine just flashing stock recovery?

recovery_ramdis.img is correct
Flash with adb fastboot:
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk recovery_ramdis.img
That's all you have to do. You don't need an unroot.

It is basically Huawei recovery without any checks being made when you want to flash something that is not approved by Huawei.
im trying to track this down for android 7. appreciate a link if anyone has one
