I am hoping there is a solution to this. I have the Tab S2 8" Wi-Fi version(SM-T713). I have noticed that games start or okay but after a few minutes they start running extremely slow. Factory reset didn't fix this. Any ideas?
What game(s)?
Moreover, is Optimize battery usage off for the game(s) in question?

Every time I install advanced config my battery starts draining many times faster than normal. My battery will drain completely in twelve hours even if I don't use the phone at all. Normally my phone can go three days and not totally drain even with mild usage. I love the options of this program and want to be able to use it, but this is really frustrating. I have went through and checked every item that can be checked to help improve battery life and it doesn't help. I even hard reset my device and installed only advanced config to make sure it wasn't a conflict with another program. Still the same thing.
It doesn't even help to uninstall the program. Once I install advanced config the only way to stop the super fast battery drain problem is to hard reset my device.
Has anyone else had this problem? If so, is there a fix?
I got a problem: my battery is draining REALLY fast, like 20% every 2 hours.
When I check battery history (*#64... code) it says that: int other usage : time without standby/sleeping (dunno how it's in English > got a Dutch version (Wordt Uitgevoerd)) is at 100%.
Partial wakelock: Maps is also at near 100%
Gallery is not present.
I've tried rebooting, but this keeps happening...
What is causing this?
Firmware: 2.2 JPA
Loook in Setting of the phone...There have many options for On/Off forderground and backgraund process and aplications...

What kind of option am I looking for?
I tried a factory restore, and it still drains with hardly any apps installed (just Gem miner, Fruit slicer, Battery indicator). Battery history doesn't show ANY app being run. Just shows that 'Other Usage > Being run (wordt uitgevoerd)' keeps increasing when I turn it off.
Please help, this device is becoming useless to me...
OK this isn't a guide yet. Its actually a question.
What are your tips for checking and fixing battery drain and overheat problems?
If there is interest then I'll make one up in the General forum from information posted here. Or maybe someone else will do it and save me the trouble. Either way, many Note users need help with a comprehensive process to track down the cause of overheat and battery drain.
Just setting a high temp profile is not enough! Your phone should never overheat in a normal safe working environment.
Flash back to Stock ....
... complicated
1. Flash and test different kernels in case of battery drain. Some are easier on your battery than the others.
2. Use Titanium Backup to freeze or uninstall crapware. This list is a useful guide as to what can/can't be removed from your system: https://spreadsheets.google.com/spr...SENVeXlqUm5vV0E&single=true&gid=0&output=html
3. Set Brightness to low value, disable autobrightness
4. Disable or scale down vibration and haptic feedback
5. Don't let your accounts sync automatically
6. Set screen timeout to 15 seconds
7. Disable fast dormancy (dial *#9900# and do it from there)
8. Don't keep your WiFi/Packet Data on all the time
9. Disable location services via wireless networks - are you travelling that fast that you need those?
10. GPS is heavy on the battery, therefore use it sparingly
[FiX] Galaxy Note ICS OVERHEATING PROBLEM SOLVED
[FiX] Galaxy Note ICS OVERHEATING PROBLEM SOLVED:
1 Go to settings- developer options - UNCHECK "Dont keep activities"
2 Use go launcher ex (or some other good launcher...) instead of default launcher
3 Instal from google play android assistant and use it to clean cache and stop most of background process
4 install from google play "cpu master free" (MUST HAVE ROOTED PHONE) and set 1000 MHz for MAXIMUM, and check box "set on boot"
5 Turn off gps, bluetooth, sinc, WiFi, Packet Data and all other stuff that you dont use at moment...
P.S. DO NOT expect that your phone will be cold as ice after you do this...
ICS is build that you can use max. out of dual core, and galaxy note is pretty slim and back is made out of plastic...All that increase heating problem...
Hope i helped! =D

Try to set off animation
go to settings > sound & display settings > Animations > No animation
You ll save some % of battery.
In my time owning a windows phone 8 handset, I have had to do a few hard resets. I have noticed straight after a hard reset clean of apps, standby time can be around 1 day and xx hours. After reinstalling all my apps and maybe a day or so of use, standby drops to 8-10 hours.
Why is this? Could it be a rogue app which is significantly draining the battery in the background? Does this huge standby drop happen to others?
Apps that update in the background (including, ironically enough, things like battery monitors) do have a non-trivial impact on battery life. The bigger problem is like the configuration of email and social network accounts for automatic synching, though.
You can, as always, check the Settings -> Applications -> Background Tasks to see what runs in the background...
