Please help..
Today the phone suddenly froze and i had to pull off the battery to restart.
the phone stuck on bootlogo.
i tried again but failed so i tried to restore previous cwm backup..
it showed an error that "make_extf4fs failed on /dev/stl13" while trying to clean data.
i tried to explicitly to wipe data but that too failed.
i tried to flash other roms but they failed too..
then i flash cm9 rc1 maclaw it booted but showed "Encryption Unsuccessful" page. where a reset phone was the only option available.
i read about the problem in other forums and concluded that flashing official firmware via odin could solve the problem.
even after flashing "S5830DDKQ8_S5830ODDKQ7_INU" via odin.
its still on the bootloop of samsung logo.
and now on stock recovery it says "e:format_volume rfs format failed on /dev/stl13"
Please help me out..
:crying:
What cwm version have you got?

Whenever you have those types of problems, flash the 5 package zips of stock firmware. That usually fixes those software issues.

Lmao boy that **** does a COMPLETE WIPE of the phone unlike the 1 package. If that can't fix any problems on the Ace, you're completely screwed.

Hello. I have the same problem with my lg l7 p705. I press the "restore factory..." but the process was too long so i took my battery out. I tried to turn it on, lg logo flash, kitkat logo flash, and i'm stuck here. I tried waiting for it but after an hour it was still stuck on the kitkat logo. I REALLY NEED SOME HELP. PLEASE. by the way, my phone is rooted. It was originally on jelly bean and i change it to kitkat.
Did u tried philz touch?
wipe data/factory reset failed | MMX A110 .
I have tried for the wipe data/factory reset option, but got stuck in progress of formatting. The scree is hanged with showing Android formatting animation. So I have power off the phone by removing the battery. But whenever i am rebooting to Recovery mode, it switches to formatting animation and continues for infinite time. When report normally it gets hanged to MMX boot screen.
Please Help me out of this situation. I am in big trouble.
Hey guys, new to the forum but been lurking around and trying different roms, it's my first time using TWRP and I want to flash back to stock. It seems like every time I try to flash it's telling me it's failed.

I just did that and did a full wipe. It's still saying failed, I can't seem to find out what's the problem. Only having issue flashing to stock but everything else seems to be fine.
good luck with that. best thing I can suggest is try some different button combos. try a different order of operations some how. in twrp, full wipe, system reset, then reboot back into recovery, another wipe /reset and then flash. that's the extent of my knowledge. you said you redownloaded the stock files to flash...maybe find a different place to download it from, could have downloaded a bad file twice?
Are you using the one from the wiki? I just tried it with TWRP 2.5.0.0 and it worked fine.

Yeah that's where I downloaded the file and I'm also using TWRP v2.5.0.0
I don't really know how to take a screenshot in recovery but I'll type in what it says.

You are probably going to have to use Odin to flash stock. It is in the wiki.
If you do need it, I posted a copy of Odin for our phone in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2307264
You should probably try to Odin flash TWRP first and see if that fixes it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=41869680&postcount=13
Warning: Odin can damage your phone if used improperly. I will walk you through if you need it.

I've flashed using Odin before a while ago when my phone was bricked. I'll have to read this over again and give it a shot. I'll let you know if I need help, thank you so much for your time meek! I appreciate it, I'll let you know how it goes after flashing TWRP with Odin.
Reset your TWRP settings, also, try downloading with a different browser and try under linux. Some browsers and anti-virus have issues with android files and delete them without warning.
Thank you so much for your help guys! I got it to work by flashing using Odin. I'm having a little bit of an issue though, every time my phone dies it starts having problems with the external memory. Like for example, my phone dies and I try to open my camera it'll tell me "not enough space blah blah" and when I try to change the settings through the camera, it just force closes. Not only for the camera, also other apps that need external storage like waze. It won't let me use the GPS because there's no memory. Mind you, I have a 16gb sd card in the phone. Any fix for this situation?
Using AOIP Linaro ROM btw. I couldn't post at the original thread because of my low post count so I'm hoping I get some help here.
Thanks you guys for the help! I really appreciate it.
I tried to flash PAC ROM to my Atrix HD but I ran into several major bumps in the road. I rooted my phone with motochopper, unlocked the bootloader with motopocalypse, and flashed CWM onto it. I then did several backups with the Super Backup application and two nandroid backups via CWM. I then, after wiping the cache and doing a factory reset, flashed PAC ROM and GAPPS onto the phone (had the .zip files on the SD Card). The phone would then boot up with the PAC ROM boot animations but after booting up I was taken to a black screen with errors that kept popping up even after pressing OK about setup wizard and GAPPS not working along with a few more that I can not remember, but the Navigation Bar still there and I could go to the setting via the Status Bar. I then went back to CWM to try to go stock again but both of the backups that I had made wouldn't work because the /data wouldn't recover, however I decided to go ahead and boot up normally anyway because I had made the Super Backups previously. I then boot up, sign back into Google and try to install the Super Backup application but kept receiving the "-24" error. I tried several ways I found on this site to try to be able to install it again, none of which worked. So now I don't have a way to restore my backups even though they're still on my SD card. Can someone please help, and I will happily re explain something clearer if necessary.

I was able to get PAC ROM up and running and I tried to make a nandroid backup of it via CWM but while the backup was taking place one of the lines said "No .android_secure found. Skipping backup of applications on external storage." Is this a problem? I have not installed GAPPS yet because I kept getting errors saying that it had failed when I booted up the ROM before I could successfully get it running.

I have researched your problem, looks like it is okay. what i think is trying to say that it isn't backing up downloaded apps as i believe so.

It might be because of the zip file, try checking the md5 checksum to make sure it downloaded properly. Or try flashing another rom so see if that one installs. I've had similar issues with bad downloads before.

Ah that has happened to me a couple times. I think it's an aroma problem, though I thought it was fixed a long time ago. Usually for me all I have to do is switch to TWRP instead of using CWM. But if you have already tried both recoveries and nothing has worked then I guess you should try installing another kernel to make sure that you can indeed install kernels with aroma installer. I'm not sure what else to say besides try other kernels and recoveries. Sometimes you may have to flash over and over again till it works.

bad idea will make the boot slower in TWRP and plus its runnning t-mobile lastest update so you should be good!
I hope you are confused. You can write the numbers of the md5 of the zip you uploaded on the first page, not adding one for twrp to check, but so that people can still use a checker before they try to install it and say you messed something up when it was just a bad download
