Hi XDA community,
i hope this is not a duplicate thread but i could not find one that could help me (if i did miss it shame on me...).
As stated in the title i did switch from a xiaomi.eu global ROM to LineageOS 14.1 nightly yesterday.
When i was running the miui ROM, LTE was working perfectly fine and I do know for sure that my carrier offers it and also the bands supported by the Mi 5 are used in my country.
However after the switch to LinageOS LTE wont work (other networks like 3G run perfectly).
A friend of mine has a Mi 5s running LineageOS where LTE works fine, so i think i probably have some wrong settings.
I did try to change network preference in settings but it did not help.
Hope you guys have some suggestions for me.
Thanks in advance & best regards
Technical information (hope i did not forget meaningful stuff):
Android Version: 7.1.2
LineageOS version 14.1-20170627-NIGHTLY-gemini
Solved...
Thanks everbody that might've wanted to help but somehow it works now.
Might be the proof that the core IT troubleshooting technique of rebooting always is a hint.
Thx and regards!

Hi all !
I had read lot of links here at xda-developers.com and htcmania.com about non-official and not fullworking roms, and finally I'm lost.
So the last way is to do the question ... someone knows some *stable* lineageOS firmware for the ALE-L21 ?
I'm looking for lineageOS rom because I want to say bye bye to google and to have a little bit more privacy than now, so other roms are not on my target.
Thanks in advance
+1
I would also like to know answer to the exactly the same question! At first hand if possible!
Apparently there is no stable rom based on lineageos for our phone.
They all have stuff broken/not working.
At least that's what I see but maybe I'm wrong and didn't look in the right place...
I've been using this as a daily driver: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p8lite/development/rom-t3606568
The only problem I've had with it is that it is occasionally laggy (although I believe this may be the fault of the device) and video recording isn't working.
Hi guys,
can anybody here report back if there's a well working ROM that supports Android Auto perfectly? I don't mean the app itself, that should work on every ROM. But the connection to a car's infotainment and the external screen functionality.
I was using MIUI (xiaomi.eu in particular) for most of the time now, and with the recent versions, Android Auto started having serious issues. Car screen freezing, phone locking up completely and such things. Disabling HW overlays and not using AOD helps, but some issues remain.
I thought I'd give some AOSP ROMs a try (I want to go AOSP anyways, just stuck with MIUI until there were some stable ROMs to choose from). Sadly, none of the two AOSP ROMs (Pixel Experience and DerpFest) I've tried works flawlessly with Android Auto -> Similar issues of the phone locking up. Is this a general problem?
If not, could somebody recommend me a ROM that works perfectly with Android Auto?
Thanks in advance!
Wrong thread sorry

Please tell me what you want to have changed or implemented, the I would ask the developers if it could be possible.

I don't quite understand, how is this related to the topic?
Latest xiaomi.eu stable and android auto work like a charm, no issues, no need to play around with the hw overlays

That's good to know, thanks for reporting in. I'd prefer an AOSP ROM if I am honest, but if there is no other way, I'll definitely go xiaomi.eu stable.
Just to report back on this question, I have tried a few more ROMs and I am going with Syberia. Although it's not on Android Q yet, it works perfectly and I have not yet encountered any bugs. Android Auto works flawlessly.
Glad you found one that works. I'm in the same boat. I've asked about this and over XDA, other forums and I just get ignored. I'm running an Umidigi F1 Play and can't find a single AOSP-based ROM that works with Android Auto on this phone. Stock works fine but I don't want to be a year behind in security updates just do I can run Android Auto. Currently running Lineage 17 on this phone and have been waiting for months for a fix to this issue.
Quick update, Paranoid Android Quartz Alpha 2 is on Android 10 and works fine!

There's no GSI though right? On the Umidigi, there are no custom ROMs. GSI is my only option.
Hi all,
My Note 9 warranty ran out the other day, so I flashed lineage on it. Unfortunately Android Auto doesn't seem to work and push notifications (e.g. Signal, Gmail) don't work.
Lineage for the Note 9 is nightly only, so it's no surprise there are issues, but this is my daily driver and need a stable ROM.
Would be grateful if anyone can recommend one or two ROMs that are stable enough that I won't have these issues.
Thinking crdroid or Havoc?
I don't need that much customisation option, just something that's stable and isn't Samsungs crap fest.
@DevBeard
Apparently official LineageOS support for Note 9 has gone bye bye anyway...
Now I'm stuck with the same question.
@TomDex I've just flashed crDroid (Android 11) and so far so good
i'm thinking of trying [ROM][N9][UNOFFICIAL][LineageOS 18.1][31-01-2021] ...
I'd be interested to know your thoughts if you do. The one thing I'm missing, with crDroid 7, is GCam at the moment
Hello,
I was wondering if there is a way to modify mbn file to allow for vowifi with carriers that dont provide it. I followed the following post to allow my mi 9 running miui 12 to work with vowifi https://community.oneplus.com/thread?id=1284987 I am looking to update to an android 12 aosp rom but I am unable to use the same procedure since there is no diag port on aosp rom. Is there a workaround for this ? Another procedure or a way to enable diag port ? this is my last hope before giving up on this since I tried almost everything and I cant find posts on xda that talk about this. Thank you.

Which ROM do you use?
Please try official PixelOS (recommended) or Lineage Beta by SebaUbuntu.
These are the only AOSP ROMs with working VoWifi. (at least in my case)

I tried all the MI9 available roms android 12 and pixel experience for android 11. sadly I cant get vowifi to work with any of them. I get the volte working but not vowifi. It seems like I need to do the method in that link. Are you also using freedom mobile in Canada ?

Unfortunately opening diag port seems impossible on aosp.
I've tried every possible way to do it, as i had the same problem like you.
On MiUi, vowifi works for you?

Yeah it works but only after I write the mbn file using EfsTools. It sucks honestly that I am stuck with miui. I also tried everything but thought I would post here as a last hope maybe someone has a workaround to get it working.
