Hi,
I am trying to ask here, as my previous question in xda general forum was gone after a few hours without anyone answering.
I need a call recording app that will add some metadata to the file name.
The reason for that, is when I move to another phone, all the metadata of the app is gone and I can't restore it.
The data I need:
Contact name(from my contacts).
Phone number.
Date+time.
Small note that I can add in the end of the call.
So it will be something like that:
11-07-2017_000-0000000_father_this-is-a-note.mp3
Thanks.

It was probably moved to the Q&A forum by a moderator as it belongs there. Someone should have told you though.....
This has also been moved to the Note 5 Q&A for the same reason.

As I noted in the main thread in dev, the HTC Exchange client doesn't do push notification (yet). I would have posted the apk last week when the myTouch dump dropped but for this one shortfall.
Edit: Mea culpa, there is a push option, just kind of hidden in a menu. Read post #43 of the dev subforum thread.

Yep. PUSH does indeed work, it's just not set up as default (it polls every 15 minutes by default).
works great, thanks!
As the topic suggests the numbers appeared to be cut when unlocking the phone.
Now before any one says this I had done before because there are settings in cm where you can change the display settings and the font appear to be in the perfect way., I had done this thing when I had first tried cyanogemod and people had issues with it and people had issues with and they had recommended solutions for it too and had worked.
So would request to great people out here who can provide the file and path name where the settings needs to be changed.
Thank you in Advance.

This is a known bug. JorEquis (I think he was it) fixed this. Search for pincode bugfix from him, or just use mardons modded cm10, where the bug fix is included.
btw: wrong thread! this is the general thread, please post your next question in the Q&A thread!

for some unexplained reason, ALL my text messages just disappeared one afternoon (now about 4 weeks ago). i had wanted to copy them to my PC but had not worked out yet how to do that and then they were deleted and i have no idea how that happened. i hope that they are hidden in the background somewhere in the phone memory? i have tried Dr Fone for android and SMS backup and restore, but could only see the new/current messages. where are they stored? what is the file name/type? will rooting the phone let me see them? or will rooting wipe the memory before i can find them? the phone software is gingerbread and does not support Kies3 which will save texts. samsung support tell me i cant update the software, and that the texts aren't stored in the phone anywhere. the phone is having issues (sometime i have to turn it off and on again jsut to make a call or send a text) and i should get a new one. the home key has not worked for months and i think the volume key does not work now either (without these buttons can i root/unroot the phone anyway? i was going to use 'asunsoft android phone geeker' ). any guidance is helpful please, thanks.

Ok sorry for that
Hi... I am pretty sure this is a general Samsung Galaxy line question, but I own the FE so I hope it's OK that I post my question here. A couple of years back Samsung removed the ability to pick a custom text notification soundbyte for numbers in your Contacts (the setting was in CONTACTS, just under the ability to pick a custom ringtone for CONTACTS. It upset a lot of folks (certainly I'm one of them), and I know there are several posts out there on other sites to this effect. Is there is anything that can be done? I didn't see any question/answers on this topic in XDA so far, but I'm hoping (praying) that someone here knows of or has a fix to remedy this? Samsung eventually did eventually put in a way to put a custom soundbyte to "Conversations" in the "Messages" text app but it's not the same thing. If a person has a one on one conversation with a contact, then this option for Samsung works fine. But if that same person becomes part of a group text, then the custom soundbyte does not work/apply since that contact is now in a different conversation. (It DID work the old way before Samsung dropped it). I'm told there "was" an app that solved this problem ("there's an app for everything"), but I can't find it and it may have been discontinued. Anyone know of a way to do this again? An app or Mod? Please? Calling Samsung on this issue is an exercise in futility, since the reps that answer don't always much more that the scripts they are provided. Thank you all in advance
