I don't know if it is me only or my device but if I try to scroll on my phone holding it upside down then I can too see jelly scrolling effect which is recently observed on Oneplus 5 devices.
Can anyone confirm on this one...
No lol.
don't you think that additional effect was cool XD

Yes. It's here. Looks funny
You can replicate this on almost every phone i think. At least the ones i tried had it, holding them upside down.
Yes, I was able to replicate it on OP3.
Sent from my OnePlus 3 using Tapatalk
I can somewhat replicate this, though I need to scroll rather slowly for me to see it. Could be just my eyes, though. However, I can't seem to be able to replicate it in other phones that I have tried, and that the upside-down OnePlus 3 is the only one that experiences the issue.
I can replicate this on my OP3. It is noticable the most on apps like Twitter.
amazing. it is present.

Hi,
While reading IS review on pocketnow.com I've found them saying that the screen sensitivity on IS is not good. But I'm interested and with others opinions from actual owners of IS. Thanks.

I think it's very responsive myself. The only problem I've had in that regard is that I have to press down for a split-second before I swipe down to unlock the screen, otherwise it doesn't respond properly - but I've seen this on other Sense-based phones too.

Perhaps the reviewers were on some kind of experimental drug.. i don't know.. i am too.. but, anyway. the screen sensitivity is just great. Have been using the IS for about three weeks now. Not one hick-up, restart, freeze what so ever.
it has been flying fast all the time.
If anything IMHO its a little over sensitive, sometimes it feels like I don't actually have to make physical contact before the IS makes the action.

I have to agree with you, the response time is instant, i haven't rebooted the phone since i started using it. roughly been 3 weeks 2 days uptime.
Although i sometimes hear an echo on my end but when i ask the person on the other end abt the quality of the sound they all say its crystal clear :S

Yes, definately also something I have noticed! This never happened with my Legend, so the screen of the IS must be more sensitive!
Ive noticed this and Ive been trying to figure out what it is. Swiping between home screens is slower than on my Legend and it takes a more firm/resolute (I have to overerly excagerate the finger movement) to get it to move sometimes. It starts moving, but then it stops.
Ive got a small metal piece stuck between screen and phone body, so this might affect my device. Read own post on the matter http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1021486

This is exactly what I have noticed. You might could say, it's just too sensitiv.
I haven't had any sensitivity issues - so far so good
I have a mate who got this phone & he is having issues with applications opening without him touching the screen he just has to put his finger about 2mm from screen & they open eg messages/camera etc.
Anyone else having this problem ?
Is there a setting he can change to fix this sensitivity issue especially as he has moved from an old Nokia non smartphone ?

That is why the flicker went away on my Nexus 7 last night. I was sitting in a strong signal location.
When I went upstairs I had a weaker signal and that is when the flicker was noticeable again.
So, that tells me the WiFi chip in the Nexus 7 is a cheap piece of crapolla.

Hi all, i can confirm that it's somehow software related. What i mean is not that the hardware is OK, but that software can fix it.
I thought it's somewhat related to the Nvidia Prism Technology inside the tablet, trying to setup the screen and optimizing something. It is related to this in my case. I rooted and used an app on the play store to stop that feature. Now i can tell you that both 4.1.2 and 4.2 are flicker free. Somehow on 4.2 this process is much more aggressive and i think that Prism is on all the time, not only when you are watching videos, even on the homescreen.
PS: ...the Prism Feature optimizes the screen, and it really saves battery...but you have some screen problems.

My Nexus 7 flickers horrifically when the brightness is at minimum and Chrome is loading a new page. I'm hoping someone (or a few of you) can reproduce this to make sure I don't have a lemon. If its something correctable by an ota update I'll keep my unit, but if not I only have tomorrow to exchange.

Can you take a video? I haven't heard anything like that. If anything it sounds like a hardware problem.

My wife and son are asleep in the room so I can't do a video. I found another thread about the One X getting an immediate update to cure screen flicker. I'll probably talk to the Googlers about it tomorrow, but I wanted to post a thread to be available for future queries.
It seems to be a common issue with Tegra 3 devices. HTC fixed it pretty promptly so I expect Google/Asus will get it fixed even soon if it does turn out to be a common problem.
This is an issue with Transformer Prime as well, maybe Nvidia still hasn't fixed their drivers. It has come and gone with different firmware updates, most recently it's back again... Seach for "transformer prime screen tearing" for videos of it. Does it look similar to what you saw?
So the connection is the Tegra 3, then. Good to know.
My issue is not like the screen tear. Mine is the entire display flickers like it was backlit by a candle. I'm using Thomas Edison's tablet from the 19th century.
Also, it ONLY happens on page load in Chrome and with brightness below about 10% on the slider. I'll talk to Google today and relay what comes from that.
Why don't you just exchange it?
Sounds like a possibly defective backlighting module... I'd exchange it.
Don
It sounds very similar to the HTC One X issues which were fixed by a software update. It's hard to say without seeing the screen flicker though as there seem to be various screen issues that people refer to as "flicker".
While you are at it, test if USB storage works on your N7
The HTC One X had the same problem.if not worse. Flickered on any brightness level on a grey background.but HTC fixed it so it is a very good chance it is software issue with yours. Give it a few months first?

I (and two other people in the touchscreen dead spot thread) can confirm that this issue is fixed. Those of us whose screens started dropping touches and behaving erratically after a few minutes of use no longer have it occurring after 4.1.2, something I am overjoyed about
I have noticed that the issue of crossing axes while ungrounded still occurs, but that's entirely forgiveable imho since it's so rare that I don't hold the tablet in my hands, especially for multitouch.
The prism issue persists (washed out colours in general and especially after video), but the Prism Toggle app in the market can disable it with root, so it's not a bother for me.
Meh.
Update doesn't seem amazing to me. Think ill just stick on 4.1.1 for now!

Noticed this as soon as I setup the phone. I don't think I've ever seen an AMOLED panel do this. It's almost like it's refreshing each line of pixels too slowly/unevenly during a single frame?
Here's an album of images and video captured from 240 FPS video. View them one after another. The screen refreshes by starting in the bottom left corner and finishes the frame in the top right corner... the icons and text on each line of apps goes out of alignment as I scroll.
Text and elements on the screen stretches out when scrolling down, and smushes together when scrolling up. Straight lines look wavy when scrolling left or right as well!

Hopefully software since it's the same panel as the 3T. I don't think it's vsync, because if that were disabled it'd result in tearing. I really have no idea what's going on.

Same here. It seems to be a Software issue
---------- Post added at 17:04 ---------- Previous post was at 16:38 ----------
To be Precise the upper part of the screen reacts slower. The thing that makes me nervous is that it's the same Spot when using horizontal.
Anyone can check if this issue is also when scrolling in twrp, if yes it's a Firmware issue or even Hardware.
If this was a Software issue we would see a Glitch while scrolling but it's a smooth Jello effect
I've did couple of Tests. And it seems it's the screen itself and not the Software. As recording the screen with an App will not show the issue. I hope it can be fixed with a Firmware Update.
We need an Update for the amoled screen driver.
Thank god I'm not the only one noticing that straight away. It pretty much ruined my experience since I got this phone. At first a thought its just me beeing OCD again and checking the screen for failures far too often.
It's hard to not see it when scrolling and it is very irritating!
Like a Jello / Wobble / Warping effect.
This needs to be addressed asap! If I Google this issue, it comes up a thread on OnePlus forums "The first thing I did when I got my OnePlus 5, I immediately installed the ... screen starts moving before the top half, giving a "jello" effect when ..".If I click on it, it says "OnePlus Forums - Error
The requested thread could not be found".
Seems like they removed the thread?
If the issue isn't getting worse when underclocking cpu&gpu with Ex kernel it's sure no Software issue. Then it's rather Hardware or Firmware (Panel driver)
But I simply can't imagine an amoled screen having such a Hardware issue.

It's the same panel (better say a variant of the panel), but what people don't know is that it seems it's mounted inverted on the OP5. So this wobbly effect seems to manifest more because of this condition.
I noticed this when evaluating some stuff on the source code I could backport to the 3T.
Let's hope it's just a weird overlay panel calibration or something similar and not a processing issue from design choices.
Only time will tell.

Exactly i can't take that chance they may or may not fix this issue or are they just going to sweep it under the carpet and pretend no one noticed, One thing is for sure if i decide to keep it and they don't resolve this awful screen latency, scrolling, stuttering lag this will be my 1st and last OP phone, it shouldn't have even come to market with this issue.

I have one of the wallpapers that react to motion sense movement so it is easy to see if it is working. After a reboot it is ok, but later in the day it seems to stop. I'm wondering if it is after being in standby for a while or being in a pocket?
In case anyone else comes across this, contacted Google support and they said it was a hardware issue. Swapped for new device and seems ok now.

It's probably the Pokemon wallpaper.
All the wall papers in "coming alive" selection respond to the motion sense. This was the only way I noticed, the face unlock seems to be got ready when the phone is picked up so this was very fast even when motion sense wasn't working.
Worth checking as my phone always worked when it was rebooted, but then just stopped after a while. The new phone has been perfect and the wall paper always responded.
