You should be able to go back to 5.1.1, but no further. The bootloader should NOT be downgraded and the 7 bootloader won't work with 5.0.

I have the n6f27e bootloader and radio installed and I'm running the Resurrection Remix 5.1.1 ROM with no issues. I also have the latest TWRP recovery installed as well.

Update bootloader to go to 4.3??

Hi all! I have a wifi nexus 7 (unlocked and rooted with smoothrom installed) if I want to go to 4.3 do I have to update the bootloader to 4.23? If I do update the bootloader will I still be able to use a 4.2.2 rom before flashing to a 4.3 rom?
Thanks!

It works on the Nexus 10. I had issues with CM12 but I switched to the Dirty Unicorns ROM and it works fine. In the future, if you have doubts, just make a backup and try it.
well, its not working on my n10 with stock 5.0.2 rom/kernel.
i read that it should work with khaons kernel, but with that i also get a bootloop
Not working for me on stock 5.0.2 (bootloop)
Bootloop here, too.
5.0.1 stock working nice!
I got a bootloop as well on 5.0.2.
Sorry to necro this thread, but I am in a similar positiion. I am rooted on 5.0.2 and want to install xposed, but it seems thats not a good idea. Do need to upgrade to 5.1 first?

5.1 to 5.0.2 with out bricking?

Is this possible? I received my nexus 6 with stock 5.1 and have been jumping between aosp 5.1 roms. I saw issues with people flashing to 5.0.2 and bricking. From what I could tell it only happened when flashing an official cm12 nightly due to the included bootloader. Is that correct. So would unofficial roms based on cm12 be fine to flash?
Thanks

Blisspop works without issue
As long as you don't relock the bootloader you should be fine

Marshmallow for sprint m7 ,

Hello. , Roms have been coming out lately and I understand that most are in beta , but this particular device was said to have marshmallow development back when I asked in October , but the gsm models have had marshmallow cm13 for a while now , and has recently got a second build , that had been more than enough time to patch the Roms for Verizon and sprint m7 users , is there anyone out there that marshmallow for this particular sprint model m7wls , m7spr please and thanks
Good luck. Most of our devs have moved on to newer devices. We got to Lollipop. I ain't complaining. lol

which ROM are you using???
marshmallow on sprint HTC one M7??
Hey I am running marshmallow now on my M7. I got the rom from http://www.vanir.co/word/
What you have to do is download the latest lolipop rom first - then when that rom is installed there is a ota for the marshmallow rom. Its cm based and works pretty good. I have rooted it and am running xposed. The root for this rom is cool because you just go to developer options and turn on root access. No need to install SU as a separate app. Also, the ota is great. This may be the best rom I have installed yet to date.
You can find the latest version of Marshmallow here, http://www.emccann.net/nuclearmistake/VanirAOSPNightlies/m7spr/

Is it still required to first install Lilipop ROM instead of just installing the Marshmallow ROM right off the bat? I'd prefer to go straight to Marshmallow as is done in the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gyLF02rgFY
Their latest nightly will stand alone. Just install has you would any new rom. Be sure to use their gapps.

Currently Rooted G900A 5.0 since 4.4; best way to install 6.0.1?

I've been rooted since KitKat (4.4), currently on Lollipop (5.0) and I believe my bootloader is still unlocked. How do I confirm this?
I'd like to upgrade it to Marshmallow 6.0/6.0.1, if that's possible. Any recommended path to the soft goodness of MM?
Of course.
Step 1: Don't

Well now because there are not official builds just yet, the ones uploaded were just test builds that apparently work smoothly but some apps don't work (android pay), if you manage to update and the official build comes out you will have to back up your data and wipe over and over again.
And you will also lose that sweet root permanently.
