Hi all
I have a c432 device
I've had nougat since the beta, currently using b386.
What's the best software version to be on right now? I feel that 386 is a quite laggy, as was 378.
Is this just a nougat problem and b182 is where we should be?
I too would like I know this and also is the battery life still an issue on MM?
Thanks.

Hello guys, I bought my Huawei P9 back in December 2016 and since then I only used official EMUI 4.1, official EMUI 5.0 and I am currently using the NewWorld-7 by Tecalote, but I am now looking to change this.
I need you guys to suggest me the "best" if I can say ROM out there for the P9, kinda doesn't matter the version. Only a few notes: The ROM must have a working Camera, GPS, Fingerprint, Bluetooth, etc. (as much things working as possible).
Because I want the ROM to have as less bugs as possible I am thinking of installing the official ROM, probably B378 (or whatever the latest version was), but I want to keep my root access on the other hand, so I'm also thinking about dkionline's "mOOnlight ROM v1.0 B378 Stock", but the thing is that as far as I'm concerned, on Custom ROMs, the PlayStore isn't updating and this is important for me, because I am modding my games a lot and the latest version of the PlayStore is required.
One thing in EMUI 5 that I hate is the lockscreen when using Spotify. I have no problem about the thing being small (in EMUI 4 it takes the whole screen), but atleast the controls to be working properly (people who used Spotify and B362 or whatever the first official B3XX build was will undestand).
So well, suggest me what ROM to install
Can anybody recommend a version or build of the best version of P9? Like the older updates and such that has longer battery and better performance etc? Thanks in advance !
the slow but best solution:
wait until official oreo rolls out in europe, flash/update to emui 8, install a treble GSI.
Hi guys, i still didnt receive emui 8.0, and i want to know if its really worth it upgrading to so i can install it manually, as i saw in the internet its doesnt differ too much from emui 5.0, is it worh it ? does it provide more battery life or performance ?
Yes, you get all the latest security patches.
Hello my p20 pro current version is the CLT-L09 8.1.0.131 (C782). It is single sim and based in Europe. I was told that I could download Huawei firmware finder on playstore and see if there's any update for me.
So the newer ones that are out are .132 and .133 but it was shown that my emui version is not supported. Is it still possible for me to manually update my phone? And the update is 3gb big. Why does it take so much space?
As far as I know the latest version is something like .152 but only available for dual SIM phones if I'm not mistaken. Man.. I really want to latest version because ppl say it's much smoother than the older versions. Does anyone know what is in the .133 version? Are there .134-149 or is it just a leap from .133 to 1.51?
error you are getting is that app isn't compatible for p20 series yet, so that means if you try to run a update from app it would mostlikely fail, since of compatible issues.
You can flash newer copy but it could affect on something i think idk exactly what atm.
So I just received the notification to update to EMUI 9.(new phone). But Should I upgrade?
I searched online and some people ,here in xda also , are saying that they experience battery drain. Is that true?
Is so should I not proceed with the update?
If I upgrade is there any official way to downgrade to the previous firmware?
Thanks in advance
In my opinion you shouldn't upgrade. The battery drain is real and you notice it quite clearly, it also uses more RAM. To me it wasn't worth it, I've gone back to Android Oreo yesterday.
You can update and revert back with HiSuite on PC, but you'll lose all your data once you restore the 8.0 ROM.
At first I was happy about the update of Android Pie. Unfortunately I have to say that I have regretted updating Android Oreo. Android Pie consumes a lot of battery and does not run as smoothly as before.
Currently I'm loading the 3rd Android Pie update (Version 9.1.0.215) and I'm curious if it works better this time. Android Q should be ready for us by the end of this month. If the Android Q does not bring any improvements regarding battery and performance, I will go back to version Android Oreo.
