Hi everyone,
I've had numerous problems with OTA updates with my AT&T SM-G900A since I got it. I'm not in the US anymore and my phone was unlocked, so I thought "hey, how hard could it be" and tried to flash it.
I used the following binaries that were posted here a couple of days ago: http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s5/general/g900aucs4cpa2-odin-files-em-hot-t3372388
I ran them through Odin3 3.09, and got a PASS - but the phone is stuck at the boot logo screen ("Samsung Galaxy S5 Powered by Android" screen).
Download mode still works, but normal booting, recovery booting and safe mode do not.
Any suggestions on what I could do?
EDIT: I used the stock image located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2714455 to reflash it using Odin again. It seems to have worked, though all sorts of apps were crashing. I've just done a factory reset and am in the process of restoring it, but it seems promising for now. Never trying to update AT&T crap again.
Hey man, are you still having troubles? I just rooted my Sm-G900A, and then decided to use Odin to flash it with the 5.1.1 files. So this is what happened to me:
1: Flashed AP with the 5.1.1 file, passed but stuck at the Samsung Logo- Powered by Android.
2: rebooted into download mode and flashed "BL" or Bootloader with the 5.1.1 file and I got passed that screen. Now I'm waiting for it to optimize my apps.
My guess is after we flash the AP file we then have to flash the bootloader as well. So if you haven't tried that I'd suggest it to see what happens.
Stuck on Bootloader Unlocked warning
Yestardat MY g2 was running smooth on lolipop after reciving OTA and updating to marshmallow 6.0 it was laggy and not super smooth then so few hours later it suddenly goes on boot loop i dont know how it was happen but its on my table and next thing i see that it is keep on turning on and staying at M Logo for like a sec. the back to turn off and the same happening till now .
i cant even able to access into recovery or anywhere except Fastboot
so according to my little experience what i tried is to download fresh Stock firmware and flashed it . successfully but nothing seems to helm me out . then i think it because of bootloader so i unlock my bootloader and try flashing same firmware again using fastboot but still the situation is same....(it doent wipe my data )

Mt g920t was on rooted firmware 5.1.1 and i decided to unroot it to play pokemon go ( funny i know), i flashed it with stock firmware 5.1.1 but after the flash the phone was stuck on samsung logo and so i decided to flash it again to 6.0.1 . After the flash the phone restarted and went into recovery mode and on the bottom of recovery mode it says dm-verity verification failed , need to check DRK first.
I have wiped cache and also done factory from recovery but still nothing. when i go in download mode it says my FRP lock is off.
Everytime i turn on the phone or plug in the charger the phones goes into recovery mode.
Any help will be appreciated.
Just got the notification of 11.1 being available. Downloaded and installed.
Now the phone is saying FRP lock when booting.
Was working 100% with v11.
FRP is a safety feature. It would help to know what phone you have but you should be able to turn it off in your settings under "security".
Same happened to me. Only solution is to Odin a stock firmware back into the phone.
Hi!
After receiving my OP 3T, I unlocked it and went to a Nougat firmware and rom. Failing to get VoLTE, VoWifi and SMSC settings on that rom, I tried further roms, one with the recommendation to do a full wipe. At the very end, I downgraded to OOS 3.5.4, but forgot to deactivate the password before starting the OS. That forced me to format userdata via TWRP and that way decrypt the phone the hard way.
With OOS 3.5.4, VoLTE, VoWifi and SMSC settings did work again fine and I would stay with that OS.
So I tried to reencrypt the rooted phone.
Starting that process from settings, the 3T bootet and stucked in the OS splash animation screen (the two white bubbles circling around the red bubble). After 1+ hour I bootet the phone which suceeded. Obviously nothing was happened, the phone remained unencrypted.
Does anyone has a hint how I can get the phone reencrypted?

I recently did this with the most recent version of twrp, the official one from the twrp website, however a quick fix i believe is to flash stock recovery, reboot, encrypt and then flash twrp. Both methods worked for me

Hi!
Thanks for your reply.
With both latest TWRP 3.1.0-1 and the official recovery, I see the green android robot and then the phone shows the screen with the two white rotating bubbles around the red bubble... but no progress indicator or anything else.
Booting the phone out of that screen shows that nothing happened....

Hmm I'm not sure then. I'm using the latest FreedomOS so it could have something go do with that. Also rooted with magisk but no other system mods
I think I found the reason...
After I unrooted the phone, it did not stuck in the boot animation (or for whatever that animation was used, it is the same as when booting but the phone did not boot) but continued into the encrytpion progress screen.
I remember having had such an effect with a Samsung some time ago where encryption also failed as long as a process was running related to a rooted phone.
