I am using REDMI NOTE 3 PRO.
I really want to know your opinion guys if the upgrade is worth it.
Are AOSP roms battery like MIUI and stable? because i will not use MIUI on it if i buy it.
How are the other things like performance battery and camera compared to a REDMI NOTE 3 PRO?
If i were to upgrade, i would try to get a mi6 even if i had to wait a month to save more money. Mi5 is an excellent phone but yeah there's my opinion

Worth.., sometimes i arguing i don't need higher cpu when i used android devices as long as it has great comunity (AOSP).. and i totally wrong, snapdragon820(morethanenough),UFS2.0 hell yea its blazing fast, great camera even when you flashed non MIUI roms.
All are better except battery life
For note 3 it is supreme for mi 5 its only average

Just wondering what xiaomi devices have the biggest dev base ? Is the mi5 one of them?
Guys do you think its worth it to trade xiaomi mi5 32gb for xiaomi a1?
You think its an upgrade?
A1's biggest selling points are dual cameras and stable stock ROM. Now, mi5 even 32 gb should be faster than a1, but on the other hand, a1 offers expandable storage and more ram. Personally, after 2 years of using redmi note 3 (first mediatek then pro 32/3 gb) i have gotten a but sick of the large screen (it's good and all but I have bought a tablet so I don't watch youtube on my phone any more) and I really missed the physical samsung-style button. I personally would not upgrade since I have the 64 gb mi5 variant, but you decide for yourself. I have a feeling the smaller screen will suit me during the following year (and a half perhaps). Also, mi5's custom roms are well developed by now and should be fully stable (sorry didn't try them yet, i'm waiting for the tempered glass and case to arrive), mixed with the nova launcher prime you can get full pixel experience just like with a1. We even have the port of the google's hdr+ camera app which should in theory compare to the stock miui camera.
In conclusion, I personally wouldn't upgrade, but if storage and better cameras are what you prefer over slight performance bump, and you fancy bigger screens, then absolutely go for it, especially if you don't have to pay for the switch.

My mains are in this order: battery, performance, xda support.
So which one should i go for MI5 or A1 ? (for A1 i must pay another 30-40$)
Idk about battery, a1 has bigger screen but slower soc, so i really cant tell which would have better battery life, my guess is around the same. Performance is on the mi5's side, xda support should be around the same too but a1 doesn't really need custom roms

Haha I really don't know then, see comparisons and decide for yourself. Now that you mentioned it, it very well may be a gimmick. Paying additional 30-40$ in my opinion isn't worth it. You seem like you aren't too happy with the mi5, what's the deal breaker?

It's always a good idea to buy a Note 4, provided that you absolutely need the Spen. If you don't, then maybe you should look for something else.
But if you intend to use the Spen extensively, then Note 4 looks even better than the Note 5. For a relatively affordable price, you get replaceable battery, memory slot and you can install a Note 5 rom, making it absolutely the same in the software sector. The Note 5 has a much more capable hardware on paper, but probably you won't notice that in everyday use and in most situtations.
The deciding factor is the Spen. Do you need it? If yes, get it. If you don't, look for something else.

thanks guys,
I am little confused with note4 and moto x style...I was using note 2 and not 3 before then I shifted to one plus 2.
I thougt without sd card I will be able to manage but I guess its quite difficult thats why I want to buy a phone with sd card. Moto x style is good one with lowr price also but its not having OIS and camera is not so good in low light conditions.
How is note 4 camera. Do you guys recommend to buy note 4?
Note 4 is the best phone I have ever owned it's still competing with today's flagship especially with root and unlocked bootloader the battery is amazing camera is high quality and I have never ran out of space with a 128gb SD card and 32gb on board memory I would suggest if you get the note 4 get the snapdragon variant. But like other have said if you don't use the spen you can get a on paper better phone with the same price range, but that note 4 amoled screen is very hard to compare to.

Well, without spen also I am not able to find any phone within same price range which is as good as note 4.
Note 4 screen --resoultion + size
removable battery,
sd card
infra red
3 GB ram
CAMERA (OIS + 16MB)
I am looking for good screen (5.5 to 5.7) 3GB RAM, good camera,sd card support.
Do you know any phone better than note4 in above features.
Post no. #4 is the kind of post why i get angry for the sheer stupidity!
Note 4 at 30k is still the best phone out there, end of story. One Plus 2 nice, but only the camera is better. I myself was confused between X Style and Note 4, ended up with the latter, glad I did. Motorola would win in terms of software only, that's it. For Note 4 you only compromise with the software, TW (it's not that bad anyway), and get quite a lot of other this which other phones can't even dream about providing.
Go for it.

You won't find a more full featured phone in that price range that will compare with a note 4, and the spen is just a topping on the cake that makes it that much more useful. There are a bunch of amazing Roms that ported the note 5 features and cleaned up touchwiz to the point where it actually is a great Ui the only phone I would think of getting instead of a note 4 is the new nexus.

You have mentioned nothing about the Spen. You also had Note 2 and 3, but it was easy for you to shift to OPT.
I think it's obvious that you do not have a great need for the most stand out feature of the Notes. In that case, you should probably go for another phone, there are so many good phones out there these days.

5.7 screen size

3 GB ram
CAMERA with OIS
Only phone which came close was moto x style but its camera is not good at all. I like some new phones also Like Zuk ,LE Eco but they dont have sd card.
Moto g plus is good but it is having heating issue plus camera is not good.

You can get even better devices. Note 4 surely is great one I myself use note 4 but after what sammy did with 6.0.1 i think note 4 users should use a ported rom to do justice with the hardware. So in comparison to that there are many devices. Htc one me camera just go and look at the camera of that device. Hence my point of view. If you didnt like it then talk respectfully.

Hahaha yupp iPhone sucks i say it too but as i said to the other guy i gave him the choices on price range. And yes YU is an Indian company but I saw people around me using it and it is good enough i mean given the liberty to do anything with the device, few tweaks would make it a good one. And the model was different its going to launch in this week with flagship specs. So he can keep it to compare the models you know.

Don't go for note 4. I've been using for 1 and a half year and I regret it. I don't want to change to note 5 and wait for another year for note 6 or note 7 edge (whatever they want to call it).
P's. It's a Korean company and not an us, europe or whatever your country coming from.
To OP, just go to the shop and try both. Better to try yourself then asking other people.
I just picked up a used N901F for a ludicrously cheap price and I'm going to give it a week or so to see how it compares to my N9005 with daily use before I decide if I keep it or not. The biggest issue will be battery life as the Note 3 rocked in that department! I travel a lot so I need battery life and stability so I'm a little hesitant to go down the custom ROM route (didn't have too many issues with my HTC HD2 in that respect) so I've rooted it stuck TWRP and xposed on, installed most of my old apps and gsam battery monitor to keep an eye on what's going on with the battery.
This is my first time using MM - any apps/features you guys recommend either specifically on the Note 4 or even MM in general?
You can go for Note 4, eyes closed, great phone.
Seriously, that's a very funny post, Yu and other phones compared with Samsung, and that too a Galaxy Note phone. I live in India too, and I too do see ghatiya (rubbish) phones being used nowadays, LeEco, Lyf, Xioami etc., those could never be compared with a Samsung or brands like that at first place! Also just by seeing a phone, that too used by other people, you can't conclude a decision, let alone recommending it to someone!!! Weird!
Note4life only note 6 next!!!
N-910F
I'd honestly say that the Note 4 is a excellent device even by today's standards. I've seen some retailers sell it at a much lower price than when I purchased mine last year.
so hard to find info on this. i may be in the market for a new phone but still haven't upgraded because i don't want a smaller screen. anyone have a recommendation for a phone for at least a 6" screen or should i just stay with my nexus?
You should take a look at the Mi mix from Xiaomi .
I think the look and specs are great .
Only thing what sucks is the price .
1+3T ? hopefully ?
Huawei Mate 8, it has a 6 inch screen, dope device I might say which I recently got.

The Mi Note 2 is just a tad smaller at 5.7" but with killer specs. I ordered two new devices last week to check out as a future replacement for my Nexus 6. I got both the Le Eco Le Pro3 which comes in at 5.5" and the Le Max 2 is 5.7" respectively and on their way. I love the size of my Nexus 6. It fits my catchers mit hands perfectly. On a side note about the size difference between the Mi Mix and the Nexus 6, the Mi Mix is almost identical in overal size.
Mi Mix
(6.25 x 3.22 x 0.31 in)
Nexus 6
(6.27 x 3.27 x 0.40 in)

It should, It works with T-Mobile 4g LTE..
I think they are both 5.7", but I'm considering the Axon 7 and the LG V20.
I'm not a huge fan of LG, but the newer devices look decent. They also have removable battery, and SD support. Sadly, single down-firing speaker. On the up side, the TMobile version has an unlockable bootloader, which is absolutely required in any device I would buy. ZeroLemon has announced an extended battery, which I loved on my Note 3. It sounds like there are some decent tempered glass screen protectors as well. TMobile sells the device, so things like wifi calling are built in, which is nice for a lot of people, even though I don't use it much. It's also already on Android 7, which is nice. I do think it's overpriced, but they are selling out with the Note 7 fiasco, so perhaps not so much.
Axon 7 has dual forward facing speakers, which is really nice on the Nexus 6. It doesn't have a removable battery though does have SD. Screen protectors are harder to come by as well. Bootloader can be unlocked, and ZTE is even providing development support for a CM build. Once that works, the ROM development really accelerates. No wifi calling, they keep saying "soon". So if you need that, be aware. The US version seems to be getting somewhat frequent ROM updates for security etc, but oddly they don't seem to be updating the EU model as much. Android 7 is also "soon", so something to be aware of. I haven't upgraded my Nexus 6 yet, so it's not a huge issue for me.
As I would want it for development reasons, kernel source is required which leaves out Mediatek CPUs etc.. I also like that the stock ROMs are reported to be reasonably decent. I'm not a big fan of the changes made for the sake of changes that you get with the Chinese-market devices. They just have different preferences in software than I do, apparently. The LG and ZTE stock ROMs aren't too annoying.
I know some people in China I am going to try to get them to send me a Mi Mix. They are selling the 6gb version for around $500 US in China and I very highly doubt you'll be able to pick one up in the US for that price
Ok so after I got my op3t I had horrible battery drain issues, after that my vibration got very loud buzzy and wierd... And I couldn't handle with the phone like that... So I returned it and got my money back...
Now I need a new phone... And I consider if to wait till mid + 2017 until I decide what phone to get or just buy an HTC 10 (or v20 but everyone say that it has stuttering problems)
now... what do you suggest? Should I get the HTC 10? wait? Or get a new 3t...?
(I'm not considering the S7 because no USB-C)
I need a very very good battery and camera
A very good performance
A nice vibrant screen and good build quality...
What phone do you suggest?
Or.. what do you suggest I'll do?
(Meanwhile I have a broken HTC M8)
Thank you!!!

HTC 10, V20 and S7 are the same price as him in Israel... You sure?
Unlocked pixel, or another 3T or wait for the S8
If I were you, I will try my luck to get another brand new 3T since you already said that the S7 were not an option anymore.
The lousy vibration might be the hardware or manufacturing defect, however as for the battery drain, for sure, I'm not experienced it. Currently, my 3T running on the latest OOS 4.1.0 with latest ElementalX kernel and the battery life is just fine for me.

man I suggest you to go for another 3T or HTC 10. I own both phones And I love them so much. HTC 10 will not give you the best of everything but the overall experience is perfect. and balance. the build, the screen, the feel in hand, the speakers, the camera and the nougat is so stable I can say its stable than most smartphones these day (oh wait pixel is the number 1 in term of software). you can head up to htc 10 forum and there is no complain thread. I can afford any phone but I still cant find the perfect 10/10 phone this year. I would say no even someone offered me S7 or v20 or ultra U for free.
Both phones I rate 8/10. good luck

I dont know based on your rate its samsung s7 edge. I dont think you should wait. you buy a phone when you feel to. you wait for another 3months to buy a new phone then you will have to wait for another 3-5 months waiting for the price drop and in the next few months there will always new phones come again. you will keep waiting forever.

What I dont like on 3T is the amoled yellowiest screen and the camera. the rest im very satisfied if oneplus fix those in op5, sure 2017 is the year.

But it doesn't have a USC-C !!! I think it's a deal breaker because I already bought a lot of USB-C accessories... So... It's an issue... What do you think?

The plus 3 screen is beautiful and white. The whites are the whitest whites I have ever seen on a smartphone. What are you talking about? Maybe the one you saw had night mode on... The camera is actually pretty good and the 60fps video is amazing!
But sure... The 10 really does seem better and the camera rated only one point less than the pixel
G6?
If budget isn't a challenge, you can consider adding Huawei Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro to the list of options.

I love everything about this phone, but i heard the screen looks fuzzy due to the pentile technology. Do you people think this screen looks fuzzy and horrible and do you guys recommend i get this phone or the Pixel XL?
Hi i suggest you to go for oneplus 5 as it has snapdragon 835 in almost hakf price of the Samsung s8.
Yes there are issues with display (jelly effect ) but they will solve in software update and not every device has this issue you can return and ask for replacement if issue occurs in your phone.
Overall its upto you.

I'd advise you to wait for the Pixel 2 to released, and then to take the Pixel XL.. It has a better camera, and imo it looks way better. However you won't have customization options of the 3T. The screen is fine on the 3T though so don't worry about that if you choose it.
Really it's up to you, both of them are better than 95% of other smartphones.

I bought a 3t just yesterday, new for 350 EU and it's a fantastic peace of hardware, coming from a OnePlus2...
It's still worth a buy, community support is incredible hardware itself is pretty much future-proof - I'm really happy!

The screen on the 3T is excellent.
Very deep blacks.
You should go for the OP5...you can find it on some warehouses in a better price that oneplus offers.....

Text doesn't look fuzzy to me at all. Honestly, folks that complain about pentile (or this display in particular) must have much better eyes than I do. Everything looks sharp and vibrant to me.
The OP5 looks to be an incremental improvement, at best. And that jelly effect just looks annoying. If you can get the 3T for a significantly lower price (and I would think so) it's a much better deal.

A software update won't fix your UPSIDE down display ....MATE screen on 3T is perfect... Colors are absolutely spot on...rich deep Black's. After using QHD since the note 4 I can tell you the difference was almost not there !

Yeah i never had an issues with the screen at all. You can get 3t for less than $400 right now (used) or if you have bigger budget, go with the pixel 2. LG G6 has an awesome deal on ebay right now, $400 brand new.

Want to switch from Sony Xperia Z2
Is it worth buying OP3T now(in my country it costs about 400EUROS and Oneplus5 like 500)?
Other people recommend Huawei Honor 9.
Idk what should I do, my budget is about 350-400 (MAX 450euros) .
Opinions?

Don't go for the Honor 9 (unless it's priced significantly lower). If you are going for the Honor 9, just go for the 3T, it packs a greater punch (the storage is significantly faster inside the 3T)
The 3T is still worth it even at this times. It's blistering fast and the battery life is superb (for me). Honestly the performance difference between the 5 and 3T is not by a huge margin anyway.

but do you think it`s still worth it? Will 3T even support Android O?
Btw, what`s your setup: Kernel / ROM
Are there any problems you face on daily basis?

He just said it's still worth it (those exact words) in the post you quoted. Why are you asking again?
Plus, the Honor 9 is not going to have anywhere near the development and community here as the 3T does. The 3T section is the most active forum on XDA, last I heard.

Yes.

https://www.xda-developers.com/the-oneplus-33t-will-have-android-o-by-the-end-of-2017/
Plus, the dev community here will almost certainly keep the 3T going long after "O", even if Oneplus doesn't.

I can get Op3 for 280euros - 300.
Op3T costs 400.
What do you recommend?

I'm enough with the 6T gonna upgrade to 7 Pro. The main thing are the no notch, pop up camera feature And especially curved display and even the display has been rated as A+. And the processor is 855 AC standard or AX standard not sure about that. Is there anyone else like me upgrading from 6T to 7 Pro??
Well considering, but the price might be a joke, lets see in a week, 700 quid or more just aint cheap or affordable anymore, honor 20 pro probably be around 500 ish mark ( yes hate the software) but if they can manage to stick all latest hardware inc basically same or even better cams, ... Why OP tryin to climb up to flagship prices
Have you guys looked at the axon 10 pro?

I will not say nice upgrade but if are done with the 6T then go for it.
I am going to keep my OnePlus 6T. It's probably expected that the OnePlus 7T will be the better flagship to get. They blew our minds away with the 6T and all the gesture features that it could do. They'll blow us away even further with the OnePlus 7T.

Can't wait for another 6 months just to see an minor upgrade.
the hidden pop up camera can't make me feel safe when it is in my pocket!
I'm probably going to get a 7 pro at some point because I lack self control. But my biggest complaint is that they're improving things that were already good about the 6T rather than trying to fix the weak parts. Camera looks to still be soso, battery life seems to have gotten worse, 7 pro still doesn't have proper sides to grip and looks to be incredibly hard to hold. Hopefully I'm wrong, either way I'll probably have one in my pocket soon

Haha, yeah well.. u got a better self control than me, i did click the button this morning, comin from 6t too, abt the cam.. nobody has beaten pixie, google post processing heaven, but from what I've seen, cam is close to it and s10, well as long as the shutter is faster than 6t am happy, biggest concern for me was ( and still is) the motion on the 6t, try taking pics of kids or movin objects... Battery well, some reporting 7h sot some 4, cant see the phone gettin less than 5 so that's basically a full day of use
Worse battery, slower face unlock, bigger than 6t and super expenve phone.
Not worth

That is pretty impressive specs...work on Verizon? My 6T does and my account is setup to LTE with them...but does it support the proper LTE bands VZW uses? Otherwise..not so much an option.
What about the new Asus Zenfone 6? That is a pretty impressive phone, except it is and IPS screen and not AMOLED...otherwise, it has beast specs for a $550 phone as well.

I'm going to have to switch to another carrier once my credited BOGO phone monthly credit is gone in 10 months/paid off on VZW. Otherwise to leave, going to cost me $300...so yeah...then will switch to GSM carrier so I won't have these issues anymore, Verizon sucks...
