Hi guys,
I'm trying something new here, My Nexus 6 charging socket got broken but the phone was working fine until the battery got drained.
This Happened when I gave my mobile for repair, the fellow who supposed to replace the charging socket has broke it and now its not repairable or I have to change the whole motherboard (Motherboard is broken from where the sockets is attached).
Device is working properly but now I dont know where it can be charge using wireless charger or not. So I bought one QI charger which supports Nexus 6, I connected it and kept my phone for charging, Light starts blinking on the charging pad which I bought.
I'm here to understand that I'm I on the right track? or if the charging socket is broken I cant charge my phone through wireless charging?
Its been a hour or so..will update if the phone starts or show any sign or charging. till now screen is not showing any charging icon.
Thanks
Sumit
My Qi charger only blinks when it's not centered properly, should be a solid color. Mine is red then green when charged

Means its not charging maybe , cause mine is blinking.
will try something else then.
THanks mate
Should work. The one I have blinks blue when charging. If your battery indicator shows a lightning bolt, then it is working.

My nexus 6 starts when I keep it on wireless charger . It doesnt really charge when it's off .
For how long did u keep your phone on the wireless charger ?
I recommend to keep it until it switches on itself

Send me the phone and i will fix it for you then send it back!
Edit, nevermind i see you said that the mother board is broken next to the charging port correct? You can buy a FRP "Factory Reset Protection" locked N6 logic board for very cheap. But you need the knowledge of how to bypass the FRP since it is google locked. It can be done because i have bypassed it before!
I wish my S8 plus was rooted?

Hi,
I have a HTC wizard and recently when i was using it the screen went blank. (i lost my original charger and had to get a replacement Moto Razr Mini USB charger since my town dosnt even have a proper store!!!)
I ended up charging the phone for a while and then when i disconnected the charger to use the phone it just went blank and will not turn on anymore. Even the Battery Charging (orange) LED will not turn on. What do i do? should i get a new battery? or should i try getting another charger?
thanks

assuming it was working properly before it crashed, you will probably have to either find someone else with a wizard and have them charge your battery for you, buy a new battery put it in the phone, boot up and leave it connected to the USB for a full day to charge it up completely. Search the forums for the 9V battery revival trick, it may help you get booted up and be able to save the cost of a second battery.
dont get a battery a waste of time
the problem is the charger I have confimed this. In my environment we have about 10 Razors and 20 MDA's. This is a common complaint amougst our users. The motorola charger don't work on the MDA'S. I promise you if you get another charger it will work. Also if you plug your sync cable in to a pc it will charge this should prove my point.
Hi.
My xda stellar is not charging but in a very strange way...
The orange led is glowing and in power menu i get the "charging" notification but in fact the device is not charging... :S What's wrong??
I think that it happened after i tried to charge the device using a motorola charger. I don't have the original charger i used to charge it with an htc mini usb charger that i had.
The pins of the usb port seem ok...
For the moment i'm charging the battery outside of the device.. :/
Any suggestion?
Could be an old dried used up battery.
I tried a second one(new) that's not working too.....The device was working perfectly until i tried the motorola charger..
Hey, I'm having the same problem and I seeing as i brought the phone second hand it didn't come with an official charger and just used the USB mini i have laying around. Again I have replaced the battery thinking it was that. Nada. Still doing it.
I've taken the phone apart and cannot see anything wrong.
So I was wondering until the problem is solved, how are you charging the battery externally?
Thanks

I have this charger but on the note 8 (ok on S8+) it keeps giving me a bleep and the message "wireless charging enabled" pops up on screen every few minutes. The green charge light remains lit. Any ideas what is going on?
I've tried it vertically and horizontally and same effect.
thanks

I have one similar to that (amazon chinese one) and it will not fast charge on my note 8 but it will slow charge wirelessly but it doesn't oscillate and stop charging like you are describing. Works fine fast charging my note 5. Hard telling about some of those chinese wireless chargers. Are you using a samsung or equivalent qc 2.0 adapter? If so and it is still oscillating on and off it is a connection issue between the coils or some other quirk with the charger. Do you have another wireless charger that you can test with?

Hi Yes using the samsung charger. Its weird as the green light remains on suggesting its still charging but I get the bleep and message. I might bin it and buy a chotech one as it seems to have good reviews.
thanks
Hmm I'm not sure where the problem lies - I now have a choetech and a replacement for the other one I reported above. However the problem continues...
When the phone is fully charged it pops up on screen saying its 100% charged....then it seems to switch back to charging mode and again pops up saying its 100% charged shortly after.
This appears to be a constant cycle and rather than just keep it topped up in the background it tells me so...during the night this is a major distraction as the screen lights up each time.
It doesn't do it via the USB cable.
Anyway to disable the notification? Its not an app so can't find the permissions.
thanks
Hello everyone I need some help figuring out what wrong. 3 weeks ago my wife dropped her nexus 6 and broke the power contact on ribbon cable. I ordered one online and it worked great until the phone started turning itself off show 50% or more battery. I would charge it to 100% and at below 85% life it would shut off. I tried the battery bin file deletion but it did not work so I ordered a new battery and a midframe because the original was dented. I installed the Midframe and battery yesterday and now it does not power on or show a screen when charger is plugged in. I can put it on the wireless charger and the charger light shows charger light shows it working. I did try to reinstall the old midframe and Battery and I still have the same issue. I don't know what I did wrong. If anyone has had a issue like thing please steer in the the right direction.

Hi...
For a while now I've had a problem with my Note 9 only displaying that it is regular charging when plugged into my fast charger plug and cable. I tried a numbr of troubleshooting steps from restarting, cleaning the port, trying safe mode, buying replacement fast charger and cable, factory settings, rooting but it still only showed as cable charging so I became convinced it was a physical problem with the port. Wireless fast charging continues to work as it should.
I recently installed AccuBattery and when plugged into my fast charger/cable, the charge current completely fills the the green bar to between 1800-2000 mA so now I'm beginning to wonder whether fast charging is working ok, but the phone is reporting it incorrectly.
Does anyone else know what kind of charge current the Note 9 should have when cable fast charging please? Also, just out of curiosity, what should it be when wirelessly fast charging too please?
Thanks for any help...

I know this is ridiculous question. Did you enable it in battery setting?

I started charging at 25%. With screen on I got 2700mah.
I left my phone off for 15 mins and stayed at that 2700mah average.
When I turned my phone screen on, I had 45% but screen on charge dropped to 1000mah.
If you look at the bottom of my screenshot, it explains why you need to turn your screen off to get accurate fast charge Numbers. Your phone might throttle the screen on charge if a certain criteria is met.
Once again. Did you enable it in the settings?
I am eagerly awaiting your response... [emoji3]

Thanks for the reply.
Hmmm the numbers you get do seem to suggest there is an issue with my phone. The screen off speeds are around the same as screen on.
Samsung quoted about £10,000,000 to repair as it's rooted and they have to replace the entire board to satisfy their warranty terms.
May have a go at replacing the charging port myself.
Thanks again :good:

I don't use fast charging, ever. So that's probably why my port still works. I have gotten so much dirt in it and cleaned it out it isn't even funny. So I'm less 6 to believe that fast charging is what ruins the port not debris.
A lot of people who use fast charging have the same issue as you-,it burns out the port.
Honestly, my advice is to love with fast charging over wireless and not spend a billion dollars replacing the port. Wait until it's time to replace the battery in a year or two and do it then. Fast charging over cable only saves you 30-40 minutes. I can charge and do charge my phone normally and it only takes around an hour and 40 minutes.
