Meaning what exactly? Not enough info to understand what this means (how exactly you tried, the specific results/outcomes, etc.). When booted to TWRP, you should be able to see internal storage on your computer, and be able to just drag and drop files as desired.

[Q] problem with sdcard

Hello everybody
After two days of research and attempts, I finally gave up and decided to ask for direct help.
So, a week ago I rooted an Orange-branded Ace and flashed a few ROMs over the next 3-4 days to try to find the one that could suit better.
However, I screwed up something cause at some point in the process the internal sdcard was not seen anymore.
I mean, I can still go in Recovery or Download mode, flash stuff through Odin, boot without problems and use my phone.
Although, any direct access to internal storage is forbidden.
So, no rooting.
Both 2e and 3e CWM can't mount sdcard.
The type of messages I get :
When I pick "apply update from sdcard" -> E:Failed to mount /sdcard (No such file or directory)
When I rebbot after flashing -> -- Appling Multi-CSC... Installing Multi-CSC. Can't access to '/system/csc/whatever/system/'.
No way to get a USB connection either (different computer were tried), all with drivers correcting installed.
Also tried to get to the storage mass with MiniTool partition Wizard or through Disk management, but nothing.
Factory reset is useless, as well as any recovery's wiping process.
No sdcard formatting is possible.
I flashed several stock firmwares, went all the way back to Froyo, but nothing.
I wanted to try and flash a rooted stock rom, but couldn't find any /:
Hopefully one of you will come up with the fix.
Anyway, thanks in advance to everybody.
Cheers

Sdcard is an external memory, and yes you can't manage it without root permissions so when you connect your phone via USB to your pc you can't see your internal memory partition, only the external (micro sd-card).
Maybe your sdcard is corrupted, try to format it with an USB adapter and then try again

Hey, thanks for the reply
Although, I'm afraid I might not have been clear.
I haven't mounted any microSD so far and I've always been able to access to /mnt/sdcard (before screwing up).
Now, after flashing anything on the device, trying to access to My Files - or whatever file manager - will result in a dead end, since no sdcard is seen by the device itself (so, for example, I have no access to DCIM, or Music, Movies, anything).
I can't format the device cause:
- the computer doesn't see it (although drivers installed), not even from Disk Manager
- general disk-formatting/wiping softwares don't see it
- formatting from Recovery is impossible

Well, I'm gonna explain my post...In my opinion your SD-CARD is corrupted!!! so format YOUR SD-CARD, NOT YOUR PHONE!
Use an USB sd-card adapter!
Right?

But you're talking about the microSD, right?
What I mean is that, at the moment, I don't have one mounted in the phone.
I've had one before having problems, but I messed up partitions, so had to format everything anyways.
But, right now, it's out of the phone.
Also, as I was saying, I cannot access common folders like Music or Downloads, nor can I drop the update.zip on the internal memory to root, and I don't think any of this has anything to do with external storage /:

".../sdcard/music
/sdcard/downloads
/sdcard/DCIM..."
All the folders you are saying, they are in sd-card folder so.... and ROOT.zip must be in SD-CARD to flash it....
Did you try to do wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache via stock rom then when you finished to flash the stock¿?

I'm sorry, but I might be misunderstanding.
All these folders are in the sdcard folder.
But the sdcard folder is internal, not a microSD, am I right?
When you suggest that the "SD-CARD" might be corrupted and that I should format it, are you referring to the sdcard folder?

Yep. I've flashed (several times) 2.2.1, 2.3.5 and 2.3.6 stocks, wiping everything before flashing and right after having flashed, but I'm always stuck with no access to /sdcard or failure to mount /sdcard..

/sdcard = external memory = YOUR MICRO SDCARD!!!!! = THE THING YOU INTRODUCE INTO THE SIDE SLOT!! NOT INTERNAL MEMORY!!!
I'am refering to your SDCARD (above you can see what sdcard means)
And yes all these folder are saved in it
The Galaxy Ace does NOT have an internal sdcard. /sdcard is the external sdcard.

Hi inthered, I think this is getting confusing.
Sd card is the external storage, where you usually have the data, music, photos, etc. Is this sd card that your Myfiles see, if it isnt there Myfiles cant see anything, cause it cant access internal storage.
To access internal storage you must be rooted and have an app that could do that. I believe you said that your phone inst rooted, so you can only see external storage and seems that it isnt there. So you cant access all that folders ( music, etc,) cause they arent there
Have to mount SD first. You can format SD with Mini tool partition Wizard, in FAT32, and use it only as external storage.
Or you can create in this external storage one partition to help manage the internal storage, but that partition wont be seen by normal apps, like Myfiles, ou PC explorer, and you need to be rooted and everything else that didnt worked first time [but it works, I guarantee that]
To finish, internal storage can only be seen in rooted devices and with some apps ( never Myfiles)
Sorry if I wrote too much, but everyone was right, it had to be better explained
Hope I helped
thanks a lot everyone.
sorry for having been insistent, but i really missed the point about the no-internal-sdcard issue (as you might have noticed).
found only today a little time to re-partition sdcard and flash, and it finally works.
thanks again

Custom recovery lost?

Hey guys so i backed up my v20b stock software via cwm and thought that it was going to be stored in some kind of internal storage forever (like cwm itself), but now i realised that after i done factory reset it is probably gone ) Is there a way to create a recovery file for cwm to restore to v20b?Or could i use some elses file?
Your backup is in the internal memory, unless you format or wipe it specifically factory reset will not erase it.
In development section there are a few roms based on official v20b ou can flash thhose if you can't find your backup

i had 2 backups on stock and i didn't delete any of them, just did the factory reset once. When i go to recovery mode CWM doesn't find any backups on internal storage...So where did they go?
Mount usb storage from recovery and check the cwm folder they should be in there unless you did "wipe data"
did you install any 4.2.2+ rom? if you did, your cwm is reading the "wrong" folder for backups. it's reading under data/media/0/whatevercwmbackupfolderis, instead of data/media/whatevercwmbackupfolderis
Go into custom recovery and select "Restore Back-up". It will work. I had the same problem .
Yeah, i also did wipe data/cache/dalvik/(as you do) before installing 4.4.2 , no backups in data/media/cwm, so i guess my backups are gone?
No, wipe data doesn't wipe internal storage, if formats everything except data/media which is where backups are
You must specifically select "format internal storage" to loose your backups
Is other stuff you had on internal sd still present?
they have to be there, unless you formatted internal sd. try searching around more with file browsers, sorry i cant be of more help

no, but i do factory reset every time. Rom manager doesn't find anything, as well as cwm in recovery mode. Searched every CWM,DATA,BACKUP folder, nothing there.
i searched with ES file explorer with root access (i even created a new backup to be 100% sure root access is on, the new backup appeared in data/media). Btw, how much internal storage is there after factory reset? Because with Beanstalk i get 11,8 of 12,2, i was sure those 400mb where my software backups....

factory reset and /sdcard

Sorry if this is a noob question... But the N6 is the first phone that I've had with internal SD storage. What kind of wipes will erase the /SDCARD directory? The reason I ask is if I'm doing Titanium backups to /SDCARD, does that mean I occasionally need to move those files off before I do any kind of reset / flash?
When in TWRP, go to wipe -> advanced. And UNCHECK "internal storage", you can select everything else. This will wipe everything except your stuff on the phone (pics, files, titanium backup folder, etc.).

Deleted internal storage in TWRP. Need Help.

I deleted the internal storage on my phone in twrp. What can I do to get everything back?
I think you're boned. Unless there is a way to pull the deleted data using software on a PC.
Fastboot factory IMG. Or use rom tool kit to flash a factory image. There is an option in twrp to connect to the PC where you can transfer files. You could always load a rom that way and flash a zip through twrp
As said above, you can still install a ROM. Or flash a factory image etc. But the data (pictures, videos, music etc) is gone. It was formatted and not likely able to be recovered. I assumed that's what you meant, when you asked to "Get everything back"?
My sad sad self went and did this. Still in TWRP. I've mounted system, data, and cache. I see the Nexus 6 in Windows 7 and see Internal Storage; it's empty. I cannot create new folders or copy files (ROMs, GApps, zips, etc) into Internal Storage without getting "The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected." I cannot for the life of me find another way to push files to the phone.. Any help is greatly appreciated!

EDIT: Is it still possible for me to follow Mr. Hoax's Tut through bootloader? (I'm really nervous to try and reboot into BL) It says I don't have an OS (obviously) when I get to the confirm reboot of TWRP...

[Q] HELP Deleted internal in TWRP

This is the first time I've done this so I have NO idea how to fix it . I was just flashing a new rom
when I accidently checked off system in WIPE. Everything is gone obviously. Can someone please tell me what to do from here? I have no access to a computer till later today. Any help is appreciated thank you!
Update: internal storage is also deleted. The phone has nothing. No OS what so ever.
What do i do?
Thanks for any help
You deleted system or internal storage? If just system then reflash the rom. The zip should still be on your phone
your sdcard contents are still there, since sdcard "lives" in /data/media NOT in /system
proceed to flash whatever ROM+gapps you were going to install, wiping system is actually one of the steps many people do when doing a clean install
if internal storage is deleted you have 2 options
1. copy ROM and gaps on a USB flash drive , use a OTG cable to connect them, reboot into recovery , mount USB-OTG, you can install whatever zips you have on the flash drive
2. push the files to the sdcard from your computer using ADB push

TWRP Supports MTP connections. Plug the phone in via USB then go into "Mounts" and "enable MTP". Then just drag and drop the files into internal storage
