Hi, I've just reinstalled my phone, I'm on beta, and I wasn't able to select my 3t, only my tablet. So I tried to find out what was wrong. Everything seems to be right, but no backups are made. Anyone has seen this before and knows how to fix it?
Any help is appreciated!
Cheers!
Make sure that your Google account is syncing properly on the OP3T.
Hi, thanks for your reply. I think it's all set in the right way. See attachment.
Problem somehow solved. After months. Not sure why, maybe because of this topic

Hello Everybody!
So, the thing is that I bought a brand new DS7 from ebay recently, and it has Honeycomb in it, but about a week ago things went wrong -actually I'm not sure if it was good before. The tablet does not work on the proper way. First of all, I tried to install iGO on it, but it didn't let me to do it. So I can't install apps. And there are times when I can't connect it to the computer...and etc. I was wondering if it has a proper Honeycomb in it...so the point is that I decided to delete everything from it and reinstall the Honeycomb myself. I'm not very into these things, so it's a big effort for me to do this.
I have been searching for tutorials for 2 days. I think I found the right one somewhere here on this website. I've closed it unfortunately and it was opened yesterday and I cleared yesterday's history for some other reasons...so I can't open it again.
So the last time everything was ready, so was I, to do the installing. But, the comp. was searching for some APX files, probably drivers, but it didn't find it. So I couldn't continue the installation.
I've been looking for these drivers for hours, but haven't found anything. So I decided to register to this site, ask you, experts where to seek and what to do.
I lost so much time on this that I shouldn't have...
Thanks for your help in advance!

Now I'm about to restore the whole device following this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1011654) tutorial. Hope it'll solve some of the problems.

Dude, try not to dobblepost. Its quite better when you edit the first one.
(By the way im not a native english speaker to but i hope you understand what i mean)
Could you write down how far you come. At which step do you stop? And if the drivers are a problem, please post your Computer OS, like Windows or Linux or Mac.
I have solved the problem. Should I delete this thread somehow?

No, you should post your solution in this thread. If someone has the same problem they may do a search and find this thread, and they can learn from you. Or if the solution was in another thread, post a link to that thread.
hah, okay The reason I didn't want to is because I think it's not a big deal. I have pushed the volume + and the Turn Off button then Factory Reset, and waited. Now everything's fine. The problem was, actually that I'd been doing...rather trying the reseting in a wrong way. I thought I should do it in the Settings/Privacy menu. But no. So It solved my problems. I didn't need to re-install Honeycomb as I'd thought the time I started this thread. I believed that the problem is in my HC, but fortunately no, so I'm going to sleep. Minden jót, srácok!
Ive searched and havent been able to find a solution to this, although Ive seen it asked before.
Galaxy Tab P100 bought from a pawn shop. It still has the prior owners (unknown) gmail info minus p/w. I cannot remove the account, or access market because of this. Everytime I tried to data reset (both via Privacy settings and also CWM), add a new rom, or add apps - after I reboot it goes back to the prior owner settings and apks.
I have Odin'd/Heimdall with different roms but they dont stick. Different kernels install though. Ive added two different CWMs. Superuser breaks after every reset - I gain, then lose, root. Ive rooted/added root explorer and deleted accounts.db and user.db - they go back after. Ive spoken with Sprint and we tried everything they had, as well as a ##786# and MSL number (resetting phone activation I think?). Their response was take it in to send back. I want to fix it myself.
It seems to me that this prior info is overriding and reinstalling every reboot, preventing any new flashing/etc from taking place.
Here is my question. I took it apart this morning and disconnected the battery (thinking maybe it will wipe any memory). But does it have a CMOS-type battery? I noticed there is a small round battery-looking connection soldered into the mainboard (see here - step 7/8 http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-Teardown/4103/1)
Does anyone know what this is? I dont really have anything to lose, but Im not great with a soldering iron, but will try. Im thinking this might be for the memory, and disconnecting/reconnecting this would erase any permanent user information, freeing it up for me to add mine.
Or if anyone has any new ideas I would appreciate it.
Thanks for the time. Ed

It is not a battery backed memory, it is a NAND chip.
Sounds like the chip gone bad.

Just an update.
I did not do anything with the round battery thing, as priyana stated the memory is stored on a nand chip. I put the tab back together.
I rooted again, and found the ea24 firmware and loaded it via odin. It took, but the prior user info was still there, and everything (I mean a crapload of apps) began force closing. I did confirm that ea24 was on it. I then flashed back to ef17.
I contacted Sprint repair store again, and they told me that they probably cant fix it, and its something they have to send back. They said that I have done all that they would do in-store.
I dont understand what could be wrong, as I found the prior owner and spoke with her. She had no issues with it. It worked fine prior to her getting rid of it. And it works fine, I just cant get rid of any prior info. I googled it and it seems like there are people out there who have the same problem, but no one has an answer, including sprint or samsung.
So much for my venting. Ill keep trying to find an answer.

First of all, I'd like to apologize for posting something that won't really help, but I recognize this from somewhere else. On some devices, there's some kind of file (that you can delete via the adb prompt when you're root) that on every bootup checks to see if the installed ROM matches stock, and if not, restores to stock. This sounds exactly what you're experiencing when you mention that no ROMs "stick".
I think you should try to look into if there's some files that need to be erased in order for a ROM to be cleanly installed that you haven't gotten rid of. It might also be some kind of feature that the previous user enabled, so maybe it's somewhere around in the settings that you can disable it, who knows.
It definitely does not sound like a memory issue because I don't see how a memory issue could make the stock ROM suddenly appear again after you've installed a custom ROM through CWM (assuming CWM gives no errors or anything and the custom ROM has actually been wiped).
Maybe you can do a more thorough wipe of the device memory manually with some guidance from someone who knows more about how these tablets work :fingers-crossed:
I agree with you about some type of file and bootup. Thats why I went with maybe it being a cmos/nand issue. I couldnt understand that I wiped everything, and information was still coming back. It makes me think that somewhere, something is being stored separate from the main drive.
Ive used the factory restore, CWM (2 different versions - 3 and 5 I believe), and wiped data (factory reset), cache and Davlik three times each before I flashed the CM ROMs. And I have not had any errors or problems installing any of the CWMs.
I spoke with the previous user, and she did nothing above turning it on/off, and using it. I am not on the Sprint network with it, and the wi-fi doesnt turn on until I set it up, so I cant see it being something that contacts Sprint and OTAs from them.
Can anyone tell me if, using ADB, there is a more thorough wipe I can perform ? More than the normal one done through CWM or Android factory restore?
Something similar to the reformatting of a hard drive?
Thanks
Ed
I have the same problem. Did you find any solution?
I believe the previous owner info is stored on sprint servers. When you reboot, it downloads all the crap.
The long time required to reboot explains the slow transfer of data - wireless.
These wireless service providers are pretty sneaky.
Thanks
Hi,
Have you tried formatting both internal and external Sd via Windows? (connecting via USB)
You can also try CM10, it has a different memory map which will write your device completely.

do not do anything else with your drive until you've tried to run this through it, deleted items are never really deleted, they are flagged by the drive as ok to be overwritten, if you start to install things or add things to the drive again, you will be overwriting the lost data that you actually want back and then theres a high chance you'll never get it back.

i have already tried recuva, but nothing good happen..
Thx anyway mate..
Hello Everybody!
My Girlfriend has a Galaxy S3 Mini I8190 and I rooted her phone to uninstall all the Google and Samsung bloatware with AppMaster.
Unfortunately now she can´t send SMS anymore. They just stay in "sending" and don´t go out. I guess it´s because I deleted also Samsung Push App. Usually I Backup the deleted apps. Since I never had a problem after deleting sysapps I didn´t save them this time.
Please tell me which SysApps are needed to send SMS and I also need someone to make me this Apps available to download since I didn´t make a backup.
your help is highly appreciated, have a nice day and thanks a lot.
P.s: I just saw that I also dont have samsung push, so its probably not that.
have you tried factory reset that should sort it & then go on from there, but be a little more careful this time...
solved

Thanks for the reply, I could solve it by myself. It wasn´t caused by any application I uninstalled but by disabling the messaging app with the autostart manager.
Hello everyone. First of all, sorry for the long post.
I just bought a OnePlus 3t three days back. Updated it to oxygen 4.1.3 and then rooted it as well. Everything was working fine. But then I decided to downgrade to 3.5.4 since I wanted to try out Xposed Framework. So I downloaded the OS from OP Support website, and went to twrp recovery and installed the os 3.5.4 from the internal memory of the phone. It seemed to install properly but when I rebooted the phone, it started asking for a password. I tried every possible combinations of my passwords but to no avail. I saw online and found some video where I was supposed to flash a new recovery which I did. After that the phone got stuck in Bootloader. There is no bootloader and recovery version detail available on this screen.
If I try to restart the phone it gives me the following error, "Decryption Unsuccessful - Your phone storage has been damaged, unable to read data stored in your phone! To continue to use the phone, you need to reset the phone." There's a button at the bottom of the screen to Reset Phone. When I click that the phone goes back to bootloader mode.
Please help me out here. I have no clue what to do right now. I have tried flashing several recoveries but they give an error "cannot determine the image filename for abcd.img"
Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thanks in anticipation.

Thank you for the reply. I haven't yet tried it, since the computer recognises the phone just fine. It even shows up in the fastboot devices list in cmd. Maybe, I should give it a go.

Ok so I did manage to reinstall twrp. But I have no idea what to do next. Any suggestions ?
I managed to fix it. After the twrp recovery was installed, it started asking me for a password. Which I tried and didn't work. But then I just wiped the phone and it went back to factory settings somehow.
Now the phone is back to oxygen 3.5.4 and works fine.
Hope this can be helpful to someone else.
I'm glad u fixed it
Can u please post the correct steps to avoid this issue in the first place .
I'm on 3.5.4 but I may want to try latest versions and come back to 3.5.4
