I have first CC with 27946.002. I fugured it is not the one which cannot update itself, it has that issue fixed, is not it? It reports that there is an update but it fails to update itself, not sure why. It does not boot flashcast, they cable and usbstick are ok and detected by my Motorola MotoG. SSH and telnet work too.
I tried Flashcast-AutoRoot, it said it installed but it is not clear at all how to update from there - doing "force update" in the web interface does not suceed.
The aim is to flash it with some recent google rom. Where to look for detailed logs? What else to try? Thanks!
Flashcast Autoroot has nothing to do with "back to Stock"
Please dl the stock FW, prepare the usb Stick and flash the FW so as the first time.
After the FW is back to stock, there is no way back

Does it mean via FlashCast ("dd if=flashcast-1.3.bin of=/dev/sdb") and powered otg cable? I am missing a bit of terminology here.

I did, this involves flashcast which does not start on my device for some reason :-/
And I assume that the OTG cable is fine as when in Eureka, "ls -'la /sys/class/block" shows the USB stick with partitions.
Does you've prepared the usb stick with the same procedure to put the stock image on the stick?
For the update, you must only connect the USB with an OTG to the CC and start the CC during hold the Reset button... you don't must insert - somewhere - any command
I have just restore one of my CCback to stock ... So I have another one still as Spare
It's works without any problems ( ok, I never come back ).
So as mention before :
following this video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B6c34jqFHxY
and only replace the Root.zip with a Google.original.stock Image ( in video ~3:00 Min. ) , connect the CC on a TV to see the progress. After a while, the Stock Image boot and a few minute ago, the update to the latest version start....

My phone is no longer capable of making a USB connection.
Now i want to revert it to stock, i thought i did so but it turns out the stock CWM rom I installed has some mods like root and busybox.
I was wondering if it is possible to flash an older stock rom through cwm and then have the phone auto update to the newest version? I also wonder if OTA updates update the baseband?

Thats what i think will happen, I want to fully revert to stock first though and check that.
You can use this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1617458
Thou it won't be a clean stock and you probably need the stock kernel for your region to be inside or it can be seen.
If connecting the phone with the battery out, vol down pressed and it still doesn't change into the flash mode you can be sure the usb is dead. (provided the cable is 100% working)
it looks like that might work.
Do you know if Q is older than R and if my phone will auto-update to R?
Status update:
* Manually installed CWM using terminal
* Followed Kag's link and installed that ROM
Rom appears to be fully stock, but I'm not getting an OTA update to v20r.
I need to be on r because q was never officially released, at least not in my country so my phone should not have it.
Any ideas for getting it updated?

I used those links to flash 10a.
But it still says no OTA updates are available.
Could it be due to CWM?

That should be due to LG server's load . Guess u could wait for it to appear, eventually, or just create a new 20R.
It looks like it's blocked on the software level and will only let you check once ever X period?
Its telling me that there is no update available without even trying to connect, the answer comes so fast.
Yes...i believe i once read about that somewhere in here.
Which baseband are you on now?
218
Thats a bugger..sorry .Dont think theres another way to update bb except from flashing.
About OTA ,doesnt work for any country.
Ill b checking on this one though as it interests me too.
This script returns to unrooted, factory state android 4.0.4.
1. Download this zip - Quicker download here:
http://www.mediafire.com/?pzrzrt3583rgbmf
2. Backup your phone (everything! sd, apps, games etc).
3. Plug in your phone, turn on USB debugging.
4. Unzip the downloaded files.
5. Open run.bat
6. Type in Y then press enter.
7. It does the rest.
Had to do this since i'm sending off my phone to samsung, basically used this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1167819&highlight=unroot
and updated the images for 4.0.4 and for i9020t/23 (this won't work for nexus 4g or i9020a). It worked well for me so I thought someone else might find it useful.
If you're having problems it's probably because you haven't installed the windows drivers correctly, I can't really help you there (google it or something!)
If you want to thank anyone, go to the other thread and thank michaelpeerman. All credit goes to him.
Edit: By request, someone wanted the same thing but for 2.3.6, so here is the link for that

My understanding is that you require root to flash any ROM, this would be no exception. It wouldn't be that hard to root and then run the tool though.
But there'll be no problem rolling back to 2.3.6 from stock (rooted) 4.0.4?

Hi,
I got a really f******g problem with my NS. The power button is out of service. Thus my only aim is to get back to the unroot locked bootloader rom in order to send it to samsung.
I tried to do that manually with cmd.
I tried via Odin
I tried via your one click zip
I used my computer (the one i used to root it for the first time, guessing the drivers didn't change). Everytime, the command got stuck at 'waiting for device'. I thought it was a driver problem, tried to reinstall sdk, reinstall drivers. I'm still blocked at waiting for device.
I tried with another 'virgin' computer. I installed PDAnet to get drivers and make sure they work. (tried CMD or with your one click zip..) I'm still still stucked at waiting for device. However, my device do is recognised by both computers..4
Any idea?
Is my ****ing power button messing around?
Two days i'm drudging on this.. I'm thinking about suicide by now..

This scripted tool (Windows Only!) I have written and packaged will allow you to return back to the stock OTA path from ANY single ROM (stock or custom) you might be running or even if your device is soft bricked at the moment (without even requiring RSD Lite).
Download the zip file: http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23487008491965516
Unpack the zip file to your PC
Install Motorola Drivers First!
Then run the TOOL file and follow the instructions to guide you
I have also included some screenshots and an Emergency Fix in case you are stuck in Fastboot for whatever reason and need to restore back to stock and then continue the tool (automatically continues from the fix).
WARNING THIS WILL COMPLETELY WIPE ALL DATA INCLUDING YOUR INTERNAL STORAGE!
MAKE SURE TO BACKUP EVERYTHING YOU NEED BEFORE USING THE TOOL OR THE EMERGENCY FIX!
The emergency utility was able to get me out of my soft brick. Thank you sir!

this has been bugging me for a while now. When I go into the bootloader interface, instead of the device saying 'ADB Tester', it says 'Bootloader Interface' and I cant even flash system images or things like that. If you need more information, please ask me. I need help as soon as possible so that I can update this watch so that it enables wifi. Thanks
You've got to give us more information
Screenshots
I hope these embedded pictures can speak for itself.
The first 3 pictures is the process of installing the update ZIP.
The last 2 pictures shows that the device is not an ADB device but a Bootloader Interface
If I'm not wrong, the zip you want to flash fails because needs android 5.1.1 and you have 5.0.2, is that possible?
Also, if that zip is only to enable wifi capabilities, why you don't update the system directly? The last stock rom enables official wifi
Anyway, that error happends only with this zip of with another ones?

Isn't it normal that your computer shows Bootloader Interface when your device is in bootloader mode?
Can you try to use this TWRP img : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7aWmhGnkGTpcWlMT0Z2WDh3Z1k/view It's made by lion567 and he changed the fingerprint of the watch so that watch is recognized as 5.1.1 and not 5.0.2. It also contains the intersectRaven's Kernel.

Usually says adb interface but I flashed back from a costume rom to a ROM provided by intersect. That's when I cannot connect adb to my device when it is in fastboot mode. I can even flash new boot or IMG files from there. And when I get back, I'll try your link.

No problem I'm here to help But thank you for your very nice words. They're really nice to read. And big thanks to @lion567 too, because he is creator of the modified twrp recovery. I've only shared it.

Hello.
I've been playing with some custom ROMs, recoveries, etc. on S10 SM-G973F. Every time something went wrong I was able to flash stock Android 11 ROM with Odin and run the system after that. But not anymore...
At this moment I have access to Recovery Mode (stock, TWRP, LineageOS... whichever I flash with Odin) and Download Mode. When I try to power on the phone with button or with an option Boot to System from Recovery the phone turns off and nothing else happens. Black screen only, no vibration, etc.
I tried to format data and cache in Stock Recovery and TWRP. I tried to flash many time, changed USB cable, change USB port... nothing helps.
What is strange that after I flash the stock recovery the phone boots one time displaying the unlocked bootloader warning, Samsung logo and Android robot icon with an Erasing sign... but just for a 1-2s, very short time. Before the problem occurred the Erasing took much much more time. After that one time I cannot make to display bootloader unlocked warning and Samsung logo any more, no matter which ROM or recovery I flash.
Maybe you can try installing the original firmware and start over again.
That is what I do in the first place, I try to flash the original firmware with Odin. I use the same files as before. The only difference I can see is that after the flashing the Erase progress was very long and now it is only 1-2s and the phone turns off.
Ok, I've found my mistake and a solution. I will post it here if anyone else has a similar problem.
So while I was playing with different ROMs one of them had an instruction to flash G973FXXSCFUH5-twrp_flashable.zip that included:
modem.bin
dt.img
dtbo.img
cm.bin
sboot.bin
up_param.bin
keystorage.bin
uh.bin
The zip included was to an older firmware G973FXXSCFUH5, while I was already on newer G973FXXSEFUJ2. But the TWRP that I used to flash the zip did not protest and the process finished well. Causing the problems above of course.
Don't know why but flashing the whole original G973FXXSEFUJ2 firmware with Odin was not enough. But when I flashed G973FXXSEFUJ2-twrp_flashable.zip from the TWRP worked and made the phone operational again.
hello, I am in the same situation after having wanted to install blastui I find myself with the possibility of starting only in dow load or in twrp. Can you help me

0. Make sure your phone is charged!
1. Check your current SW# in Download mode (the number stands for the number or letter in firmware code, the 5th sign from the end in hexadecimal, for example SW# 14 is E in G973FXXSEFUJ2_G973FOXMEFUJ2)
2. Find the proper version of bootloader and modem in ....-twrp_flashable.zip format (check here: https://github.com/corsicanu/9820-bootloaders_and_modems/releases)
3. Flash and run TWRP recovery.
4. Flash the zip file from #2.
Flashing the stock firmware with Odin was not enough for me. Flashing with TWRP made the S10 back to alive.

There is not much more to explain, just follow the steps I pointed. If any of them are not clear enough just ask, but I tried to make them as simple as possible If your English is not to well just try to use Google Translator.

Best way to go back to stock rom is simply flash it with Odin from original files available from Samsung, for example on SamMobile:

Thanks for the help brother I appreciate it
For months I've tried searching for a solution to fix my SM-N976U that stopped booting up. None of the symptoms shared fully matched what I was experiencing, so every fix I attempted didn't get her fully functioning again, eventually I gave up trying, stuffed the phone in a drawer and just bought another one. Today I stumbled upon your post and every symptom you described fit exactly with what happen to me, I mean to the T, minus the model and fw version. So I grabbed my SM-N976U one more time and followed your solution... and guess what??? I am now a proud owner of 2 note 10 plus'!!!
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience and solution!! Cheers to you bud! Have a great New Year!
Thank you~! my s10 plus is back!
