How i DEBRAND My P9 to European Rom from Asian - Huawei P9 Questions & Answers

I'm using P9 (Asia Version) i want to debrand to Europe version. Tell me guys how i do it?

don't do it my friend. the country code can bring big problems. you won't be able to install any update. There are to date option to change that configuration. and above all, you won't be able to return to stock. you will lose the warranty and you can't even update it with TWRP. These are the official information.

Working B817 for Non-Vodacom Users without CUST Error & Changing Vendor CUSTC Version
After several days searching for the vendor UPDATE.APP for CUSTC02 on the web. Unluckily, I was not able to find it. So I decided to make my own vendor UPDATE.APP compatible for B621, just to install this B817 Lollipop/3.1 version without CUST error. To install this B817 of Vodacom without CUST error, you have to change your vendor version to CUSTC02. Below are the vendor UPDATE.APP which you can use in the future. I made this vendor UPDATE.APP. So, I am not responsible for any bootloop or bootloader locked of your phone. Do it with your own risk.
1. You must be in full version of B621 to make the vendor UPDATE.APP work. (I am not sure if this UPDATE.APP will work on other version. But I think not. But I hope so it will work.)
2. Download and extract the vendor UPDATE.APP correspond to your preferred vendor version below.
3. Change folder name "dload_vendor_custc02_vodafone_za_b621 to dload".
4. Copy and paste dload folder to your SDCARD root directory.
5. Update your phone. You can use either Normal or Force update.
6.a. For CUSTC02 version. You will encounter a CUST fail error, just ignore it. (Because B621 has no vodafone cust file).
6.b. For CUSTC432 & CUSTC433 you can successfully update it without error.
7. Delete or rename dload folder previously you used.
8. Finally install B817 Lollipop/3.1 firmware of vodacom.
Good Luck and enjoy full and final Lollipop/3.1 version.
1. dload_vendor_custc432_hw_eu_b621
2. dload_vendor_custc433_hw_meaf_b621

4. dload_vendor_custc408_hw_naf_b621

please read the tut carefully. i clearly stated that need to be in B621. if you can directly use that on B817. then i won't bother typing a long tut.
Did you downgrade from B817 to B621?

New update

Who know witch things have the new update ?
i want to know why the update is 1.64GB if the only thing that is doing is to change the calendar and the theme icon... i think it have to do someting more , please tell me
In the screenshot this the full rom, not the OTA update. That is why you see 1.64GB. The OTA update is much smaller in size. Did you receive B390 as an OTA update?

Hi everyone, is there a method to make the debrand even on the P10 Lite?
And why is not there a section dedicated to the P10 Lite yet?

I'm interrested in debranding the p10 lite, too. Vodafone Germany sucks.
Hi there,
I also have a Huawei P10 Lite WAS-LX1A, from Vodafone UK.
It's unlocked, I'm using my EE SIM on it, and also boot loader unlocked as well.
I'm trying to flash a generic firmware on it, I've downloaded 3 or 4 different ones and followed the "dload" folder method to no avail, it just won't work.
Is there any other way to manually install a firmware on this phone?
Thanks

fastboot should work. That way I was able to flash magisk/root the P10 lite, twrp and some preview beta of a lineageos build.
As soon as you have root access, you should be able to remove preloaded bloat.

debrand p10 lite

hi
can anyone help with a debrand on a p10 lite single sim ,I am on WAS-LX1AC02B114 and I would like to change it to c432, I did it on my p9 but I cant find an srk tool like I used before. I have my bootloader unlock code so would just like a bit of help with the debranding. I have read several post but they seem to be users wanting dual sim whereas I don't want that .
any ideas would be much appreciated

if i unlock my boot loader and install TRP can I install any rom with a different region number i.e c432 c440 etc?
You must first flash the oeminfo c432 via twrp and then flash the desired firmware via stock recovery via update.app so I understand it
