About Carbon
CarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look at, build, and use our code on CarbonDev GitHub.
We would like to thank CyanogenMod for their device trees, framework/settings mods and their code that was incorporated into this project. We also extend our gratitude to the devs whose code that we have incorporated. Proper authorship has been maintained and can be viewed on our repository.
Special thanks also go to Slim Rom for some of their features, PA, AOKP, and anyone else we may have borrowed commits from that hasn't been mentioned here. If you feel you have been unfairly left out, please - let us know.
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash! If you have questions, ask your fellow users or ask us in #teamcarbon on freenode IRC.
Features
Simply stated, we can't really list features here. There are too many and they change too frequently, and we now support a truly insane number of devices. Chances are, if you like a feature, we have it already. Seriously.
Carbon Updates
Join us on these Social Media Channels to keep yourself up-to-date on all the latest Carbon news, updates, contests, and more! Join our completely open Google+ community for insider conversation with devs and other users.
Download Carbon
All Carbon downloads and further information such as features, changelog, and FAQ can be found on our goo.im page.
Both nightly and release builds are available. Please note that nightlies are for development purposes. This means that they may not work properly, may not flash, may not build for days at a time, and will probably eat your cat. If you flash these, know what you're doing, have backups, and don't complain when something happens. It's on you!

Support
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our goo.im page linked above. It's new, but expanding fast. Just like us!
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Join our G+ Community: http://community.carbon-rom.com This is where we spend the bulk of our time and the best way to reach us and other community members. We update and frequent this community far more than XDA, simply due to time constraints and the convenience of G+.
5) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.

Remember, every penny you send to us goes right back into the rom. It's used for hardware, server costs, etc - all the things that help us make Carbon better with every release. Your support means the world to us! If you've enjoyed Carbon, please consider a donation toward this goal. Thank you, and we hope you continue to enjoy Carbon!
Welcome to the unofficial CarbonRom thread for the NTT-DoCoMo Galaxy S III (sc-06d/d2dcm)
Make sure you have the correct device before you flash. These will not work on the i900 series.
These builds are not official because the kernel is not the standard CM kernel at this point in time. This is due to our device being a massive pain in the rear to develop for because DoCoMo likes to change things in their phones to make it "special". Thank you Dorkomo...
These builds are made by a very hard working developer by the name of @interlope. He's not part of the main Carbon team and does not receive anything from them. As a way of saying thank you for these builds we encourage you to donate to him.
https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=G9NQ5R43K8T8Q
If you are unable to do this, we request that you find some other way to contribute. Debugging is a very good way. Basically, we are looking for people who want to be active contributors and not just leech off others hard work.
The builds are now out of alpha and we have decided to open them up to everyone. However, to those that have and do contribute in the future I will be making modded versions of the roms with some extra goodies and such to show our appreciation. Keep checking those inboxes.
All builds are located here:
http://www.oudhitsquad.com/android/?dir=Samsung/d2dcm/carbon
The latest build (and all future builds) do not have Felica support.
If you are coming from stock there are instructions for rooting this device here:

Bug reports
If you have a bug to report make sure you get a log of it or you will be ignored and removed from the testers list.
I won't go into the details of how to take logs. There are lots of tutorials on these forums on how to do that. However, there is a convenient app that will take the appropriate logs and upload them to wherever you like.

At the moment is the PacMan nightly van 7november flashed. To install the PAC rom there is a need to also flash GAPPS.
When I want to try the carbon rom is there a need to flash another GAPPS file?
And if its needed where can I found the correct GAPPS file.

This is a Japan specific phone. If yours does not say sc-06d on the back of the device this is not the thread for you.

So builds are 100% non-sharable now? I just wanna be clear so I don't post a link a some point and get yelled at.
Is this a request from OUDHitSquad?
Might want to put JAPAN at the front of the thread title, and move the first lines from post 2 into the 1st post so people can quickly ID this as the Japanese variant thread.
This link might be helpful to people to people (posted on the old thread). Not sure if this is what you're meaning:

Please put that on the rooting thread. And be VERY careful about using it now. There have been massive changes to the kernel which may result in an unstable rom.
And to everyone else please check the second post for updates

Latest Build
V1.0, SlimKat 4.4.4 Build 6
Mobile data Doesn't work Confirmed
Auto Brightness doesn't work confirmed SlimRoms bug. It's only being polled every 10 seconds.
As far as I know, everything else is fine
I will upload the device folders at a later point closer to when SlimKat goes official for condor.
The kernel is pretty much stock, with minor edits to make camcorder work, and modules load.
Information and Requests
Firstly I'd like to massively apologise for not uploading this till now.
As some of you will already know, I have been somewhat ill due to the amount of work I have been putting in to my projects (no not for moto e).
To make up for this, I am posting a build now as a taster on the aosp qcom sources, rather than the newer caf based qcom sources. It's a daily usable rom, however later builds will have better performance.
I am also releasing a build of cm11 shortly.
XT1022 Is not supported as neither sim will work.
Now for the requests. at some point in the future (a few days, maybe a week), I will need access to the dual sim variant of the Moto E running stock. Ideally I will need access via TeamViewer to a windows or linux based pc with adb already set up, and an unlocked/rooted device that wants cm11.
I repeat.
Dual Sim is coming soon. Please stop asking
Thank you for being patient with me, but it will all soon pay off
from now on, If a question is asked that is answered already in the first page, or the last ten posts, or one that is easy to find with the search bar, please link this post to them.
Yay!! Thanks for your hard work! Will try this tomorrow
Just one question: Dual sim is supported?

No but I'll say the approach you should take to fix it.
To build, there is an error that shows from qcom/media. To fix that you had to patch a kernel header. Use git to find the commit the definition is made, and that will fix camera.
To fix bt, check the bt loading script in etc. You will notice there are two blobs missing. Running these blobs will show there is another blob missing.
What other bugs do you have?

First of all congrats man
Here are some of the doubts
Since I have a Indian version moto e (dual sim) as per the given information it won't support so my doubt is if I install this ROM will at least one sim work I don't care about other sim and hate dual sim and do I need to replace any files from stock ROM?
Thanks in advance

Ok thankyou to all the people who replied regarding dual sim. You truly are the best community I've been in so far.
Once I've got cm11 rolling I'll contact one of you to set up a build.
I know the fact that slim doesn't support dual sim is a disappointment, so here's the deal. If I get hold of a dual sim moto e, I will bring support for dual sim devices to Slim (probably unofficially).

The purpose of this thread is two-fold, I think. It is meant to be a venue for androidarmv6 (team) ,as most of their development is done off- site. It is also meant to be a place for hard core dinosaur lovers to test this work, and add to it as development proceeds. As androidarmv6 has brought us, the p500 community, through to working CM- 11, now we will start a new chapter, namely CM- 12. At the time of this posting, there have been several successful builds for the p500. But none are successfully booting, as yet.
I can't stress enough that most of this work is experimental, as the newer source code is being adapted to work on these devices. So unless you are okay with a possibly bricked (unusable) phone, don't flash any of these ROMs. Also, I do not have any responsibility or liability in the case that you should damage your phone by flashing any of this firmware. Also, your warranty will be voided. And I do not represent, and am not affiliated with androidarmv6. That said... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Congrats! Nice preface wording, bro! :good:
Great! and thanks.
I have not been using cm-11. Omni runs better and seems!! to have fewer bugs. Problem with cm is that when newer comes along, older bugs are left there. I guess we all prefer to play with the latest and greatest so not really complaining. My real problem with cm-11 is the special recoveries needed for it.
I would like to try cm-12 builds, but want to be able to get back to the omnirom. How do I get around the recovery changes (would be nice to have a cwm or twrp that asks on bootup: Want TSL? Switch system and data? But for now, I do not want to lose my alternatives or brick the phone.
How to proceed?
BTW: Link points to end-user builds (cm-11). We'll get there.

Bootloog attached.
It seems bootloop's culprit is regarding with dynamic shared libraries (lib*.so) which must be fixed first.
It does not work on any device arvm6.

A reminder: unannounced experimental builds that you may see on Jenkins are made by and for developers alone, and are definitely not suitable to be flashed by users. The cm12 totoro build from today doesn't install or boot, and I expect many future builds will be the same, so don't waste your time with it.
Also, a reminder of some things you shouldn't do (now or ever): don't ask for ETAs, don't spam the dev thread, and don't PM me asking for information that isn't on a public post.
There are many things that need to be fixed for armv6 devices. I've sorted out the major issues specific to Broadcom hardware, but there are more important issues that need solving for ARMv6 devices in general that are being working on by several people (assembly errors, ART compatibility, build system integration, etc.). It's going to take time. Thanks for your understanding.

Build cm_p500-userdebug-cm-12.0 (Jan 11, 2015 9:45:30 PM)
Androidmeda built it for testing via Jenkins, if you dare to waste your time!

If it works on s5360 it will also work on the P500. But this time it does not work perfectly on any device armv6. I will follow up if it worked on my s5360 will report over here.
Thanks for the update by @xu3sno

@Any PlayStore
also @CCXAlex (may be you have luck to try it, but I doubt )
Even Any PlayStore has quoted previously, just to satisfy my curiosity, insisted to install cm12-20150111_EXPERIMENTAL-p500.
Trimmed > clean installed > rebooted > boot loop As previous attempt, it seems lib*.so need to be fixed (?)
Don't know it's wasting my time or not

Yes, yes, we know or should know. But, hey, who does not want to be the first to see this play? The only reason I am staying off is because of the CM tricks with switching system and data partitions meaning recoveries are not compatible.
Anyway, diehards within the CM universe, once in that bootloop if ART had indeed done its thing, check remaining system space and contents of those /system/app/... folders. My (un-) educated guess is that this may become the big problem.

I also attempted to install this. Initially my trimming method seems to have broken update binary, so flash failed. Next installed full ROM (/system =189MB) using @HardLight twrp 2.7.0.0 TLS (successfully flashed). Stuck at boot animation. No log (flashing while driving).

Hey guys, I am making this post for everyone to see and to use as a resource.
I OWN NO THREADS THAT ARE LINKED IN THIS POST - HUGE THANKS TO THEM FOR MAKING THESE ROMS
When XDA gave us our own thread, people were really exicted to have our own thread to post ROM's to (we couldn't really find them), but Sony decided to not give us AOSP support. Which means no support from Sony, no kernel updates and no vendor sources, so at this point we were really stuck. There has not been a custom ROM from sources (just hang on, there is, I'll explain in a sec) so that means no CM-based ROM's. Until this point, we only have incomplete, buggy ports and UI modified stock ROM's with some optional settings, but we are still stuck on a stable 4.4.2. So there had to be a miracle...
And there was one.
@Caio99BR made a breakthrough the other day, starting with a custom kernel (Which you can find right here) and then he started on TWRP (a custom recovery which you can find here) and then he got to building CM11 from scratch. Not a port, from sources which we have built over the years. Again, you can find CM11 here. Again, congrats to @Caio99BR for building that kernel, recovery and ROM. He is developing it every day, and soon it'll be stable. Go check him out and give his profile some love
Well done also to the people that have built these ROM's that I am about to mention. Use this as a resource for these ROM's, as most are outdated. I will update this post if I find another ROM, and if I miss you, don't hesitate to comment or PM asking for your ROM to be put up here.

I hope this helped you, and if so enjoy the new freedom of Xperia E1!
Oh dear, I just realised I posted this in the wrong section, can a mod move it for me? sorry about that

Haha, wasn't suppost to come out that way, just showing some apprication XD
Good job, again, on CM11 for E1, will start using it soon
Just saying, Kizolicious may not be based on Stock ROM
I will wait a bit more until we can finally build ROMs ourselves, then I can finally mod the ROM the way I had planned (Kizolicious 11, Kizolicious 12.1, etc..)
Awesome, i'll update when it's confirmed. I don't think it's a problem about this thread being in here; its just easy access to the threads.
Update: Not updating this thread anymore, I no longer own this device and nothing's really changed anyways. Good luck devs with this device.
This is a thread to index all the development going on for the Motorola Z2 force (Sprint/T-mobile). I take no credit for any of this work. Please thank all the hardworking devs
Please PM Devs when you release or update a new ROM/Kernel so i can add it in .
This thread will be updated regularly
If the thread is just for one variant, it will have the variant in brackets. If it will work for both, the link won't state a variant.
