[ROM][4.0.4] IceColdSandwich 8.3 [Currently inactive]

Note: IceColdSandwich currently operates on old gingerbread kernel before HTC released vivo sources. I am examining the 3.0 kernel sources to see how compatibility is. Until things are working, ICS/JB AOSP/CM variant roms will be unofficial until we have a working kernel.

- Revert Camcorder to 8.1.1 camera, it will still have bugs but should be better than 8.2's camera (I tested). Sometimes it may FC, sometimes it won't, a few times the screen stays still but it is actually recording, other times it works perfectly. So it's just a crapshoot but won't be giving all those weird errors like 8.2 did.
- 2G toggle added to AOKP
- Updated/fixed some default APNs (o2 prepaid and Bulgarian carriers) hope MMS/internet works for them now
- Update to Trebuchet
- Changed Battery reporting values to default stock CM9

Wipe dalvik,wipe cache, wipe battery stats and see if problem persists. (Thanks to Psyloid for mentioning)
[B]Recommended test procedure to verify if it is a bug with your setup or the rom[/B]
1) Boot into recovery, make backup of your rom
2) Format all your phone partitions
3) Install latest IceCold Sandwich
4) Don't install any apps (unless you have 1 app that has the problem)
5) Test to see if you have the same problem
6) Check with Desire HD or this thread to see if others continue to have your problem
7) Report it if you see no one else has your problem

Yes, the face unlock code is only for the Desire S only, I believe.

Doh, the new compile broke the camera, however wifi is still working.
Think I copied over the wrong camera libs and somewhere in the make files I might have some wrong code.

Given the frequent support requests I decided to create this post to gather the most frequently asked questions regarding JellyBam v6. First of all you have to remember that our rom is based on Cyanogenmod 10.1, that actually is in nightly stage and Cyanog dev team is working to solve lots of problems like
- Wifi tethering/hotspot
- Some Camera problems (focus works 1 time on 20) SOLVED: SET MACRO in FOCUS TYPE
- Headphones secure volume
I also remember you that JellyBam 5.2 is solid and stable but only have USB Tethering, not Wifi.http://goo.im/devs/JellyBam
At the moment Siyah doesn't support Android 4.2.2 at 100%, so is strongly recommended keep the default kernel.
Now let's talk about JellyBam proper bugs:
- Touch responsive/KeyBoard Lag : Caused by PIE - Disable it in Pie Control/Trigger size/None
- Battery Drain : Caused by Media Scanner - Disable it in Android Tweaker, our apps that comes by default with JellyBam

"How can I enable AutoBrightness?" : Actually it only works if you use the toggle in the status bar - Put the brightness to Max then press AUTO.
"How can I solve the android.process.acore error?" : Go into Settings/Applications/Contacts - Delete data
"How do I edit custom toggles?" : Go into Settings/Custom tiles.
"How do I change DPI manually?" : Go into Settings/Paranoid Preferences/ Make a slide on the right and a Menu will appear on the left.
"I have signal problems, what can I do?" : Download GetRIL from PlayStore and verify your Baseband status.
"Why the last apps is not killed pressing the Kill All button?" : It's a new feature from AOKP that allows you to kill all the apps in background keeping on the only app that you are actaully using.

working so smooth!
three small bugs i've discovered so far, can anyone replicate them?
1. performance control force closes upon reboot once i activate voltage settings (set on boot). though not a big deal, simply leave it off.
2. wifi tether seems not to be working. icon shows up, but other devices do not see the phone.
3. "3 dot overflow menu button" always remains on, even if not set in the menu. would like to have menu as separate button.
despite those, definitely daily driver...

you need to tap 7 times on build number, under about phone.
and than enable it from developers options(you'll see that after doing the above).

Nice work, mate!
But I've encountered a error that when I changed the number of icon and functions on the navigation bar, then the force close of system UI happened.
I had to reinstall again and when I do the same actions, it was closed unexpectedly again and it kept showing the notification of UI error happened.
Does anyone have the same situation of mine?

lockscreen background at settings\PA section\lock screen\background.
nav bar works fine for me 3\4 icons and changed their shortcut as well.

Bro, I found the problem, you uninstall moto launcher and install again.
Maybe work... This problem is in all ROMs with Oreo):

Users, I have found some problems with the Pixel Launcher in the latest updates of Pixel-GApps and Pixel-Experience for Android 7.1, here is the little patch that solves it.

Moto Camera doesn't work on RR-Oreo.

Moto cam
You're Moto camera for Oreo now works great on Oreo roms that have went back to hal 1 instead of hal 3. I flashed the zip after flashing a Hal 1 rom and gapps. After going through the ROM setup wizard I let the camera app update through the play store and then open and set up the camera app. No FC, only issue which really isn't even an issue is camera tuner stops but from what I've read camera tuner is Motorola's way of updating camera firmware and wouldn't work on custom roms anyway so I just disable it. Thanks for the zip!!

Apologies if this a noob question but which ROMs have went back to HAL-1? I'm on the fence between RR & DU which are the only ones that have working volte for me but the camera is hit or miss and I'd prefer the Moto camera.

have you ever tried google camera v2(4.2.035.141213305)!i am sure it will not work in oneplus one,it will crash when you try to open the app if it open then hdr will not work and also video feature will also be broken!

Sorry, for now this rom is on unrooted state, but you can still flash magisk.

Just install it, it will make your mom happy, bcoz (Based on another users and testers) this rom is the most stable pie ROMs.

I just switched here from trr 3.0. It's so smooth. Didn't faced any bug as of now. Good rom. Gonna use this as my daily driver rom ?
