Hi,
I have modified some files from sys\module\qpnp_fg\ and sys\module\qpnp_smbcharger\ to modify some power settings based on a guide, but I forgot to back up them. I would like to rollback, so if anyone can upload these two folders from Stock nougat ROM would be really appreciated.
Thanks
Anyone please copy the above folders and send it to me. Thanks
These are from the hardware itself (or mostly likely kernel / dts*),
so a reboot most probably should restore the values to default ones

Parameters values are not getting restored, and they have same values I set. Are you sure they will get default values ?
Thanks

Yes, at least for me afaik it was the case when I modified it in the past,
always was default after a reboot or turning off and start the phone from scratch.
Would be good to know though how your values differ from others

I tweaked the build.prop on the D415. I find it manages RAM better than stock when combined with my kernel. However, startup and the ten minutes of using it after startup will be SUPER laggy, so give it around 15 minutes of using it before you judge wheter to keep it or not. I can now keep multiple applications open at once!
Edit: forgot to add link, oops: http://1drv.ms/1dDVdis It's a flashable zip btw.
EDIT: version 2 (not as laggy): http://1drv.ms/1LdFAg1
Just 2 questions, ignore if you aren't in mood for answering:
1. Will there be a D405n version?
2. Will you add those tweaks to your kernel for custom roms?
Once again, sorry for that, I know it must be frustrating
Can you tell us what exactly did you change in your build.prop ?

1. Yeah, I'll probably make one, but I gotta finish xkernel for d405n first because I just figured out the version I released won't boot. I'm busy this weekend, so that will probably happen in a few days.
2. No, some of these tweaks do not apply at the kernel level.

Lg stores minfree values in build.prop. I changed those to be less aggressive. I changed maximum apps to a really high number to let the lmk do the killing. I also applied some of the tweaks from here (such as panorama quality, etc):http://niranjanthilak.com/improving...evice-through-optimizing-build-prop-settings/
Note that I did enable lock launcher into memory, so disable that if you don't like it. If you're interested on the exact properties, run a diff between the one included in the zip and the stock one.
And this works on any D415 ROM?
Sent from my NEC-NE-201A1A using XDA Free mobile app
An interesting thing to do would be to grab the build.prop of phones with similar specs and compare them.
Obviously ignoring garbage brands and going after more flagship (older obviously) type phones which would have seen the most usage.

That's a good idea, I think I'll try and look at the moto g.
I took some minfree settings from moto G and it's not as laggy anymore, try version 2 guys.
If I provide you with build.prop from D405n would you able to make the changes for it too ?

Sure, I should be able to make the same changes. I don't know if the settings that helped the D415's multitasking would help the d405n though.

Let me know when you finish it so I will test it.
Should I also test it with your kernel ? Will the effect be better ?

I'll get working on that. As for the kernel for the d405n, every recent build fails to boot and I'm trying to figure out why

I don't know, can someone upload build.prop from kitkat, preferably d415? Seems memory management was already pretty good on KitKat though.
Here's a D405n version, containing the new minfree values.

On the D415 version, a lot of lines have been added that weren't previously there by apps like pimpmyrom. I don't know if those tweaks actually work if the lines weren't originally there, so I didn't add them to the d405n version. I just tweaked the lines that were already there.

Thank you for clarifying that.
I saw a lot of modifications in D415 version and only a few in D405n, that's why I asked.
I will test it in a few minutes and let you know if the file work's for me.
Hello, Everyone!
I am new to XDA and I have to say I'm loving it!
I know a bit of hacking and such but for the life of me I can't grasp the concept of decompiling or recompiling apk's, i know how to do it but i get lost when it comes to editing.
I am on the new Note 4 (SM-N910T3) and every rom i've seen released for it either has 3minit battery, potato clock ect ect...
Personally i am more of a stock guy and I just want the DOG1 Stock system UI. Stock clock, stock battery, stock drop down.
Is there any way for me to acquire this? Any way i can pull it from the stock MD5 file or a place that has the stock files?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
SIDE NOTE: Does anyone know why when i boot the phone up, stock or custom rom I always get like one vibration and then 3 vibrations... not a big deal really but its just something i noticed
You can maybe get it from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=62368968
I haven't tried it but it looks like he posted a pure stock version of DOG1

Hmmm, Haven't seen that one, maybe i can make a backup of my current rom and flash this to rip the system UI. Thanks.
I was thinking maybe just download the ROM and pull the systemui apk out of the ROM zip. Then possibly you can replace your existing one with the stock one using a file manager. Not 100% sure if that would work because of force close issues.. you'd have to be able to set the permissions in time and then reboot. In any case, make a backup first for sure!

Just add this line to build prop
ro.config.hw_eyes_protection=7
If it doesn't work probably you don't have the required files in your ROM......And yes....It doesn't work with Esal Kernel probably because of old patches

Maybe you don't have the lib files in your rom version.
These libs are included in EMUI 4.0.3
Maybe from B596......

i added the two lines and rebooted but the minimum volume level is unchanged.
as far as i understand the two lines set the amount of volume levels (how many positions has the volume slider) not the minimum allowed value

i don't think it's there because this constraint has been introduced with Nougat so it shouldn't be there on Marshmallow roms
this is what i've done:
- i've downloaded the old 3.5.4 OxygenOs
- extracted the file mixer_path.xml
- compared with the one coming from the Oxygen 4.1.6
comparing row by row these are the differences:
none of these rows seem to affect the minimum allowed ringer volume...

Seems to be working great here.
To solve the low brightness , go to TWRP folder, open .twrps file, fine the 255 value and change it to 4095. this is a left over from the Redmi Note 4 import.
Error when uses
C:\adb>adb shell
- exec '/system/bin/sh' failed: No such file or directory (2) -

Yes you need to make the brightness changes via the file. It would keep that way.
Look for this line:
tw_brightness_pct
If you can change it code wise it would be best of course.
