Is there a way to support honor 5c of otg?

not supported by default.
an otg enabled custom kernel wold be needed for it,hope developers bring it in the near future.

Chance Of Lineage OS

Is there any chance of getting at least Unofficial Lineage OS rom for our Honor 5C? Since Lineage OS team is asking people to comment their device name and model no. so that they can provide unofficial version. Official is not possible since Cyanogenmod blog didn't support Honor 5C officially. Here is the link, do check it : http://www.lineageosrom.com/2016/12/official-lineage-os-request-list-for.html
It would be great if we get a Lineage OS rom for Honor 5C.

It is difficult to give a 100% accurate answer, no dev is showing interest to bring lineage

Yes that's the main issue. No development support is there for Honor 5C. Bt Honor 8 being a kirin device got good development support.

That's because honor is focusing on honor 8 more than any device

if the cm build gets built and made stable then it would be easy to port it over. but thats gonna take a while

Exactly, the build up process is the hardest part to support a device, once there's a stable ROM, you'll a wave of others coming

No please. It may Brick the phone. Go with the ROMs available in ROM section for 5C.

Elite, arsenik or LOS

@Meticulus with CM14.1 & RR released builds 5-Nov-2017 for P9 lite/
I flashed it on my NMO-L31C636B152 (4.1.2 eMiu)
Trick is that I flashed OEM VNS-L21 before flashing RR
NO RIL/ Single sim works/data/ calls
If I flash with NMO-L31 OEM, I will end up with RR boot without Signal from simcard.

Of course not. Hope this was a joke.

Obviously there is no development for our P8 beyond customizations made on the original MM ROM. If we do not have Nougat, how do we pretend to have Oreo? Greetings to all.

i am very sad with this phone because its roms stopped at android 6 >>

Exactly. Apps like greenify. Titanium backup. There's a few things I wouldn't mind deleting or freezing that I don't use. Helps with performance and battery

Need twrp first

I have read of "delicacy" of this device and the ease of damaging it using rooting with lightness.
Despite having performed hundreds of "genetic experiments" on my previous devices, I think this Mate 10 Pro will leave you in peace also seen the price not so cheap ...
Apart from the fun of modding and changing rom this Huawei works too well to play with lightness.
There is no bloatware, energy consumption is optimized, and you can only do damage.
With the root I can only make it worse, so let him in peace. For a while...

Well best of luck to him then. A person who uses rooted devices for a long time, it is very difficult to get used to a non rooted phone. Android is no Android without ROOT. BTW I have already bricked my phone...

Kernel Sources released.
Firmware for Honor 9 Lite not released. SO there is delay in TWRP.
We cant able to pull some partitions using adb as Oreo restricted it.

you VOLTE guys start to annoy me. hard. dont ask me about that shiet. never again. and no i think i remember the dev said it doesnt work. normal 4g/lte no prob.
just read the thread thats the use of a forum. not to annoy someone who doesnt care about a feature u require to find out about it for you.

Sorry that you were annoyed, but my intention is not that. I only just to confirm that Jio operator in india provide 4G only services and without Voice Over LTE not able to use for calls/sms except data services.
And i am sure that he mentioned the below points.
What's not working :
VoLTE
Wireless display
Screen recording
Signal strength is reported incorrectly

Can you tell me how to flash this rom?Is it as simple as to just type fastboot flash system.... command or do I need to do some procedures (like unlocking bootloader on RN3 for example)?

i have twrp on my phone and now speek twrp by go out "no OS installed".
Have you any way what i can do ?

I have bootloader opening, flash twrp and i think it's a "Nougat-twrp"

Es gibt noch kein TWRP für das 9 lite. Wenn du da was anderes geflasht hast ist das Phone unter Umständen gebrickt. Versuche, ob du es mit der HiSuite wieder zum Laufen bringen kannst.
There is no TWRP for the 9 lite at the moment. If you flashed an other TWRP you maybe bricked your phone. You can try HiSuite to fix it. Good Luck...
