There is a porting guide for CyanogenMod on their wiki here. I would do it but without the phone, I can't and with the release of the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, I'm not going to get the P8lite now
Trying to compile
I'm trying to compile the kernel source for the ALE-L21 and i'm getting the following error:
Code:
/home/wjclub-dev/android/ndk/toolchains/aarch64-linux-android-4.9/prebuilt/linux-x86_64/bin/aarch64-linux-android-ld: no input files
make[1]: *** [init/mounts.o] Error 1
make: *** [init] Error 2
This happens with various files which I also can't find in the file system. Neither in compiled nor in the raw code. Hence I'm using the official MAKEFILE with the official Kernel Source and the official NDK I'm stranded for now.
I googled it but there is no answer. Maybe some of you can help me...
There were a lot of faults in the source from Huawei.
You could not build it without major changes.
I was able to build it with a lot of effort:
https://github.com/olrak2/make_boot_image_hi6210sft
Kernel for Android 6.0:
https://github.com/olrak2/android_kernel_huawei_hi6210sft/
I'm putting ZUK Z1 ZUI OS and source for referenced.
the ZUI OS support CDMA2000, but only with english and chinese language.
the following is ZUI source code:

source code is from ZUK official website
if there is any developer out there with zuk maybe he can look at my device tree for lenovo vibe z2 pro. it's nearly the same phone with very similar kernel and nearly the same hardware so i think unified device tree is more than possible.
https://github.com/frantisheq/android_kernel_lenovo_msm8974/tree/cm-12.1
https://github.com/frantisheq/android_device_lenovo_kingdom_row/tree/cm-12.1
https://github.com/frantisheq/proprietary_vendor_lenovo/tree/cm-12.1
this was based on device tree for oneplus one (bacon) and i am trying to rebase it on xiaomi mi4 (cancro) device tree but i couldn't make ril work yet so use cm12.1 branch based on bacon

It's been out for at least 7 months now, that's when I added it to my git.
It's still broken though... Stock camera doesn't work using a custom kernel.

Please, attach your custom boot.img or put it somewhere. I'm lazy and distracted by other things to compile it myself
Any news or developments to make an Official LineageOS for Huawei P8 Lite 2017? It would be awesome if this happened. There is already an Official Resurrection Remix OS for the Huawei P8 Lite 2017. And what should one do to make it official?
There's an official RROS for Prague? Where?
Sorry, I'm a bit out of the loop. Is it Pie?
Theres a group called OpenKirin that makes Custom ROMS for Huawei devices. They support a bunch of Huawei devices, you can check out on there website if your device is supported. They also have a telegram group. Huawei P8 Lite 2017 models PRA-LA1, PRA-LX1, PRA-LX3 is supported. They currently only make LineageOS, RR and Omni ROMS. RR is the only official rom. All of them is based on Android 8.0
They currently made Omni Pie based rom. It's in Alpha stage 2. You can flash it but there is some bugs.

Oh, I didn't know that OpenKirin's RROS is official. I flashed one of their ROMs once, it ran really well. It's a shame they don't release their ROMs without GAPPS.
At least its gapps pico.
Huawei has released the kernel sources for some devices Huawei and Honor with EMUI 9, public if there were developers interested for those who have unlocked the bootloader.
(I have not unlocked it because I do not want to pay third party services,I prefer to wait for other solutions).
