Good morning all,
I'm trying to update my P9 (EVA-L09 model) to a new software version using the Firmware Finder app.
My phone's current software version is EVA-L09C440B138.
The Firmware Finder app finds several newer software versions for C440; this includes B140, B142, B370 and B380. However, when I check installation availability with IMEI, the app says not available for installation - for any of the software.
Is there any known reason why updating to a new version with the same CUST (C440) is not working?

I've got a Hauwei p9 Build EVA-L09C346B150
I've found things like the Updater and Firmware Finder but I can't work out what firmware I can download (my carrier is Vodafone Australia and they don't seem to care about updates)
For example I have no idea if I can download firmware with a different "C" number or not. Just want to get onto the latest nougat 7.0 emui 5.0 firmware.

In the Firmware Finder version for Android, the firmware VTR-L29C605B321 (8.0.0.321) appears on my Huawei P10, but the BETA version is still in Europe and the C605 in the firmware indicates that it is for Latin America, someone has more information?

I assumed it was because of oreo.

Download the firmware, extract the zip and use Huawei Update Extractor for extracting the oeminfo from the update.app.

Since there's no L29-C432 version yet, you have to rebrand and install an older version of the rebranded version. After this you should be able to install this via Firmware Finder Proxy or HWOTA with some modifications...but no warranty for this!
Here in this forum are some good tutorials for rebranding and updating without Huaweis services.
Or just the simple way: wait a few weeks.

I haven't received any update for my PRA-LX1C02B148 for 10 months, so decided to try with Firmware finder, and I updated up to PRA-LX1C02B162. Now, the next version is, and I'm not sure should I update it, Prague-L11C02B163. I also noticed there is Oreo update on Firmware finder but it says I'm not ready for that update.
So please, help with this L11, what should I do?
You can safely update. Afaik l11 is pra-lx1 single sim, and l31 is pra-lx1 dualsim. There is also l21.

I have questions regarding to firmware update, I have mate 20 lite SNE-LX1 C461 with the update of december and current build number for my device is 8.2.0.105, as I saw with Finder Firmware For Huawei, there is 8.2.0.132 version available for my device, is it safe to download and install firmware from Finder Firmware, and if anybody had tried such procedure on their device?
I tried yesterday and there was no problem. Check if the firmware is the correct one for your device. Use te Erecovery metod.

How can I check that?
Chose the update version, scroll down to the bottom and click: check firmware access- check availability and if it matches your model it will say "Firmware approved for instalation". If it says "Firmware not approved" tap a different update pakage. When you find the proper pakage use the steps shown in erecoveri update
Don't update if is not approved!!!
You must NOT to update your Mate if is not approved by Finder Firmware. Please be aware!
Hello, how can someone tell me how to use firmware finder? I do what I have read to put the proxy in the localhost wifi and the port 8080 and it connects to the WiFi but it tells me that I have no connection

EMUI 10 for P20 Pro was not released globally yet.
Stupid question, do you have an active SIM in the phone? Initial OTA might not arrive without a SIM.
Also, I can suggest using HiSuite on a PC, it also can find new versions when you don't see OTA.
Yes, I have active SIM in my phone. But nothing happens OTA. As far as HiSuite goes, I tried a regular (non modified) version and also no updates found.
I was wondering if there are users with C605 region that have 9.1 firmware installed and how/where did they get it. I know there are some web resources that host firmware but I'm skeptical to use them without references...
The EMUI 10 you see on firmware finder is only for india region

Can somebody tell how exactly this method is used? I found the modded Hisuite and installed it and replaced files. But got No internet error. Also, not completely understanding how the FF is used along with Hisuite for installation. Thanks.

You can rebramd your phone to other region ex. Europe C432. and than you will recieve update.
Find tutorial on this forum how to rebrand region on Huawei phones.
